  1. Always love the "anonymous source" reports. What's the batting average on those?
  2. On the non-Facebookgate 2014 front: Wolfenstein: The New Order will have a $100 Collector's Edition that doesn't include the game: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-26-wolfenstein-the-new-order-panzerhund-edition-doesnt-include-the-game
  3. If Notch said it's bad then it clearly MUST be bad. Grab your pitchforks and torches, everyone! In all seriousness, journalists must be high-fiving over this news. We're going to be bombarded with approximately 800 bajillion editorial pieces about how Facebook buying Oculus is the end of the world and how Facebook buying Oculus is the greatest thing that has ever happened in the history of humanity over the next few months.
  4. I'll bet you would be if EA was taking over PE... which is exactly what this is like to the OR backers. I'm going to write Kickstarter over this and if they cannot draft terms to prevent this sort of thing in the future then they can just remove my account, because I won't be supporting anything else. Your comparison is incorrect. Oculus did a Kickstarter for an early dev kit. To the best of my knowledge they have delivered a dev kit to each of their backers, fulfilling their obligation. They have since gone on and made a second iteration of the dev kit and now they were bought by Facebook. So if you want to make a analogy with Pillars of Eternity, this would be as if Obsidian finished Pillars of Eternity, went on to make Pillars of Eternity 2: The Search For More Pillars independently, then were subsequently bought out by EA. I wouldn't be thrilled with that happening, that's for sure, but I wouldn't be screaming bloody murder at Kickstarter either since Obsidian had fulfilled their Kickstarter obligations.
  5. Well, while I'm not thrilled about the Facebook buyout of Oculus, I'm not flipping out about it either. I am, however, enjoying other people losing their **** over this. Highly entertaining.
  6. Like Sarex, I can't imagine a single scenario where this card would be the ideal choice. I imagine Nvidia figures there are people stupid and/or snobbish enough to buy the card. They're probably correct.
  7. A single 6GB Titan is $1000, this is essentially 2 of those fused together. /does math Something is not adding up here.
  8. That looks and sounds really interesting. It will be interesting just how far the game will let you "break" it.
  9. I leave this thread for one day and THIS happens?

  12. Will it feature a forge that's in the sky, or will it be a more traditional ground-based forge that will allow you to hammer out skies? Maybe there won't even be forge at all. The promise of a forge could just be a red herring.

That actually worked out well for me. They got the exciting games out of the way earlier, then with all the late games being blowouts I didn't feel compelled to stay up and watch them, meaning I don't have to be a zombie at work today.

Creighton is playing the part of the proverbial one-legged man in an ass kicking contest.

That UNC/Iowa St. game Wow, that was a fun game to watch!

Yeah, that game was super duper exciting and tense all the way through with tons of momentum swings.

Down go the Shockers, the undefeated season is over.
  18. Like chew and screw? So I want to make a meatball sub. I have meatballs, sauce, onions, cheese... oops no rolls. But wait, I have a loaf of garlic bread on hand. /lightbulb lights up over head Pray for my arteries.

Is there a better weekend of sports than the first 2 rounds of the NCAA Tournament? (I know the NCAA is trying to sucker us into thinking this is round 3, but that's a bunch of hogwash. Those play-in games are not round 1, no one gives a crap about those games outside of the teams involved)

Starting the day's action off with a thrilling game between Stanford and Kansas and another high seed goes down.
  21. Quen is so insanely overpowered in that game. With maxed out Quen you don't need anything else really.

Ugh, somebody had a little too much to drink last night, and by somebody I mean me, and by a little too much to drink I mean a lot too much to drink. I definitely got overagressive celebrating UCONN taking down 'Nova. Sorry 'bout that folks.
  23. Keyrock replied to Leferd's topic in Way Off-Topic
Heck yes! Just like in my bracket and as I've said, UCONN won again and moved on to the Sweet 16. Seeding UCONN 7 was a travesty, but it's all good now since they just beat the NCAA's darling #2 Wildcats. Might as well call UCONN the #2 seed now, huh, bitches? Suck on that, corrupt, skewed, committee. Had you seeded the tournamenyt correctly, your precious overrated Wildcats might still be in it. Oh well. Suck it.

For a low scoring game that Dayton/'Cuse game was hella exciting. I was going bonkers during the last 2 minutes (15 minutes in real time).
  25. Keyrock replied to Leferd's topic in Way Off-Topic
Man, we're getting some st00000oooOOOOoo000ooOO00oopid low scoring games today. Dayton/'Cuse is 20-18 at the half. 20-18! Still, this game is infinitely more watchable than the earlier anti-score-fests for 2 reasons: 1) Bill Raftery - He's the freakin' best. Far and away the best color commentator in The States. Only Gus Johnson comes anywhere close to being as entertaining. Onions! 2) Allie LaForce - We only get a few brief glimpses of her during the game, but during those glimpses I'm like
