  1. Dallas Cowboys: So, uhh, tank for Trevor, I guess?
  2. Back to La Mulana 2. I feel like I'm at least 2/3 of the way through the game, hopefully I can beat it by the first week of November. I'm trying to clear my plate for the BIG NOVEMBER RELEASE. The game everyone has beem clamoring for. The hype train is practically in orbit by now. Obviously, the game I'm referring to is Wait, what game did you think I was writing about?
  3. I have my beverages all set for today's Boys/Browns game:
  4. I finished Paradise Killer, great game. That was one of the best, quite possibly the best, detective games I've ever played. It's really refreshing to play a detective game where you legitimately have to do detective work. The trial at the end was such a terrific climax too. Watching people turn on each other once the jig was up was magnifique!
  5. On the off chance that humans are still around 4 billion years from now, we should have advanced far enough to where relocating elsewhere isn't much of an issue. We'll have plenty of warning, on the order of tens or hundreds of thousands of years. If we haven't advanced enough or simply choose to stay put then we deserve to boil like lobsters.
  6. Our sun is too small to supernova. Instead, in 4-5 billion years the sun will turn into a red giant, its outer layer will swell up and either engulf the Earth, destroying it, or stop a bit short burning off the atmosphere and vaporizing everything on the surface.
  7. Assuming core counts and pricing are the same as Zen 2, I'll probably also get the 5900X. Purely for gaming, a 8 core/16 thread chip will likely be the sweet spot, given that's the configuration of the upcoming MSony (thanks Zoraptor) consoles. 12c/24t would give me some extra oomph for encoding and multitasking. 16c/32t provides even more oomph, but the markup is too steep. High-end skus tend to get the best silicon, increasing the chance to win the silicon lottery as an added bonus. I have a dream of 12 cores running at 5 GHz. It's probably a pipe dream.
  8. I've seen the "leaked benchmarks" for both the 5800X and 5900X; I'm highly skeptical. 2 reasons for my skepticisms: 1) I'm generally skeptical about these sorts of leaks. While they sometimes turn out to be true, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. 2) The numbers, quite frankly, sound too good to be true; you know what they say about things that sound too good to be true. As someone who is about to purchase a Zen 3 CPU, I would LOVE it if these numbers were real. However, I believe the great Winston Wolf put it best when he said "let's not start sucking each others' ****s just yet."
  9. Working that imaginary speed bag.
  10. There goes any and all motivation I had for going back to CE. I guess I should thank Funcom for saving me whatever the price of Isle of Siptah is.
  11. I haven't played Conan Exiles in a long time, so it's entirely possible things have changed, but I used to play it in my truck in places I could barely make phone calls, much less get an internet connection. Edit: Now that I think about it, there was an update at some point that broke offline mode and I used a simple mod that fixed it. I had no compatibility issues with the DLC I installed, but, again, this was a long time ago, so things may be different now.
  12. Nope. You can play the game completely offline.
  13. Is the Isle of Siptah completely separate or can you reach it from the "mainland"?
  14. I think I have all the evidence I'm going to get in Paradise Killer. I have a pretty good picture in my head of what happened. One suspect, in particular, I have dead to rights. I have a veritable mountain of evidence against said suspect. That said, there's more at play here than just that one suspect. Furthermore, I may be able to topple the entire Syndicate if I play my cards right. I have the game saved right outside Judge's chamber. I'm going to sleep on it and formulate a plan, then tomorrow I'll go to trial.
  15. The investigation is coming along in Paradise Killer. Several people have definitely done some questionable things, but I currently have 1 primary suspect who is especially sus. Said suspect has flat out lied to me, once that I can say 100% absolutely for sure, and likely about a couple other things too, though I can't yet be 100% certain about those. I'm not going to confront said suspect with my findings yet, I want to gather more intel before I give them a chance to explain themselves or the rope with which to hang themselves.
  16. Over/under on Cowboys turnovers this season: 100,000,000,000,000,000 1/2
  17. I started up Paradise Killer. Initial impressions are very good. You can definitely see the Danganronpa influence. The backstory of the game world is really ****ed up. The island was created by a syndicate worshiping alien gods who previously sank the world into war and bloodshed. They kidnap people from the outside world and force them to worship said alien gods in an effort to resurrect them and all those kidnapped people eventually get sacrificed. The island is inhabited by some really wacky and colorful characters. Unlike Danganronpa, the game isn't linear, you are in an open world and it's up to you where you go and how you proceed with your investigation, there is very little hand holding. It's a detective game where you actually feel like you are doing detective work, piecing together a puzzle, weighing the testimony of individuals, following up on clues, rather than going through a checklist.
  18. Paradise Killer Lady Love Dies is the character you play as. Everyone in this game has phenomenal names, by the way. This game is weird.
  19. Old skool dnb: This is some of the earliest neurofunk I can remember, right at the point as it was evolving from Techstep.
