  1. You spelled 'Craptivision' wrong.
  2. I am a little surprised, I expected Germany and Argentina to dominate but that is the beauty of football, every game can be unpredictable. Btw, congrats to Croatia! It's starting to look like 1998 all over again.
  3. I'd buy new games but I already have some 550 games on steam. Not buying games on Steam for now.
  4. @SonicMage @Bartimaus I totally agree and that is the main reason why I always loathe gamenets. I can recomment Red Orchestra 2. Even if you accidentally kill a team mate, they always keep cool. Actually, killing a friendly or getting killed by one is pretty common in that game because you know...war is hell! And now I'm tempted to reinstall Red Orchestra 2, hope the playerbase is still the same.
  5. Oh yes, that one thing was annoying as hell and it will be there for at least 2/3 of the game. Can't argue there.
  6. It's ok. Felt too short to me and I didn't liked the end, which is somewhat like a cliff hanger. Gunplay / enemy variety is a bit meh as well. Personally I liked the first and the old blood a lot more. Pretty sure it is longer than The Old Blood. Gunplay hasn't changed and the weapon variety along with the upgrades give the game some replay value. There ain't much variety in enemies though. My only real gripe with game is the season pass which costs a lot and adds only a total of 6 hours of gameplay while using levels and assets from the vanilla game. A total rip-off.
  7. On the subject of graphics: Planescape:Torment will always be a winner, and I am not even talking about the enhanced edition. The original which appeared on gog back in 2009(or was it 2010?) still has top notch graphics with a few tweaks here and there. That must have been the best 10 euros I've ever spent in my entire life. Also, if you happen to have a OG PS Vita(the ones with the OLED screen) give your favorite PSone games another chance. They look wonderful on the tiny OLED screen. Playing Silent Hill 1 on the PS Vita made me feel young again.
  8. The first game that introduced me to this concept was Rogue Spear. Enemies would die with a single shot to the head or 2 shots to the chest, but so would you.
  9. Butbutbut...there are still a whole lot of bad things to talks about, see: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-06-20-two-and-a-half-years-later-street-fighter-5-gets-loot-boxes
  10. Yeah, I'd say games that are released no sooner than 2005 or so.
  11. Added 'Modern Firearms(Tactical Edition)' mod and it equips raiders with a range of modern machine guns and assault rifles which are much stronger than the base weapons in Fallout 4. As a result, the raiders can usually kill me with 2-3 shots if they spot me. It makes the game quite immersive actually.
  12. Wolfenstein II is getting better and better the more I play it. Dear Machine Games, never change.
  13. With the first Mega Man you might be right, that was still a little rough around the edges but Mega Man 2? That was one of the best games ever back then, and it still is. I bought the Mega Man Legacy Collection a while ago which has Mega Man 1-6. I'll give 2 another go someday. Maybe I'll like it this time around but as far as memory serves, I remember a lot of trial and error in thosr games which simply requires you to memorize the level layout and the enemy movements.
  14. We lost but I am proud of our team. They played great football.
  15. True.
  16. Beyranvand is easily one of the best goal keepers in this World Cup. Edit: good lord, Ansari almost scored!
  17. The remake has refined controls, maybe that's why they decided to make the Resi remake a tad harder than the original. I wonder if the devs would have gone for a over the shoulder cam back in the 90's if they had the tech we have today. As for Mafia, the weapons have way too much kick. I didn't mind the realism at all, the driving was fun and it actually felt as if you are really driving a car, it created a sense of responsibility that felt rewarding. The shooting sections were not the same though. Recently the game reappeared on Steam so I might buy it and give it a whirl one of these days, the last time I finished the game was back in 2008.
  18. Fine, you lazy descendants of monkeys! I'll do it myself. Following the discussion at the E3 2018 thread, which games do you think have aged well and which ones haven't? The ones that have aged well in my opinion: -every single Legend of Zelda games except for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, never liked that one. -Fallout 1,2, Tactics -C & C: Red Alert 1,2 <-aged well?! Pfft, I wish a single developer out there would have the guts to create something similar... -Lucas Arts Adventure games...you know, back then when Telltale hadn't taken a huge dump on adventure games yet with their so called 'choice driven adventure games!' -classic DOOM, Quake 1 & 2, Wolfenstein 3D(boy did I have fun replaying this on the PS3, had to collect every single Trophy!), Hexen 1& 2, Heretic 1(Yes, there was a Heretic II but nobody liked it ) -pretty much every Mario Kart and Mario platformer game ever released -Final Fight, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, TMNT: Turtles in Time, TMNT The Arcade Game and many other awesome beat em up games that I miss a lot -Street Fighter II: Turbo, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat I, II, III now let's get to the ugly ones... -Syndicate to me it felt like a real drag, don't know if you can mod the game to play any better but I tried it recently and couldn't get into it at all -Mafia...the shooting mechanics are simply...horrid! - Mega Man 1-6...it's just way too hard for me and there is simply nothing else there for me to appreciate. - Resident Evil 1, 2, 3...Nocturne...Dino Crisis and a whole lot of other survival horror games from the 90's because no matter how awesome those games were, the controls(combined with the fixed camera angles) are simply bad, don't know how we got around to playing them back then but nowadays I always choose the Easy difficulty setting. -OG Street Fighter II....once me and my brother played Turbo we couldn't go back to the classic, because it was soooooooo slllooooowwww -Assassin's Creed games...I think this one needs no explanation at all, funny thing is that it isn't a 'classic' game buy any means. ...and in case someone has a different opinion:
  19. Fallout 4 on the Xbone X in 4K, with mods: :3
  20. True. Downloaded the wrong mod and had to delete all of the other mods because the game would suddenly freeze. Now I am downloading the mods again and hoping that one of them won't crash the game. It is clear that consoles were not meant for modding. I need a new shiny PC but I am broke as hell for now. Maybe in a year or so...
  21. Fallout 4 is available on Xbox Game Pass so I'm playing that with mods. Looks a wee bit better on the 1X compared to the PS4 version. It's a bit of a bummer that mods disable achievements/trophies. It's still fun to try out mods though, the PS4 version doesn't really allow external assets so the mods are pretty limited there. I wonder if I'll ever build myself another PC. :/
  22. Ah, it's cool. I love these boards because people know how to respect one another. The thread didn't got derailed actually, the e3 simply came to an end and people started talking about games and how they have aged. Pretty interesting topic actually. A while ago Lexx was recalling how a few of the quests in the original Fallout where actually nothing more than 'go to place A and kill B'. There are couple of things to consider here IMO: -those ideas where fresh back then(probably) -they were done with style -nostalgia is a weird thing -it isn't about how games have aged but how much fun we had with a certain game at a certain point in time. -some games 'age well' because they have gameplay mechanics that are simple and fun, but also hard to master. Doom and Quake are good examples, I could still play them and have huge amounts of fun. Pssst, someone should make a 'Which games have aged well in your opinion?' thread.
  23. And I shall give you dominion over every creeping thing that creepeth, and every thinging thing that thingeth.
  24. Question: Why does every goddamn team have a player that tries to look like Messi?!
  25. Oh no, is that even allowed where you live? :> Kinda curious, actually. No, the Iranian TV wouldn't show a movie like that. I watched it on teh interwebz!
