I'm italian and I have not a clue of what "Ancenze" should mean IT: Credo che si riferisca al fatto che la pronuncia sarebbe qualcosa tipo Firenze (la mia città *_*) EN: I think he refers to the fact that the pronunciation would be like Firenze\Florence (my city *_*)

Totally agree. "Healing" should incorporate combat fervor and "will to go on" in a fight, not only injuries.

Paladins and Bards
Uomoz replied to AlphaShard's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
No religion Paladins and no instrument Bards. Looks fun! -
I like how Paladins are unrelated to religion. I think they'll stick to some strict moral code.

You are right. Sorry. If anyone was offended by my rage post, I apologize. It was just that I read the new update and was very dissapointed and then I came to the forum and saw lots of people just writing it off. "They do what they have to do to get more money", no they are not, they are making bad assumptions about their userbase. We don't want pets or tacked on levels to a dungeon, we just want a solid good game and even hard as it may, they should create good stretch goals which really get you excited about the game and want to have in. But perhaps it's just me who thinks like that . Also wasteland 2 at 165? Seems pretty weird choice to me. Most want the cheapest "get the game" pledge so a 35-40 would've been more appropriate even though I think most RPG fans has already pledged for that game. Stop using "we"?

Healing surge explain the reason why a seasoned warrior recover a lot more and faster then a squishy mage with the same healing potion, for example. A paladin with huge constitution is a lot better suited and trained at recovering from wounds compared to the aforementioned mage, and that's why the healing spell will have a complete diverse effect on the different body size. Is that sufficent as an explanation? The amount of healing you receive from various sources is related to your total HP pool, realistically. It's a CLEAR improvement from 3rd and 2nd editions systems. EDIT: As a DM I totally love make the squishy ranger finish his surges. Play with those 5 HP for an entire fight, Legolas.

Yeah but I had more headaches with bugs using those mods then the fun I got from it.

Btw, in EE they fixed a ton of bugs plus it uses BG2 engine (with all its cool spells and stuff), so it's worth those dollars.

Monte, romance hatred was old like 6 months ago! You need to update the hatred repertoire.

You both hate 4th E. D&d as well! Love is sprouting..

Well I'm in the beta for D&d 5th and I can tell that it looks like the 3rd with some unique powers attached to each class. Casters have more stuff then any other class, they retain the at-will powers like in 4th (plus daily stuff like vancian for everything else). Auto-attack turns for fighters, here we go again. Too much semplification.

Pure isometric with possibility of zoom in maintaining the camera position (maybe?) like in BGEE.

I think powerful magic will require resource management in various form (long CD inside combat and rest for the class-defining powerful stuff). The new idea is to let magic have some form of basic attack (like magic missiles) that is always available, like it is in D&d 4th. EDIT: the idea of at-will \ encounter\ daily IS half-baked and not realistic. Yet this form is still way better then the old vancian imho. I think the idea is good and with Obsidian-quality refinement could translate in an amazing chess-like-oldstyle combat experience.

BG1. It may seems like filler content (empty areas anyone), but the exploration feeling of BG1 was damn good.
