  1. Microsoft Store pre-order is up: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/the-outer-worlds/9mwd2z8l1fbq
  2. Here's a new thing in Epic exclusivity. The famous indie studio Klei Entertainment are going to release the alpha of their upcoming game Griftlands exclusively on the Epic Games Store. But everybody who buys it there will get a free Steam key for the Steam Early Access release next year. https://steamcommunity.com/games/601840/announcements/detail/1610514097397241772 Come on, Private Division, you can do this.
  3. No PC preorders available yet, but there are four stores listed: Epic, GameStop, Microsoft and interestingly, an option to buy the game directly from Private Division. Come on Private Division, how about a complimentary Steam key for people who preorder directly from you, to be distributed one year after the game is released? You want some good PR, this is how you get it.
  4. We've known what it is for months. In fact, I'm pretty sure the forum appeared after we already knew what it was, so that description never made sense.
  5. Unsurprisingly. https://www.fool.com/earnings/call-transcripts/2019/05/13/take-two-interactive-software-inc-ttwo-q4-2019-ear.aspx Also, apparently it's expected to make more money than WWE 2K!

  7. Pffft. The vain indie hipsters are going to end up getting screwed either way. They think if they're on a fresh new platform it'll be just like Steam back in 2012 again. Fat chance.
  8. Now Borderlands 3 is an Epic-exclusive, but only for six months instead of a full year. That would have been nice to have for The Outer Worlds too, PD.
  9. Eh, I don't think there's anything here that can't be addressed before the end of the year. Voice acting, polish, they've got time for that. It's only March, it's not like the game is coming out in two months.
  10. The games are not designed to be played this way and it will always look janky. Lead with your writing and quests (ie what you're supposed to be good at ). This isn't rocket science.
  11. It might be a developer option. Deliverables from a Scrum Sprint: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrum_Sprint

  14. No, people who pre-order Anno 1800 on Steam are getting it on release day. It's actually a better deal than what I suggested earlier (which was giving people Steam keys that don't activate until a year after release). The Outer Worlds was in the top 3 most wishlisted games on Steam. Private Division could totally have demanded something like this from Epic and gotten it.
  15. Yeah, and The Outer Worlds is going to be on the Microsoft Store. Doesn't change my argument. If you're mad about not being able to get this game on Steam, you should try applying pressure on Obsidian, Microsoft and Private Division to demand the same deal Ubisoft got.
  16. Yeah, it's not like Paradox aren't already selling Bloodlines 2 pre-orders a full year before the game releases. If Private Division had done the same thing with The Outer Worlds, a bunch of us would have already owned the game on Steam and could have avoided this. The Epic Games Store - making pre-orders great again.
