If they introduced Level X abilities and had multiclasses go to 4 levels between PLs after VII we'd end up with a 1 PL difference and equality of ability points at 39 each. Or just introducing Level X abilities single classes would have a 6 level lead in getting the highest tier stuff and do something like giving single classes more resources to be about 1.5x a multiclass, like 3 spells per level or 18 vs 12 guile. I'd like to see either implemented with an overall increase of 10 to the level cap, mostly because the xp allows you to reach 20 with still things to do(especially if you pick a certain blessing) and because epic spells, martial abilities, and passives is always cool.

What was her last one - "It's her turn"? Gotta be better than that. Whoever thought of that one should probably be launched out of a cannon."Now it's really HER turn""Shouldn't a strong woman be the one to separate families?" "This **** grabs back" "Lock him up" "Yes SHE can" "She fierce when she droning brown kids" "Broke: Rich Man's World; Woke: Rich Woman's World"

Carnage only inflicts a third of base damage as raw, I can see why that would be overkill with some of the other classes attack abilities but it's also a reason why carnage isn't as good as it was in PoE. Should probably be bumped up to 50% base +3-5% per power level. It might be too overpowered. I think keeping the AoE attacks on specific weapons is best, but they should do full damage and the AoE is reduced.

Because they enjoy getting pegged and kickbacks from nestle. Liberals do the same, but they first want formula manufacturers to throw a few bucks to pride or some ****.

Given the requirements of faith, devotion, or an animal companion it makes sense for those classes to not see as much use. Still sad though. It's the same reason why Serafen isn't Cipher with every potential combination despite being a psychic, the devs wanted to make sure there was a single class option for every class with all the companions. I would have preferred Mindstalker to pure Barbarian for him but that just didn't happen.

The story is trying to be too urgent to really be an "open world story." It would've made a lot more sense for the factions and their interactions to be front and center, but I guess then you'd have difficulty drawing the Watcher out of Caed Nua. So why even re-use the existing player character? What would've been wrong with new characters? As we saw, it was completely plausible for characters from the first game to have made their way to the Deadfire Archipelago on their own - it's not like they all hung out in Caed Nua, they all had their own things to be doing. Continuity, which is overrated. I hope future PoE titles are standalone and that the DLC covers what would be a sequel, preferably in the form of an endgame expansion like ToB(but good) or Mask of the Betrayer.

All bioware games post BG2 are bad, fite me irl. BGT's big advantage over PoE and Deadfire is the breadth of content, even without the many content mods it feels substantially bigger and a playthrough of the vanilla trilogy is probably longer than 2 of a PoE/Deadfire with expansions/dlc, more if you count the EEs but I don't. More so than mechanics or setting that's what really makes it a gem, if they cut out half the content to let you chase an emo elf and his vampire sister between exploring sparse areas and one floor dungeons the game would have been relegated to the dustbin of history instead of put on its pedestal.

I prefer Deadfire's consistency, particularly for martial classes. Something that bothers me about PoE are the per rest abilities like Finishing Blow or Clear Out, which are inferior to the rest of the classes abilities in terms of availability and inferior to the per rest spells in terms of power. I also remeber the cluster**** that was per emcounter spells before Spell Mastery got introduced and I see Deadfire's casting system as an attempt to avoid either of those patchwork solutions, which I personally enjoy more.

I'm looking into making a Spellblade that focuses on dual wielding melee weapons and uses wizard spells for buffs and debuffs. Right now I'm planning on using Grave Calling and Hel Beckoning for weapons, Devil's Breastplate or Miscreant's Leather for armor, and Arkemyr's Illuminating Discoveries for the grimoire. What I'm wondering is what subclasses are best for this (in 1.2 beta), what accessories I should look to equip, and any potential pitfalls to what equipment I've decided on. Already beat the game with a Battlemage on hard, but no experience with Spellblade. Character will be a hired mercenary for new dlc, and if I like it a new playthrough.
