Obligatory "How good is this rig/hardware?" thread

Thanks for the info! Yeah, it seems the 7850 is quite sufficent for the next 1-2 years. I might go for it. -
Obligatory "How good is this rig/hardware?" thread

It is a price thing actually. I am not sure if it's a good idea to spend too much money on a GPU right now. Also, I am open to suggestions. Haven't had decent rig for years and as you have already noticed, I am quite the n00b. They didn't have any 1GB versions of the cards because again, where I live, people happen to be stupid enough to measure graphics cards by their memory. Moar GB = Moar Power!!! -
So I have to decide between 3 GPUs: AMD Radeon 7750 2 GB AMD Radeon 7770 2 GB nvidia 560 ti 2 GB The first two are quite cheaper compared to the nvidia card but the nvidia card is slightly stronger. So what do you guys suggest? Also, keep in mind that where I live(don't ask where), the 560 GPU costs almost as double as the 7750.

I always wanted to play the first Mass Effect on the ps3 because that's the platform I usually play most of my games on. Also, the first Mass Effect game was the most enjoyable in my opinion.

I played it for about 4 or 5 hours and then I gave up. The game was actually pretty decent. Good characters and dialogues, interesting story and setting. It also captures the tone and mood of the series perfectly. With all that said, I must say that the games combat is pretty boring and simple. It is worth playing if you're looking for some sort of Game of Thrones fix, other than that you might just wanna skip it.

Played some more Dishonored. This game is constantly impressing me with awesome level design and beautiful art direction. Definitly GotY material. Still have to play Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3 and XCOM until I can decide, but I doubt I will like any of them better than Dishonored.

Dishonored. Just finished the tutorial and believe it or not, I'm already sucked in!

I started a new game in Fallout: New Vegas and during the tutorial, that dumb dog chayanne jumped into my line of fire and was dropped like a fly...with one shot *smug* I collected his hide meat after a few seconds of whatthe****justhappened. Wasteland ain't **** you know, you gotta survive! The owner(forgot her name) was pretty pissed though, kept saying: "dammit chayanne, I told you to stay!"

word. love the crap out of their games too. can't wait.

GTA IV had a good story but Red Dead Redemption was alot better in my opinion. But each to his own I guess.

@ Gorth Hmmmm, weird! this is how mine looks like, using the windowed version:

Man, the N64 version of Forsaken had an awesome Soundtrack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=relI1rEyCP4 The game had an entirely different soundtrack and set of levels from that of the PSone and PC versions.

Two Worlds 2 The gameplay and the combat mechanics are far from good but the world is really fun to explore and some of the bizzare characters you meet along the way are quite hilarious and the voice acting is so bad that it's good! The Crafting system is also pretty neat. You break down any weapon you don't need and use the parts to upgrade your weapon of choice.

The Darkness had an awesome soundtrack(Gustaf Grefberg): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9EquofPtRQ also... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KCGvmCmhG8

I kickstarter page seems to have a release date too! It says Feb 2013.

Same here, had alot of fun with Carmageddon 2 back then, but I was forced to play the european censored version...civilians were replaced ....by aliens...with green blood...I'll make sure that doesn't happen this time around! But man, Kickstarter is truly like a gift to the gaming community.

One of the guys on my PSN friends list is playing Dishonored! *jealousy*

True. You can make Planescape Torment look better than most "next gen" games out there with these mods and if you sit in front of the tv at a normal distance, it's almost impossible to spot a pixel: http://thunderpeel20...lly-modded.html

I've gathered enough money to buy a proper PC. Not top of the line, but still capable of running most games at high settings for the next two years. Not that I care really, the first thing I'm gonna do is hook it up to my 42 inch tv and play the crap out of Fallout 1 and Planescape Torment. They both look amazing on the tv with a few mods installed.
