I mainly post funny/cute pictures of other animals, since y'all got cats and dogs covered. While not as popular as cats and dogs, rats, raccoons, wombats, etc. keep me in the top 8, so I can't complain. My videos and pictures for weird and obscure games don't do me any favors in the rankings, but I do have an image to maintain.

^ I see 4 different shrines in that picture. What manner of heresy is this?

Guardian of Dark Star Lord's Mauseleum, Aten-Ra: I defeated him first try. Granted, I was down to 4 hp (224 was my max at the time), but I got the job done. 6 guardians down, 4 to go, I think.

I have heard rumbling about Big Navi having a very sizable cache as a way to address the bandwith discrepancy between GDDR6 and GDDR6X.

I'm sad not to see Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake and Snake's Revenge. Those are the only(?) Metal Gear games I haven't played.

I mean, it's Konami; I would have been shocked if they put any more effort than the absolute bare minimum into these ports.

For a workstation Titan-class card, I could see that. HBM2 for a gaming card is a mistake IMHO, a mistake AMD has already made previously and one Lisa Su would likely not repeat. HBM is just too prohibitively expensive for an increase in bandwith that's not meaningful enough (for gaming) at this point to justify the extra expense. For compute, on the other hand, HBM is great.

The guardian of Ancient Chaos: 5 guardian battles so far and each of them has been completely different. You get scriptures for defeating Anu, which make you immune to bats. Not a huge deal, but it definitely saves on some frustration. More importantly, I can now open 5 gates.

At this point I still consider both 8K and ray tracing pipe dreams. My entire focus is 4K rasterization only performance. Ray tracing is doable, especially at reduced resolution/settings, but it's something I'll probably enable once for a half hour to admire how much shinier the shiny is, then promptly shut it off and never use it again, because I'd rather play games at 4K 100+ FPS at medium to high shiny than 40-50 FPS at maximum shiny. (How's that for a run-on sentence?) To that end, the 3080 has the performance I'm looking for, but I want to see what AMD is bringing to the table. I don't expect the Radeon 6900XT, if that is indeed the name of the Big Navi flagship, to have as good ray tracing performance as the 3080, but I don't care about that. If it can match the 3080 in rasterization and undercut Nvidia's pricing, that would be the dream (lower power draw would be icing on the cake). I guess I'll find out in about a month.

Hopefully people get this mad buying frenzy out of their system and a RTX 3080 or Radeon 6900XT is actually available for me to buy in a couple months.

I finished D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, or what was ever made of it. It's too bad Swery left the studio and a follow up season will never be made since the story leaves off on a cliffhanger. Still, it was worth playing through since the one season that was made was really great and just experiencing the lunacy was highly entertaining.

If I was a bond villain, after capturing Bond I would pretend like I was about to spill the beans about my plan, meanwhile I would nonchalantly pull out a handgun and put 2 in his chest and 1 in his head. It wouldn't make for much of a movie, I guess that's why I never hear back after the auditions...

I mean, I'd argue that you'd have a much easier time identifying the body after gunshot wounds than a bomb, but what do I know?

How did this escelate from a 1 on 1 duel to leveling the better part of a city block?

RIP Road Warrior Animal. Hawk died in 2003, so the whole team in now gone.

In a 1 on 1 battle between a person with an assault rifle and a person with a missile launcher, my money is on the person with the assault rifle. A missile launcher is a piss poor anti-personnel weapon.

Standard Swery cast of wacky characters:

Coming back at you with another obscure trailer nobody asked for featuring a game only I will probably ever play. This absolutely looks like my jam. A murder mystery on a weird island full of wacky characters. Apparently there's basically zero hand-holding. Find and follow up on clues on your own. Figure out what's legit and what's a red herring on your own. Accuse anyone, whether they're actually the killer or not, it's all about making a convincing case. Also, the dev is a big fan of Danganronpa, which is a plus in my book. My backlog is ludicrous right now, but I wishlisted it on Steam. I definitely intend to play it eventually.

I started D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die. Early on I got introduced to Amanda, a woman wearing a leotard and a comically huge bow in her hair who acts like a cat. When I first met her she had a mouse in her mouth and she jumped on me scratching at me. Later on I had a conversation with my detective buddy about clam chowder. Yup, this is definitely a Swery game. Gameplay, at least so far, seems to mostly consist of QTEs and just walking around and examining things. Given how hit & miss (more miss than hit) Swery is when he does actual gameplay, maybe it's for the best. Thrilling twitch gameplay isn't what I play Swery games for anyway. I'm in it for the wacky characters, ludicrous storylines, and overall goofy weirdness.
