There were actually two attempts to make another game. First one was right after the last one, stopped production because lack of interest. Second one was more recent, but it was also cancelled in favor of this new game. I'm surprised with the "lack of interest" in the first attempt, the second attempt was even tried. Not surprising they decided to do something different with the IP. I figure if they ever go back to the story of Kain (which I doubt, honestly) they'll either ignore or change whatever continuity this game creates to suit what they're doing...so still not seeing the issue. If they wouldn't have made defiance a God of War type actionfest and instead continued with the puzzle and platforming of Soul Reaver, it would have continued and the series would have ended properly.

Far as I can tell it's during the war that occurred after Kain raised his lieutenants but before he sent Raziel for a swim. Edit: On second thought that makes no sense since Raziel's clan wouldn't have wings then, but then why are they fighting alongside the rest of the Vamps if they know Kain killed their leader? Whatever. Their sites says that the Razielim are survivors, and they re-teamed with those other two clans because the humans are suddenly bringing the heat. It also says this happens after Raziel chases Kain through time.

I went to their forums and their fans are giving them major **** over this. Especially how the vampire classes don't make sense and they look and act nothing like they did in Soul Reaver.

To be fair, the game looks...interesting. Lore wise however...wtf? What time period is this? Kain's Empire? Where is Kain himself? Razielim...while I've always wondered what they look like, why are they alive? I thought they were wiped out? In fact, why are the Vampire Clans all buddy buddy? Star Wars is a much more vast universe than Nosgoth.

Sorry to hear you are disappointed, I imagine we will see this in certain KS projects. Question from my side, why would you want to play a game like this in Beta. Aren't you guaranteed to experience bugs? Strangely, no real bugs as of now, just frustrating game features that could theoretically be fixed.

Especially after the whole video game/alternate ending.

Yeah, I already sent them my opinion. One good critique. There are these "battles" that happen and they don't take place in the same open world you've been working on. These are fun, it's like the game but sped up.

So Godus is like the first game I funded that I have now. And it kind of blows, even if it is in Beta. You have to wast points in order to move so much land just to get that one treasure chest in order to progress. It's difficult to destroy houses so they can built more modern ones. Town Center's rising prices are ridiculous. So yeah, they need to make moving land free so the game can be fun and not frustrating. The other grievances can be dealt with. Hopefully this game gets better once it's off beta

Well, since the GTA-series has been a satire of hyper-masculinity and mass consumption, i would bet that the female lead would not behave very feminine so to speak. Am I the only one filled with a quiet rage every time someone claim GTA is a satire? It's power fantasy with some self-awareness. Self-awareness can be confused for satire and there's lots of satire in the unimportant details (such as Republican Space Rangers), but there's also crude jokes and parody just as frequently (Post-Op, hi-larious...). You're right, it's as much of a parody as Scarface was.

Funny how Saints Row is more progressive, being able to play transgenders and all. That being said, I think GTA is ready for a woman protagonist.

At the very least I want the the next two stretchgoals. I doubt it can reach 900k, which makes me sad, because I want Hero Mode so bad. Playing through the game as Rotty Tops would be awesome. 700k is all I wanted. Edit: I'm happy to report that Uwe Boll's Postal 2 movie has gotten less than 15% of its $500k goal halfway through the campaign. I'm surprised it got that far. He's an asshat.

Who gave you the smack? The people that spawned you or some strangers at a building you're sent to learn stuff from? I don't mind a smack or two from parents (as I have) but any other person initiating physical violence should be prepared to face physical reprisal either form the victim or the family.
