  1. Finished Dead Money, gonna start Old World Blues as soon as I wake up tomorrow. Big DLC, bigger than Dead Money or Honest Hearts so it's going to take longer to finish and I have an annoying impulse to always finish New Vegas DLC's within one day.
  2. New Vegas, just started Dead Money. One of my favorite add-on's thematically. Does the bit of dialogue where you say "I've never been to The Big Empty" change if you finish OWB before starting Dead Money? If so, that's kind of cool.
  3. And thus I stick happily with my copy of The Sims 2 and all of the packs that add worthwhile content. "Stuff" packs are the most blatant cash grabs EA has ever done. It's like they were sitting down one day and said "Hey, let's not only sell expansion packs for The Sims that are almost exactly like the expansions from the last one, let's also take a ton of pointless content and sell that separately, too!"
  4. Oh god yes, one of the best parts of Morrowind. It actually paid off to know the land yourself so that you could know where to go on new play throughs, where to get the best gear, what places to go to and when, etc.
  5. I'm surprised how depressing New Vegas can be, with all of it's delightfully nerdy humor. Lily is one of the most depressing characters I've ever seen in a game.
  6. I didn't liked most of Nehrim's quests. They were poorly done or stupid / the pacing was bad. The game world was good looking, though. But just the graphics didn't really saved the game for me. As a mod, it is quite good, though. Oh yeah, the quests so far are really boring and poorly done with only one solution and no real consequences for choice that does exist.
  7. New Vegas, and Nehrim: At Fate's Edge. Nehrim has awesome atmosphere, it feels like an old fantasy cRPG.
  8. I've always loved Old World Blues. Probably because I love Fallout 2's humor, and Old World Blues is like an entire add-on dedicated to the Fallout 2 style of humor. Oddly enough though, my favorite add-on writing wise is Dead Money. I just love the atmosphere and the story.
  9. Morrowind is one of the greatest wRPG's I have ever played. I feel like it's the one game where Bethesda just went crazy and put a ton of insane and interesting stuff in. A lot of Bethesda's other games, I can only enjoy with mods. But no mods can fix bad writing.
  10. I'm picking up Dishonored for christmas and then I'll play that for a while. Until then, mostly Harvest Moon and Persona. I forgot how addicting Harvest Moon is.
  11. Still playing Persona 4. I hate failing stat checks. Need to increase my Courage for two Social Links, and really need to increase Expression for two other Social Links, but I also need to beat the damn dungeon so I have more free time. It's parts like this where you really feel like the game is pressing you for time, too many damn things to do.
  12. Persona 4 has some really damn catchy music. (Now if only I could make out half of what they're saying.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzFl6sWHmXI S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl also has a really cool (And depressing) menu theme that I love. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7O6LasKHfM
  13. I am addicted to Persona 4. It's one of the only turn-based console RPG's where I have actually enjoyed the combat.
  14. Yeah, this patch is great. I might actually finish SS2 this time. Still need to beat Thief 1, though.
  15. Anybody here played the Chzo series? Pretty good series of freeware Adventure games made by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. I've played through 5 Days A Stranger, 7 Days A Skeptic, and Trilby's Notes, and I'm going to play 6 Days A Sacrifice in the morning. Aside from that, played some System Shock 2 co-op with my brother, and I might actually play through the Predator campaign of AvP2 some time. Still need to play more Planescape: Torment, and maybe I'll replay Deus Ex. I get really indecisive what games to play sometimes.
  16. Playing Aliens Versus Predator 2, might play AvP1 when I'm done.
  17. Wait, people listened to the guards when they told them not to go somewhere? In a game where you play as an assassin?
  18. I played through the current release of UNDERHELL!!! (It's an old Source mod that's still in progress.) While I didn't really find the story to be that amazing, it was still interesting so far. I really like the gameplay, too. Except for the optional dream sequences that you have to do to learn parts of the story, those parts tend to have annoying gimmicks. Aside from that, I installed Planescape: Torment and am interested in playing through that. Though, I think I'll play through KotOR or Mafia first. Also, on the topic of NWN, I played through the first chapter of NWN1 with my brother, it was good fun. I only played a little bit of NWN2, but what I did play, I enjoyed.
  19. All I've used GOG for is Ultima IV and Fallout, but I'm thankful for what they do.
  20. I prefer Obsidian's intros over most, honestly. The only Obsidian game I've played through entirely was New Vegas (I had KotOR 2, but never beat it. I'm going to wait until I beat KotOR1) but I liked the intro to that, it gave you some motivation to find this guy who shot you for your own personal reasons, and left you more choice for roleplaying background rather than giving you a set role like Fallout 3. Though, I agree with Krezack. I was in almost the exact same situation as him, once. Just because you dislike a game's intro, it doesn't mean the rest of the game will be bad.
  21. I recently beat Black Mesa myself. It was excellent, but did anybody else have a major issue at the end where the beam of the teleporter caused the game to run at horribly low FPS? I had to turn on God mode because it was too choppy for me to shoot anything even though my PC is more than capable of running the game. Anyway, I'm trying to get Gunman Chronicles to run on my PC, and maybe I'll play New Vegas again some time. I haven't played as the ol' Cyborg Desert Ranger wanderer guy in a while.
