  1. Beyond a Steel Sky out on Apple Arcade now (I'm assuming that's for iOS devices), Steam in July. No word on GOG, but hopefully there and Humble also. I'd embed the trailer here, but for the last couple of days I can't post any videos here, I always get a 403 Error.
  2. Horizon Chase Turbo For your OutRun arcadey racing needs. Some nice modern touches to the old skool low poly aesthetic, like the driver's (in that car, most are not convertibles, so you don't see the driver) hair moves and it moves more when you go faster. I really like the low poly aesthetic when it's done well, like it is here. Side benefit is that it runs buttery smooth.
  3. I kinda feel like the 2nd wave, spike, whatever you want to call it, we're having here in Murica was inevitable. I know a lot of people are going to say that the states going back into lockdown mode because the numbers are rising opened up too soon, and that may be so, but I suspect that this would have happened even if said states had waited longer, simply because of how Muricans are wired. They could have waited another month, another 2 months, or another 4 months and we still would have gotten this spike with dumbasses going out and being stupid then spreading it to everyone else. Keep in mind, I'm basing this on no scientific data whatsoever and solely on my experiences of living in Murica for 34 years.
  4. That bathroom must have a pretty tall ceiling to accommodate an ettin.
  5. Holy ****, this is actually happening. My favorite book series of all time, narrowly edging out The Dark Tower. I do wonder how Asimov will translate to the screen. His books tend to be quite slow at times, especially when he goes into 3 to 4 page long, meticulously detailed descriptions of technologies or theories. I imagine they'll mostly just skip or gloss over those parts. Please don't **** this up. It's arguably the greatest sci-fi epic ever written. Are they going to do the original trilogy, or are they doing the prequels and sequels as well? There's a definite drop off in quality to the sequels (still good, just not amazing like the trilogy) and an even steeper drop off to the prequels.
  6. GD is ahead of the curve and an inspiration.
  7. I've been pondering doing that myself. I need to learn proper farming and survival skills over the next couple years. By then, hopefully, I've got a house in the mountains of North Carolina or Tennessee (same mountains, different sides) and I'll just cut the cord and disappear. Maybe not full on Jeremiah Johnson, but basically make 1 trip a month into town for supplies and straight up hermit style beyond that. Civilization can go ahead and destroy itself, **** em. I'll be off on my own plot of fairly secluded land, living as much as I can off my own crops, with a shotgun, a rifle, and a pistol.
  8. I have neither sung Happy Birthday not had it sung to me in at least 20 years, probably closer to 30. The Polish birthday song "Sto Lat" (100 years) is just as corny as the English one, btw.
  9. Narrator: And blow to smithereens the bridge they did. This level presented an extra challenge for my pacifist run; I had to make sure I got everybody off the bridge before I destroyed it. There was one particularly tricky thug I had to save. Knocking him out wasn't the issue. The problem was that where he was, on some scaffolding, I wouldn't be able to carry his body to terra firma, since none of the characters I had available in that part of the mission could carry a body up a ladder (Hector possibly can, but I didn't get to use him until after that part of the mission). To make matters worse, he was a poncho, so I couldn't lure him away from his post... at least not through conventional means. This ends chapter 1.
  10. ^ Shouldn't that be a picture of the horse Stewart Copeland fell off and broke his collar bone just before they were going to attempt to record a new album? Edit: I guess Sting is the guy who actually disbanded The Police, Copeland breaking his collar bone just killed any chance the band had of regaining their creative juices as a trio.
  11. Probably in the Bildeberg DLC.
  12. If a super volcano went off I'd almost rather be at ground zero and die quick, rather than slowly starve like the "lucky" folks that survived the initial eruption.
  13. I'd settle for the Travelling Wilburys.
  14. Yeah, the super volcano currently (it moves, or rather the crust moves) beneath Yellowstone is overdue and when it blows we may get something not unlike nuclear winter. This would be the year for it...
  15. We'll get there, give it time... Not even joking. We already pay a monthly fee to be spied on and have out data sold to other companies.
  16. The Magnicifent Five mission was brutally hard to do non-lethal. In the closing stages the game flat out tells you to kill them: I didn't, though. On the score card it says 2 enemies killed, but you can also see that McCoy had zero kills and Hector had zero kills. Those are the only characters I played in this mission soooooo.... I'm confused, but I can assure you that I did not kill anyone, so my pacifist run is intact. It's only going to get more challenging from here on out.
  17. A new Ratchet & Clank and a new Crash Bandicoot? Damn it, Sony's gonna sucker me into buying their Aperture Science console, aren't they?
  18. Is there a story to Hardspace? Are there quests or is it just a sandbox where you space hard?
  19. Why the pearl clutching over what other people think of TLoU2? I'm sure Naughty Dog are in no danger of getting **** canned.
  20. Q: What's the best play in baseball? Is it a double steal? Nope. Inside the park home run? Pretty great, but nope. A: It's the eephus: Fun fact: While there are stories of the origin of "eephus", no one knows for certain where the name comes from.
