  1. I'll try. Oh man you're going to be surprised.
  2. Maybe Connie will start throwing books when Steven gets in trouble and tell him to use his shield. And I watched a lot, just finished 11.
  3. Maybe, but so far only Steven can eat like Usagi.
  4. SU episode 7 American male Usagi finds his Mamo-chan and loses his funky flow.
  5. Cancel Culture has gone too far. I'm now going to take the Dershowitz initiative and get you fired.
  6. I can believe that, of all things I was expecting in SU, body horror was not among them. Popcorn is a weird thing to put on a waffle. It'd clash with everything on the plate and makes no sense with either flavor or texture.
  7. Steven Universe Together Breakfast. Wtf who puts popcorn on waffles, throw some chicken on instead if you're doing anything. Steven's taste is dubious lmao. Right now I'm starting to like Garnet's deadpan delivery a bit over Pearl's potentiall madcap antics, Amethyst is my least favorite in a way where I don't hate her but I'm not excited when she's on screen like I am for the other two. Episode 5: Frybo's revenge. Funny and a spotlight on Pearl, which is nice. Episode 6: Cat Fingers. ..... ..... .... OH MY GOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Just saw the Cheeseburger backpack episode. Pearl seems like she could snap eventually, but so far I think she's the best gem on the show. Steven is pretty much a male and american Usagi without a Mamo-chan or Tuxedo Kamen to obsess over (tho that can change, I'm only 3 episodes in so far). The gem placement seems weird, like I can see why Garnet's gem(s?) are on her hands to summon the big fists, but Pearl, Amethyst, and Steven's gems don't really seem to go with their gem weapons......unless Steven's belly is protection as is the shield. Which would be weird. So far it has been fun without too much to think about. I'm not craving a cheeseburger tho. I do. Let me know when you finish Battle Tendency, I think it's better than Phantom Blood in most ways but want to ask your thoughts about how it compares.
  9. @BartimaeusHe says that in the sub too. In English. Lmao. The OH MY GOD man from JoJo would be proud.
  10. First two episodes of Steven Universe.
  11. To have a series of failures and shortcomings from two iterations of Sailor Moon and to have learned nothing from them is just baffling about Crystal. Whatever, I'm not watching it. What I am watching is Stephen Universe and/or the London Snow arc of the Great Pretender. I've been feeling vaguely nauseous all week and I'm taking Friday off so I should be able to start them.
  12. It's time to fight Unicorn of War to the death.
  13. The longest I've ever gone is 50 hours, but I frequently had stretches were I would sleep maybe two hours a night over 10-15 days and the sleep deprivation hit harder then than just not sleeping, maybe it was because of slow burn. I would hear stuff, see things out of the corner of my eye, and bright patches of color would routinely pop up in my field of vision. It's hard to say what the weirdest thing I've written was from those days is, and what you guys would consider weird. Like I think the weirdest was a short story featuring a sociopathic unreliable narrator who was recounting how monsters had infiltrated a mental ward he was confined in. But others think it was a script for a girl who had been raped and coped with it by believing it was an immaculate conception and ended up starting a cult in East Texas.
  14. Finished The Great Pretender Singapore Skies It's a fun anime that is not only broken up into seasons, but parts as well that end up being roughly the length as a movie. I had this hanging because I started Sailor Moon and Puella Magi Madoka Magica turned out to be hugely engaging, but I'm glad I got to get back into it. It follows a gang of swindlers who cheat bad people with extravagant schemes and for the most part ends up being a fun ride. Since it is broken up into small parts, I'd recommend watching each as a movie and taking a break if you want a change of pace. I may have exceeded that level once or twice. I had....strange thoughts when I wasn't sleeping.
  15. Holy ****, that's a lot of work even by manganka standards. I'm surprised she was even able to do what she did. Have you met the gang of ancient fitness gods in JoJo yet?
  16. I don't remember that. Is it more powerful than the Sword of Luck and Pluck?
  17. You'll just have to wait and see, but when the last few episodes came I immediately thought of Shinji based on how she acted.
  18. It is a classic for a reason. @Bartimaeus
  19. They don't pose nearly as well though. @Bartimaeus
  20. Man I wish I could **** up as much at my job as cops do and just get rewarded for it.
  21. @majesticWell I believe they could be right about anime Rei, with the advantages of filler allowing Rei to be fleshed out comes with the disadvantage of that being taken by the writers as having her be mean to Usagi nonstop. Same as Ami studying or Makoto being reminded of her senpai evey episode they get attention. It's not hard to believe the manga is better than Crystal, simply because Crystal is a CGI abomination that gives real bad uncanny valley vibes. It probably is still really rushed and most of the cast doesn't feel fully realized.
  22. So I guess Rei being a bitch is inherent to her character.
  23. That sounds like it could be good in some ways, like an evil sailor guardian could be interesting. But given how light the manga is, I bet there's not much there. If anything Shinji gets worse as time goes on. It makes sense given everything, but it's annoying to watch.
