Tech specs for DA:I: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=1883&game=Dragon%20Age%203:%20Inquisition HDD Space: 16 GB. That's pretty impressive given the area sizes they have been boasting about.

gkathellar: Brilliant suggestions. This would help in combat immensely auto-pause-wise. Great suggestions!

How does the delay affect the Narrative Design ?
IndiraLightfoot replied to Sensuki's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Sensuki: You put in better words than me, but this is included in my las point in my Prios thread, so I certainly approve of such increased reactivity. Equally important: They can scour all the texts and convos for bugs and errors and typos, and simply make them excellent now. -
[301] Miss, Graze, Hit and Crit Thresholds possibly wrong?
IndiraLightfoot replied to Sensuki's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
I know, I know. What my suggestion really comes down to is me being dissatisfied with the graze concept. Best thing would be, IMHO, to tunr all graze into miss/blocked. Them that fifty-fifty balance would make vey much sense for a default range. In fact, it would be perfect. -
Matt516: That's where I stand as well on Early Access for PoE specifically.

[301] Miss, Graze, Hit and Crit Thresholds possibly wrong?
IndiraLightfoot replied to Sensuki's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
None taken! And look again. I've thought it through. I've actually increased misses/blocks, and grazes are technically hits as well. In fact, it just a mild increase in damage, which I think is needed. I compare to the low-level BG1 and IWD1, where fights get resolved in a fast and fun way. I reckon, the fights still take too long for a RTwP-game (disregarding the killer Assassin rogue build). -
[301] Miss, Graze, Hit and Crit Thresholds possibly wrong?
IndiraLightfoot replied to Sensuki's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Hmm. Basically, this means that there's a fifty-fifty relation between miss/near-miss and hit/crit hit, at least for the default range, before accuracy and defence adjustments. I'm not too happy about it, to be honest. I think combat resolution is slightly too slow, actually. Id' like to see something like this as default range: I added Blocked just for variation. -
mute688: Cheers, mate! Casper Konefal, you're a frigging genius!

[301] No Pale Skin Tone for Pale Elf
IndiraLightfoot replied to illathid's question in Backer Beta Bugs and Support
Not at all trivial, this is a nice find, Illathid! -
I'm certain they will. When all of those who missed out on backing the game find it on Steam and elsewhere, they will get nostalgic just by hearing the great music and watching those magical isometric dreamscapes, and happily buy it. Thanks to this recent postponing of PoE, they will then most likely find it out that the game is a worthy successor of the IE games, with lots of replayability, and then buy the expansion, by the thousands.

Brave of AugustÃn to jump another KS bandwagon, I'm still waiting for his Asylum, so I'll give this a miss. Overall, I have been much more careful with my money over at Kickstarter. Also, there haven't been any projects that really have wowed me enough as of late.

On a related note: If you watch the char chreation vids for DA:I, everything looks pretty fantastic face-feature-wise, except the beards and the hair-dos. For some reason, they are super-hard to do even by today's graphical standards, prolly due to clipping issues and such.

Should we make comparisons? Lets make comparisons: I rather like the last one, though its not very Aumaua-ish I think. Body shots! I'm confused: Are the portraits or 3D models to the left the older ones (like patch 278) and the ones to the right newer ones (patch 301)? I actually prefer the ones to the left in this case.

Uomoz: Heresy! That's a piece of art right there, and each and every prop there is sacrosanct.

I think he was counting posts for Bryy, in some teasing fashion, but I'm not sure. -

Yeah, WL2 really knocked my socks off too. It's much better than expected! Also, Hiro, please score Entertainment Value as well, if you have the time. You misunderstood what it meant: "Entertainment value (the passive fun-aspect of the game: How fun was it to watch, read and listen to)" - For this, I meant you, as a watcher, a reader and a listener, while you are playing it. -
This is so very true, and actually one reason why OE will have their hands full the coming months. When making a spiritual successor of the IE games, they are actually, in a way, giving us the hope of a new and updated version of those, where lots of stuff that weren't that great are improved upon. Also, bluntly put, they have been so ambitious, even re-inventing a few wheels, in this quest for a new and improved IE-like game that they are now staggering under the weight of new-stuff balancing and their reconceived combat. In short, some of the stuff, they should have just kept like they were, which would have saved them time.

Keyrock: I hear you, and like I wrote, I have barely started a few of these games (even with my requirement of 8 h in). Come back any time, I'd love to read your scores. Overall, though, I have a feeling that you, like me, have been enjoying this year's batch of games and then some! -
