Why is Perception not highlighted for Spellcasters when all spells have horrible accuracy?
Because spells can target 3 different defenses, while physical attack usually only target deflection. It is way less brainless than it was in PoE 1.

2H swords useless in PoTD after patch?
It is make your main hand recover faster. Your full attack abilities uses offhand weapon recovery. So if u have a dagger in offhand, u can spam full attacks ability very fast.

So, how does Assassin work?
Is it? Only the first target of WotEP gets backstab bonus.

Heal on kill: I guess so. From my tests with Essential Phantom I think that the phantom gets an 1:1 copy of your items, including weapons (with enchantments). So it should proc on kill. Reviving is not possible because summons don't go unconcious but simply vanish. They don't proc effects on KO - like the Effigy's Husk has and don't leave an instance that can be a target for revive. Do phantom trigger item special that proc on unconscious when get killed?

Open/close game seems to be much slower than 1.0 release
As topic, my disk is SSD, so... or this is a memory issue? Same as opening inventory, feel much more laggy than release.

Any Cool New Soulbound Weapons in the DLC?
There' is a soulbound large shield in the new DLC that can be bound to any classes.

The new 2h sword is pretty good on a Kind Wayfarer. AoE heal on kill + White flame is sweet.

Shield holding stance - I don't quite like it
dunehunter replied to dunehunter's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)But in DF, a tower shield is hold the same way as a kite shield, you can try it in the game.

Shield holding stance - I don't quite like it
dunehunter replied to dunehunter's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Neither is particularly realistic (nor is either shield). Yeah, but that's not the major point of my thread, it's about which stance i think looks better ot me...

Shield holding stance - I don't quite like it
dunehunter replied to dunehunter's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Btw I'm not so familar with swordmanship in real world, but isn't it much more comforatable to hold the shield vertically than horizontally?? The centra of gravity is lower that way.

Shield holding stance - I don't quite like it
When comparing the stance of holding a shield below, I prefer the dark soul version. I don't care if DF's stance is more like a middle age soldier would use or not, dark soul version is just cooler

New patch, but how hard is the game?
dunehunter replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)If he were any class other than spam summon chanter it wouldn't be very helpful. And? It doesn't stop this to be a cheat..

New patch, but how hard is the game?
dunehunter replied to Matteo89.b's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)That sounds more like a cheat than a challenge, i mean the cannot flee one...

[2.0] Permanent invisible VFX after combat
As topic, wearing the boots that gives shadow form. Edit: Remove/wear gears removes the effect.

Dual-wielding, full attacks, and recovery
Actually this is easier to implement
-
Dual-wielding, full attacks, and recovery
Because we mostly only use full attack abilities, it gives people a feeling that 90% of martial abilities are full attack ones. If you click cripple attack 9 times and sap times 1 times in average, it’s 90% against 10%. It’s not true in RAW, but from practical experience, it feels like to be so.
-
Dual-wielding, full attacks, and recovery
You pretty much summarize the cases.

How Soul Annihilation’s Damage is Actually Calculated
So in summary, SA is a weapon like ability, it’s base damage is tied to how much focus you have instead of weapon base damage, plus it doesn’t benefit from lash?(or it does?).

How Soul Annihilation’s Damage is Actually Calculated
Hmmm, another case where multiclass is better?

Beta Patch 2.0 is live...and so far it looks more like a 1.5
dunehunter replied to Purudaya's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I wanna use two handed weapons, but my soul of optimizing tells me no don’t do that they suck

How Soul Annihilation’s Damage is Actually Calculated
I’m always confused how SA damage is calculated, thanks for post. Btw what’s the highest damage you are able to get with SA?

Beta Patch 2.0 is live...and so far it looks more like a 1.5
dunehunter replied to Purudaya's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yes If you can already survive from enemies, the point of SA is just kill enemies faster, or kill yourself when u normally cannot die...

Beta Patch 2.0 is live...and so far it looks more like a 1.5
dunehunter replied to Purudaya's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)If my character wanna suicide, he has better way than suicide immolation.Erm... Well the whole point was that it's far from suicide. And even if it was (which it isn't): There are also few abilities that deal a substantial amount of AoE dmg while committing suicide - so which way would be the better way for you? Few people complain about Berserker's self damage at PL 7 - although it's very high at that point. And he doesn't even have a powerful healing ability to counter that like the paladin has. Because nobody tells them. It's obscured. But they see 43 raw damage per tick on SA and go all "wooot? Nooo way!". Maybe you can quote one ability that does same amount of damage to self as suicide immolation? With high might and sworn enemy(which is bugged it applies on SA) you will do around 50 raw damage per tick to yourself. Yeah you can try heal your hp up, but I just wanna ask, does it worth doing so? The point of combat is reduce enemy hp to 0 while keep alive, and this ability which doesn't do a lot damage, counter the point of keep character alive.
