The point that 213374U seems to be getting at though, is that, while the worshippers are obviously shaped by the culture they live in, which in turn may or may not be shaped by the religion, the religion itself may not be helping by its very nature. I can't comment on this directly since I am just trying to summerise what I think he is saying. Incidently dont many muslim states have very close ties between state and church, such that saying that someone has been 'culturally brainwashed' when the religion is such a fundimental part of the culture is almost as good as saying 'religiously brainwashed', since the main differance of the 'advanced countaries' is that they don't have the same continuity between state and church. Would this be in any way accurate, or have I gained a completely incorrect impression?

It's not like librals arn't bias against republicans either, it's when one side tries to gain the moral high-ground when they are both doing essentally the same thing in a slightly different way that I happen to find it amusing.

Been done, it sucked apparently, and not suprising since writing a novel of the game in the first place completely misses the point. Computer games ARE the 'ultimate' storytelling medium, where you can both tell a story AND let the user interact with that story in the way that THEY want to. But it's also such a young medium that bearly anyone is even starting to use it right. For example, I KNOW my parents would apperesiate almost every aspect of planespace, and I even asked them directly 'if you were to take one of your favorate stories and put in an element of 'interaction' could you deny the boon to immersion and overall experiance'. They could not deny that the statement was true, and yet, that's not what stops them 'playing computer games', and this is similar to why computer games are so 'under appresiated'. This 'under appresiation' isn't unfair either given the current trends the most popular computer games follow.

www.yousendit.com be aware that a larger file can take a long time to upload if you are on an ADSL connection, 100MB took me a good 2 hours at least, and there is no way to really tell how much of the file has been sent or if it is still sending or timed out, other than my looking at your 'sent packets' for your internet connection. Still, easy and relatively reliable.
