I highly doubt the latter is going to happen anytime soon while the former is unlikely to happen without some major upheavals. Socialism would require a large shift in material conditions and probably a revolution or civil war. Mass automation would certainly be that shift, but I highly doubt socialists could overcome sectarianism to build a united front. UBI is the most plausible, and will likely be used in place of current welfare programs and as a supplement to low-wage jobs.

Here are MY odds: 10 percent chance of President Hillary with Democratic Senate 5 percent chance of President Hillary with Republican Senate 84.5 Percent chance of President Trump with Republican Senate 0.5 Percent chance of some other republican 100 Percent chance I'm not sure. We're going to have to see if Rubio's support coaleces around Cruz or if there's a brokered convention, in either of those cases Trump will not get the nomination and ot could very well happen. Conservatives on Trump supporters I believe it was Meshugger who posted an article a while back on how Trump was a threat to the GOP because he proved that decades of rhetoric failed to convince lower class Republicans the economic platform was good for them. Looks like they're hitting back at those supporters with the same rhetoric used against poor Democrat voters.

Sanders could get Illinois and Ohio, but Florida and NC are likely going to Hillary. Hopefully we get the Trump v Sanders in the general, but I'm thinking Trump won't get it if there's a brokered convention or if Rubio or Cruz drops out while Sanders is a long shot.
