  1. I wouldn't want anything special. For some reason I think "houses" are a waste(talking about games of course). All I want is a place to put my extra items in case I need them later and maybe be able to do some crafting/enchanting alchemy. In F:NV terms, that is a cell with containers and crafting tables that does not reset it self.
  2. There is a report button. Just ask the mod who deletes this to cut the data and copy it on a cd, then burn(literally) the disk.
  3. The supply of stupid arguments like this seems endless. Do you play cRPGs to compensate for your lack of killings in real life? Or the lack of looting the houses of strangers? Yes I am compensating for the lack of adventure in my life and exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and boldly going where no man has gone before. So if that's true then the pro-romance crowd is compensating for a lack of relationships and romances in their lives. Sounds sad. I feel sorry for you guys. So you would want to start looting every crate you come across in, just so you could trade the items for that one replica sword? But you only use the sword to mindlessly kill bandits and monsters(ooooohhhh MONSTERS!), and not actually have a reason to use it, say protect your loved ones? And don't feel sorry for anyone, or make any assumptions for them. They probably enjoy their lives more than you think. People want romances as part of a whole. There is this thing called immersion and suspension of disbelief. They do not want to just be spawned in a dungeon full of monsters and slaughter their way to the final boss without reason. People like story and characters, dialogue and text, lore and exposition. You seem like you would prefer Oblivion and Skyrim over PS:T or BG. I personally won't have a problem if they are exluded, but when done well in any kind of story, game or otherwise, they can bring some really well done drama or well deserved joy when things go right for the heroes. I feel sorry for you. And you don't have anything to say do you? According to your logic people read books or watch movies that involve romance because they don't have a love life. And I feel sorry for you. Let me guess: Your favorite movie is Transformers 3 right? I'm guessing the star wars prequels are also some of your favorites. You seriously, SERIOUSLY should consider playing super mario galaxy, it's more your cup of tea.

  5. No alignment, thank god. It's really annoying, especially when perks/feats or classes take it into account. The faction reputation for NV worked much better. Actions talk louder with that I think.
  6. In MotB every companion had some connection to the plot, either through the player's curse or the wall or both. Romance or not it's good for companions and your treatment of them to have an effect and be affected by the plot. It shows they are not just swords and magic to assist the player. Kotor 2 as well. And it's obsidian, don't compare them to the fanfiction shooter makers that bioware is!
  7. Attribute/Skill based might be good, and it really worked in Fallout, but they might also make the beginning really.... stupid, case of point: Skyrim. The whole blank state, where your character knows nothing about anything prior to the beginning of the game was bad. Personally, I think choosing a class could work, by giving a background to your character and some starting skill bonuses/feats.
  8. Not making it into a f*ck date simulator would be ideal. Another good thing would be, to not have sex as "Oh, we are going to fight the final boss, let's do it before it's too late!". I really, really hated this in ME.
  9. Yes, they tried to circumvent the level scaling by adding areas with higher leveled enemies. While it was of course not perfect (Bethesda was probably breathing down their neck so that they don't make the game too hard for the kiddies, lol ^^) it was a lot better than in Fallout 3, where you could kill a super mutant with a tooth pick at level 1. ^^ Yep, NV got it much better than F3. Not perfect, but normal in NV made the F3 Very hard difficulty look like very easy(which it was even before that), without spawning deathclaws and enclave camps everywhere.
  10. This happens a lot in games true. Elemental resistances make sense a lot of times though. A fire elemental shouldn't be damaged by fire for example, if not outright get healed. I understand the weapons argument, but I never *needed* to carry more than one. And even in the witcher the two swords are very well implemented. Funny thing though, this reminded me of Guild Wars. Mesmers were hexers, but their regular attacks where the only ones that couldn't be resisted.
  11. Don't really care about achievements, unless they are really challenging. But even for that, the ingame challenges in NV worked much better IMHO.
  12. This happens with everything in Skyrim as well, not just in traps. Bethesda apparently decided that every player is a moron. In a lot of quests your only dialogue option is to ask the "elephant in the room/captain obvious question". There are absolutely no skill checks in dialogue, other than speech and that is only to get the upper hand in trades/bribes/threats. Even if your character has read every book on dragons and alduin, you still have to ask stupid questions. The worst thing is the explanation about why your dragonborn can learn shouts quickly. It made me feel the dumpest spellsword in Nirn! But if New Vegas and Alpha Protocol are anything, Obsidian hasn't lost it's touch, and the player character won't just be an idiot regardless of playstyle/stats.
  13. You obviously didn't notice the horrible changes to DAO characters. Flemeth, the dragon diguised as frail old woman changed into a MILF-wannabe is the most prominent example. Though it is a completely change style with her, it's still alienating and as I said still doesn't succeed in being sexy. Then there is a Morrigan face in the DA2 files, that thankfully never makes it in game, and makes you think she got quite a few pounds after DAO. And the Elven fish aren't better.
  14. Companion NPCs being fully voice acted is my biggest buff. The big bad throwing a speech is fine, but when your buddies that you have been going through hell with, for months or years, refer to you as knight-captain or some-such, while not under your direct command? that's annoying. like really, really annoying. Note that I'm not against voice acting in general. Just when this makes people that would logically refer to your character by name, completely ignore it.
  15. I agree with this. If all hell is about to break loose, I shouldn't be able to go to the other side of the map, kill the rats that the old woman in the bar was running from, and then returned to find everything just as it was. On the other hand even with this, it would be great to have certain cases in which your character could kick back and relax for a bit.
  16. So there is one thing that's been really bothering me lately. In every game that we can name our characters and NPCs have voice actors, NPCs will always refer to the player character as "you" or another title but never with either the first or last name. This most notable and ridicilus when your character's buddy, father, other family member, romantic interest, rival refer to the pc like that. This, combined with how much better and natural it feels playing games like the witcher or alpha protocol, which have predetermined pcs, has me dislike games that go half way(including voice acting but not a full player character name). Considering that this game will have roots in games that mostly lacked voice acting, I would be willing to sacrifice voice acting just to see npcs that should know and by extend have enough familiarity with my pc to refer to them by his or hers first or last name when appropriate. As long as I don't go blind by how small the text is at least. Would others be willing to sacrifice voice acting of NPCs, just to have that sense that their character is an actual person in that world, and not have stupid situations where the poeple closest to your character, refer to him like the soldiers hailing their Knight-Captain/"Shepard"?
  17. Wouldn't be against a nearly impossible to find "bag of holding". However if there are backpacks, they shouldn't be combined and add slots/weight limit points to the main inventory.
  18. Yeah, kill it with fire. Then cast a container spell around it a cast a planet buster spell on it. It was REALLY ANNOYING in oblivion and JE and not much better in skyrim. While we are at it, it would be good if not everything you killed respawned out of nowhere every few hours/days/travels through the area.
  19. Look like a fetish suit. Normal, yet elegant armours would be nice for females. And as for super-plate-power armours. they shouldn't even have much, if any difference from the male counterparts. Something like Elizabeth's armour would be really nice.
  20. I would prefer inventory tetris, with item rotation, as well. The thing that annoyes me about weight systems that you can carry a lot huge items as long as they don't exceed your weight capacity. How can my character carry 5 miniguns always frustrated me. Having a few small pocket sized items that weight a lot is fine, but where the f' did all the guns go, did they shrink or something? The best thing would be a combination of both, but how much would that work or sell is arguable.
  21. Pretty much. Just don't make everyone(or anyone for that matter) player-sexual like DA2 and it's going to be fine.
