  1. If Trump wins Pennsylvania and Michigan, and it's trending in that direction, he's got this. There will be some frothing at the mouth pink-haired women and effeminate guys if that happens.
  2. Hopefully it's at least better than the Ampere launch.
  3. Maybe the election might make it easier to buy a CPU. While everybody else is busy looting rioting peacefully protesting after the election, I'll be hitting F5 on Newegg.
  4. I'm puzzled as to why someone went through the trouble of remastering these, is there really demand for Enhanced Edition BloodRayne games? I mean, they weren't bad games, but they aren't beloved classics either. Unless they redid the controls and combat, they're going to be clunky by today's standards. Maybe they're making a BloodRayne 3?
  5. Someone with at least basic education would notice that it was a statement rather than a question.
  6. I will admit that gif of what I assume to be "Boris" has piqued my interest.
  7. It's interesting how so many people living outside the US take such keen interest in American politics. I couldn't tell you who the prime minister of Great Britain or France is, just as an example, nor do I care.
  8. That's a weird market segment. I mean, you're not going to play much of anything recent and/or demanding on a Xe MAX. But if you only want a GPU for watching videos and/or playing Farmville or whatever (do people still play Farmville?) then an APU/iGPU will suffice. Who is this for?
  9. Finished Yakuza Kiwami. It's a Yakuza game, it goes without saying that it's a great game, so pretend I didn't say that. Overall, not quite as holy **** amazing as Yakuza Zero, but what game is? The ending sequence was terrific. I shed a few manly tears during said ending.
  10. I'm already looking forward to the 2022 sequel to General Commander, Admiral Captain.
  11. What happens in The Queen City stays in The Queen City.
  12. Turns out, putting out a vidja game is a non-trivial matter, especially one as large and complex as Cyberpunk 2077. Also, this may be the most hyped vidja game release since GTA V, so the company is, understandably, under INTENSE pressure and scrutiny.
  13. It's really difficult to recreate a good PnP campaign in video game form. I can't speak for other people's PnP experiences, but what was the crux of my most memorable PnP sessions wasn't the combat, it was the interactions between the PCs and/or the NPCs; the camaraderie, the bickering, backstabbing. Combat was a thing that happened, and it was exciting at times, but it was the other stuff between the combat that I remember most fondly. By necessity, most video game RPG adaptations are combat-heavy, WAAAAAAY more combat-heavy than most PnP sessions I've had, because it's one of the simplest "exciting" things you can implement in a video game. Outside of combat; the banter, decision making, exploration, etc. it's so unpredictable as to what may happen with players. In a PnP session a good GM can adapt on the fly, improvise, take the unexpected and find ways to further and/or enhance the story. Video games can't do that. A good video game designer can predict a handful of reactions, but not nearly all the different ways players may want to take things; even if he/she could, you can't program for all different possibilities, that would be madness. By their very nature, video games are always going to be way more restrictive than PnP, simply because the human GM has been taken out of the equation.
  14. I don't think anyone expects Intel to compete with Nvidia and AMD in discrete GPUs at the beginning, at least not in the high, or mid, for that matter, end. I mean, I'm sure Raja Koduri will talk a big game, he's great at that, but, realistically, you can't expect a company that has never released a discrete GPU to the market to be competitive right away. A few years down the line may be a different story. Hopefully, by the time I'm building my next desktop rig, presumably 6 or 7 years from now, I have 3 viable brand options. That would be great. We'll see.
  15. You will eventually. Edit: Here's a picture of the static pressure fans I will be using in the water loop to whet your appetite:
  16. I wanted to play Finger GunZ all along.
  17. Breakfast of champions: I wish I could find the person who invented Kaszanka (blood sausage) so that I could hug and kiss them.
  18. Indeed. I've been one of those weirdos using Linux on the desktop for over 15 years now.
  19. If you're Nvidia, when do you release the 3070 Ti SUPER and the 3080 SUPER? You know Jensen has those in the inside pocket of his leather jacket. Do you release them on 11/17 to **** all over the RX 6000 launch or is that too soon and you risk pissing off the people that already bough a 3070 or 3080?
  20. Today I performed my civic duty and voted. A combination of bad weather and going to the polls during normal working hours meant that I got in and out with zero wait.
  21. Mainly video editing and encoding.
