For clarity, cut-scene kills don't count against my pacifist run since, you know, I have no control over those. Kate makes one heck of a first impression. I'm also making a small revision to my pacifist run rules. No harming civilians except disguise carriers, since I have to knock them out to take their clothes. It may be possible to get through the game without ever using a disguise, but this desperado difficulty pacifist run is going to be hard enough as it is. I'm hardcore, I'm not THAT hardcore. Anyway, wedding level finished. Maybe if I manage to pull off this pacifist run I'll try the desperado difficulty pacifist no disguise run, but not the first time through, because that sounds ludicrously difficult, assuming it's even possible.

It's actually not. I can't remember the game, but I remember cases of games running on Linux via WINE with better performance than natively on Windows. It's extremely rare for newer games, but it's actually quite common for older games, since Windows' own compatibility layer for older versions of Windows is kinda garbage.

RIP Bilbo Baggins.

Because I need something, anything to cheer me up, here's a nun throwing the first pitch at a White Sox game and painting the corner:

First a global pandemic, then mass layoffs, then civil unrest, and now apparently an "abnormally large" dust cloud is headed across the Atlantic toward the gulf coast. https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/abnormally-large-dust-cloud-making-5000-mile-trek-across-atlantic/761708/amp 2020 isn't even halfway over yet. What's next, locusts? It's going to be locusts, isn't it? Alright, which one of you jokers broke the seventh seal?

Flagstone level finished. Zero kills, zero civilians assaulted. The desperado difficulty pacifist run continues.

That's probably still better than dead silence. When rasslin' first had to do shows without fans, initially WWE just had the matches in dead silence, and it was awful. AEW had the bright idea of having some of the wrestlers not competing at that moment form a small crowd around the ring to cheer, boo, and all that jazz. It's not the same as 5000 paid fans, but it's lightyears better than dead silence.

I'm starting to shop for a case, since the good ones tend to perpetually be out of stock, on account of everybody buying them up as soon as they get more in stock. I don't want to get into a situation where I can buy all my components but have to settle on a case since all the good ones are sold out, plus it's not like it will go bad sitting in my closet for 3 or 4 months. This is the one I'm leaning toward: https://www.newegg.com/black-be-quiet-pure-base-atx-micro-atx-mid-tower/p/2AM-0037-00071?item=9SIA68VB0W1038 It has great thermals in stock configuration with good noise levels (on account of large [140mm] low rpm fans) and has a nice classy look (I don't want a case that looks like a Gundam or something). The 2 aRGB strips are understated enough, I don't mind aRGBs if they're simple and classy looking, I just don't want something crazy with loud flashing or changing lights that will make me want to take rave drugs and break out the glow sticks.

I have to admit that I like to do some of the set-piece kills just to see them, like Then I reload my last quick save and do it non-lethal style.

Oops, wrong thread

I finished the first real mission : Some of those badges are unattainable to me, since I'm going pacifist. Going pacifist definitely makes the game MUCH harder, and the game is already quite hard on desperado difficulty (more ponchos [elites] and view cones fill up ludicrously fast). There were so many instances I could have easily killed thugs, whereas taking them out non-lethal took a lot more patience and planning. I also miss out on some fun set-piece kills this way, but this is a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Not recommended for a first playthrough regardless of player skill? Don't tell me what to do, Mimimi You play as kid Cooper in the tutorial prologue. The tutorial continues in the first "real" level. In the above picture the game told me to throw my knife and kill the thug from a distance, but I'm going pacifist style. The game even asks me to pick up the knife I never threw in the picture below.

The fact that non-lethal is that much more difficult is why I'm going to try it. This is one of the very very very few game genres I'm actually good at. In most other games I stick to normal difficulty or even drop it to easy/casual, on account of sucking.

I personally like the darker tone of the core MegaTen games more than the Persona games. They're not necessarily better, they just appeal to me more.

We finally get a Persona on PC and it's IMHO the worst one.

All these open world games I don't care about getting forever sequels and remakes/remasters, meanwhile I'm STILL waiting for another Bully game.
