  1. A shame about Breach shutting down the server at the end of the month. The game had potential.
  2. Base defense mission in Phoenix Point was the biggest garbage I have seen in a backer build. I hope they rethink this or I'll have wasted money on this game. You have to defend vital installations around the base. The fact there is a base layout makes you think that you should put some thought into planning bases (once the game releases and you get to actually build them). Then comes the defense mission. Your team starts in two remote rooms. Every room with an objective to defend also has a big hole in the wall: a spawn point for the aliens. I think I had 8 different spawn points. 3 of the 8 rooms got taken out in turn one before I even managed to leave the starting rooms. As aliens randomly spawned in various rooms and got to attack the moment they spawned, it was impossible to strategically defend anything, as they spawned right next to the objectives I had to defend, obscured by the objectives, and just opened fire right away.
  3. Besides talent crafting obviously
  4. The ghosts were the only side quest in the previous version of the game. The garden the only thing to do on the island. The optional bosses like frafnir or the hollow knight though were in from the start. Really like how things have been fleshed out.
  5. I did the first 25 backer ghosts and some other side quests like that. Need to do the Zaber festival, but also have all these treasure maps
  6. I only just got out of the warehouse. You'd so expect a boss fight there...
  7. Though after Gizmo's post I have to wonder if formatting my CV in Star Wars intro style wouldn't be fun for the next job application.
  8. I don't think this the right way or format to pitch Obsidian ideas.
  9. Chill, The Cain-rap had Deckard Cain himself saying that he looked like Patrick Stewart and sounded like Sean Connery
  10. Getting talents right and learning your stances is the basis of the game. I died to Mushriga last night. The story boss was no trouble. Also died to Frafnir. But that doesn't count as I am nowhere near beating him. At least I beat the burnacle.
  11. Did you beat them in the end?
  12. omg the swimming level, the sound effects, I need this game. It is a good example of how strange games could be back then.
  13. Not playing anything. Installed the epic Store and been I'll since.
  14. Tried the new build for Phoenix Point. My heavy is useless. Most my soldiers are. But the heavy is in a league of their own. Can't hit a building.
  15. I might have as well.
  16. I took a break after rescuing Taika
  17. The Epic Store gives Oxenfree for free. Which made me chuckle.
  18. Tears of joy, I am certain
  19. You are dead to me! Dead! How was my funeral?
  20. I'll be installing the Epic Store tonight
  21. I'm not pre-ordering a year in advance. Halfway through someone is bound to make a flash sale on the pre-order and I'll kick myself
  22. As always, the "disappointment" with the first bloodline came mostly from having followed it since announcement. When every vampire was planned to be unique. When there weren't going to be hordes of nameless enemies. Then you got to the end of the game and the sabbat were just that.
  23. I'm patiently waiting for Stygian. November I think...
  24. Following Mamoulian into Earthlock. Quite a few little and not so little changes. New Trade Post location with repeatable gather quests. Little bird cages seem to be hidden in locations, letting you free the crows inside. They seem to really have fleshed out the game with what had been missing.
