New stretch goal?
The last one is a secret. Or cats.

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
It better be! At least until the next inXile or Obsidian KS project, which hopefully won't be needed if W2 and PE are successful.

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
$3,370,962 on KS alone. Are we securing the $3.5mil with PP?

Update #24: Less than 30 Hours to go! Life and Death, and Audio CD Soundtrack!
Ask yourself the same thing. If killing by the millions rewards more, eventually everyone will go for that to reach the maximum. With the Sawyer's suggestion, every roleplay option is available.

Srsly, why is this so difficult to understand? The point is to not encourage a "kill everything" approach. XP given for every kill, on top of the zone/quest reward, does exactly that.

Damn Josh, you look very nerdy in this one. Can't wait for this to be subverted, or even better inverted in some way!

Large herbivores, please
Sure, they need not all be extremely difficult; a range would be ideal. But it'd be nice if there were some that were very tough. Although your party may have weapons and magic, the beast could have some form of magic as well, even if it's just a supernaturally tough skin. In our own world, I'm imagining an armoured warrior attacking a rhinoceros, and it seems like an ill-advised venture. If the people in the PE world can have exceptional abilities, it's only reasonable that some animals do too, and they needn't all be aggressive. Sidenote: I didn't know that lions would attack elephants. At least, fully grown ones. Gonna google it. Well, it might be cheetahs, I'm not sure. But I do remember a feline species hunting elephants in a documentary. You make a good point. But the same can be said about natural predators in PE. A rhino is definitely a hard target, an elephant isn't as much.

Large herbivores, please
Well, whales, dependant on the species, can eat anything. In fact they mostly eat fish. But I do like the idea of non attacking on sight large herbivores. Though I don't see why they should be "extremely difficult". Lions have a nice way of dealing with elephants, especially the little ones. I don't see them being hard for trained warriors, possibly with magic and firearms(however primitive).

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
Actually doubting things, has advanced humanity more. Imagine if Newton didn't doubt the teachings of the church. Star Wars FTL. Edit: If someone takes this post seriously and start a debate, they are a @#$#@ @#$#$%@!

New Gamebanshee interview with Josh.
This sounds a bit strange to me... Why would I lose Stamina from getting hit (and not from attacking)? I know it is just a mechanic, but it should at least make sense. Because if we take things literally, a successful hit from a sword should be lethal, damn near lethal, or at least very painful. On the other hand if it hits the shield, or can't penetrate the armour, it won't start a bleeding but the power behind it will still tire the body. Similarly the evasion will drain a bit of stamina. Extra points if it manages a scratch.

Hey don't just stop there, the plan might work. But I can't help, if I don't know it first.

The Obsidian Order of Eternity wants YOU! part 4
My biggest concern on the matter right now, is if we are going to get the second big city. If getting more members here achieves that, I'm gonna feel awesome!

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
Yep. Venice was a "merchant" republic as well, primarily focused on economic and trade growth. It would fit with the Vailian City States, almost to a T.

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
From what Feargus(?) said, it's either going to be on the coast or a Vailian city. And from what little we know Vailians are good merchants, so I'm expecting a huge cosmopolitan trade center.

Help me decide to back this project
What is the point? I understand that, when done wrong, inventories become busywork or tetris, and I don't think they should have weight/slots/realism "just because". Most games don't take the tactical side of inventories into consideration, and in this case it *is* an annoyance. Weight = lbs/kg/whatever. That's how I think it. I don't see inventory tetris or slots as weight. Read above, my problem is not the limit.

Aaahh, no, no, no. Considering every single RPG I've ever played has this, I don't get why you're complaining. Even the pen'n'paper games have a weight system for encumbrance. I don't know about PnP, but if every single cRPG you played has a weight system, then you played too few. Which either way, is not the point. BG, BG2, IWD, PS:T, NWN, NWN2, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: BOS, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect Series (though this didn't have weight, it had limited slots), Dragon Age... Also played KotoR and KotoR2, but don't remember if they have the weight system or not. Ok, slightly wrong on every RPG having the weight system, but 90% of them do. Even Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim has the weight system. Those are just the ones I've played. You count the IE games' system as equal to bethesdas'? Which is the one I'm worrying about..... DA had slots as well, not lbs. The KotORs and ME1 had no limit at all. My problem is not with the limit. The first fallouts(from which I played only the first) are the only ones with some logical weight system. Read the OP.

Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
I would go as far as saying it always happens, to what extent it may vary between 1 loss of the lowest tier on smaller projects to multiple $10K pledge losses because they were fakes. Well, I was trying ignore the possibility of fakes. I was more interested in the possibility of absent-mindedness on the matter.
-
Big City #2- 3.5mil. stretch goal
Does this happen often? I'm seriously asking. I mean, if someone pledges in the last "minute" it might be within logic's boundaries. But if you have an entire month, well, damn!

[Updated] Summary of the Q&A in the Kickstarter Comments page
So these guys are not necessarily companions? Good to know. This gives us a slim chance we won't have that monk with us.
