I'm not commenting on the politics of any particular discussion, but if you think a third party created an injustice, don't let them create another one by denying you the enjoyment of the game on top of it. Whatever politics abound, it's still a game, you own it, and it would be a shame if you let someone else deprive you of its use. I know tempers are running hot on this issue, but I just hope you reconsider and at least give the game a shot. Hell, even if you really love it, I'm not saying come back and praise the game. It was Obsidian, who decided, to pursue a policy of censorship and displayed themselves as anti-free speech. It feels wrong for me that my money has gone to a company, whose values, are entirely against my own. I am a strong proponent and believer in free speech and dislike censorship, which is a polar opposite to the values Obsidian displayed in this situation. It feels wrong for me to play a game, knowing that it was produced by a developer who does not believe in the right of free speech and easily caves in to special interests just to make a quick buck. You don't really know what the terms "free speech" and "censorship" mean, do you?

To help your confusion, the bug is that you can do all the quests for everyone and no one will invite you to the debate. This breaks the game. This sounds like a bug with the interface between the keyboard and the chair.

Ya, I am on the fence on how important con is for non-dedicated tank-ish characters, as in is the percentage bonus on top of a base important enough for the investment. I do have to admit that sometimes my melee cipher with 10 con has HP envy of Eder.

It is not that they are unsafe, it just that they are exclusive. Accepting the second quest from the faction locks out opposing faction max affection or whatever we are calling it.

Hawt. Thanks for all the input. My plan is to pick up a support chanter as soon as I can for machine gun song. Armor is always something I have a hard time with, I can't decide whether the DR is worth the extra reload time or not. Of course, if you are not getting hit, the question is easily answered, but I am not so proud as to not admit that everyone in my party gets hit at one point or another.

Hey all - Moving through my first play-through (on hard) with my cipher and having a great time (I found myself really getting into the disillusioned hard-bitten constable persona I conjured up for him), but I am thinking about my next sojourn as a Paladin focusing on guns, because I have a gun, and I am a travelin' (Also: https://youtu.be/To-wfwkmXds ). What are the thoughts on stats? Might, of course, but how important would int be for a build? Most of the damage would come from the flames, which are instant, but I am not sure about later paladin abilities. I know the reload is slow for fire arms, but does a high dex make enough difference to justify the investment? I am envisioning a coastal amaru for the extra weapon set. All input welcome.

I think you are on target with this. Ciphers target soul energy, and since it seems that undead are animated by fragments of soul energy, it makes in universe that their power have an effect of things like skeletons.

Well, I guess the bug is people had to read and pay attention. I am not sure how they could have made it more obvious. Of course, this could just be a trap for the dreaded degenerate game play. I mean, most everyone in this thread seem to be doing quests for the sake of doing questions. It is not like any reasonable conscious individual could not have deduced from the first meeting with the Dozen that there are other factions with opposed aims.

Playing on hard and higher difficulty without per encounter abilities and restricted camping supplies, wizard seems more like very underwhelming and it's a burden to the party. You will have to rest to refresh the abilities otherwise the wizard in battle is just totally useless to me. This is not the case for me. Aloth is very helpful on Hard, and he does the heavy lifting on large encounters (expose vulnerabilities is da bomb, or, really, it is the pre-da bomb which allows da bomb to be sufficiently da bomb-ific). I use my PC Cipher as a hunter-killer while Aloth keeps the majority of the mobs busy so the rest of the party can kill them.

I too am a huge fan of the music. As mush as I hate this word, it really is very "immersive" in a dark, high fantasy sort of way. There is one strain, however, that is reminiscent enough of some LoTR music that I keep waiting for it to resolve the same way.

I also was not a fan of the latest Bioware games. This kind of internalization, however, is psychologically unhealthy. The company is not out to get you personally. I like PoE much better than DAI (which I have not really played past the intro much). What this is, is a gesture of good will between friends and peers in an industry. I'm playing on Hard and have never had to backtrack yet. I got my camping supplies to zero once, I think, and that's because I forgot to stock up when passing by the inn, and while it got a little fiddly to get by until I found more, it was not frustratingly hard. I.e. if you feel like you need 20 camping supplies, I'm fairly confident you're not playing the game very well. Take a deep breath, read up on the mechanics, experiment a little, and it will come together. I agree (surprisingly!). In fact, I find myself leaving behind most camping supplies I find on Hard because I am capped. The only issue is Aloth is a lazy schmuck.

Did you steal anything? Luckily I quick-save like a fiend and was able to recover. The stealing icon is VERY easy to miss, your little icon hand turns red means YOU NO TOUCH!

You know u can create custom adventurers right? I have a party of 5 adventurers and managed to kill everyone in this area. Yes, but I was trying to play the game with the scripted companions and not bundles of numbers following me around ;-)

The thing I hate about Raedric's hold is going there with only 3 party members. Edit: While entertaining at first, I take it I am screwed and wasted a number of hours going through the castle since I can't hack the final battle?
