  1. Um, lets..? And what are you expecting to happen exactly? That when a big kickstarter project fails, companies will stop targeting kids and will start making smart rpgs for adults? Are you sober?
  2. Crysis and Mass Effect core audience:
  3. Let me put my pft in this conversation. Nobody else is gonna try? WHATEVER. Kickstarter.
  4. Extremely bad support of square monitors. I had to play in window mode of 1280*720 instead. Really really bad.
  5. From 1:10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnSByCb8lqY&feature=player_detailpage#t=70s
  6. So if I understand correctly, BG:enchanced doesn't encompass BG2, just the first game with addons? It's disappointing isn't it. BG2 is much more popular, the engine is more advanced, they should've ported the first game to the second engine before reworking the game. Bah! OH SHI~! THE GROUND IS BLURRY! THEY MADE IT LOOK LIKE ANOTHER GAME FOR PS3!
  7. Is it as grating as Vindictus or can you actually play without socializing? I can't say, I played it till level 10 and then lost all interest as usual, it became too repetitive. Don't play it.
  8. The skills are the same, even though they've got different names and icons. The way they are cast is basically the same. Unlike other MMos where you know what your opponent is casting, in GW2 you've got no idea. And it doesn't matter much, because the spells do the same thing, the damage moderately and that's it. The only thing changing is the area of effect and the duration of the spell. I can't tell the difference otherwise. They're all the same. You know how in WoW you could tell what spec the mage has, you knew exactly how to kill him, you knew what he was gonna do and what he was gonna cast and in what order? You know how many escapes he's got, you knew what to do with him depending on your class. It doesn't exist in here. In here, water spec heals you a bit. Other specs (fire, ground, something else) damage. Difference? None. Does the way you move change anything? No. How many escapes he's got? Doesn't matter, there are no stunning abilities and no nuking abilities, only moderately damaging abilities. If they expected to make this game PVP-oriented, they have failed oh so much. No professional PVP can be made in this game. Maaaaaybe strategic PVP. That's a big maybe. PVE? Maddeningly boring. Rift-like or wow-like pve. SWTOR and Secret World at least offer some PVE that looks like a single player game. That's SOMETHING. There's none of it here. Player interaction? No, everyone is self-sufficient. New mechanisms? Nope. I could come up with 20 revolutionary game mechanics for MMOs, I don't even have to be a genius. I just open ADOM or MUDs and play them half an hour, then take amazing ideas that people used to come up with when there was no graphics. Nowadays, it's just about making FX with a lot of lights/flickering and sluggish controls, and nothing else is required. You've got yourself a game, you sell it, make money, you're happy, because all you cared about in the first place was money. I'd say that this game has no soul, but it's much more than that. Warhammer was bad. SWTOR was worse. Now Secret World is worse, too. And now we've got GW2 even worse than all previous MMOs. First they made pop music bad after the 80s, then made movies bad after the 90s, then single player games after around 2003, now they've ruined MMOs and make them worse and worse every year. And all this is partly because of people like you who've got no taste and will swallow anything, they're the core audience and they bring in all the money. Until you keep saying it's good, nothing is gonna get better. Don't ****ing play it.
  9. C9 came out a few days ago in English, characters are hot, combat is entertaining. Free to play.
  10. I was gonna buy Fallout New Vegas in a few days, but after watching these videos, no thanks! I'm gonna tell all my friends not to buy either. Bweh! The guy's "reportage" is very helpful.
  11. OH SORRY! 9 faces, all of them bad. Brows, lips, etc don't change anything, the difference is only slight, and changing the defaults to anything makes the face even uglier. I can't relate to any face in any race they've got. It's not that I'm a homophobe, but none of them are even slightly manly and I can't play gay characters, I don't relate to them. And to prove my words, the first Sylvari quest is about a gay couple (both males) being in trouble. I'm sorry, I'm just not into this gay thing. HEY, I'M GW2, YOU WANNA PLAY A NEW AMAZING RACE OF TREE PEOPLE? HERE, THAT'S GONNA BE YOUR AVATAR! or maybe you used to play gnomes in other MMOs? COOL! We've got that too!
  12. If you enjoyed 1 face per race in the first gw, you'll like gw2's character creation process as well.
  13. A game can blow though. That counts. Games rape me all the time as of late.
  14. Cool story. The Baltic Medal was a campaign medal approved in 1856, for issue to officers and men of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, and Royal Sappers and Miners who served in Baltic Sea operations against Russia in the Baltic theatre of the Crimean War. And there was no such thing as Baltic medal in USSR. Like I said, cool story. And a nice hot tagline too. "THE MOST DANGEROUS SEA-ROUTE IN HISTORY". When does the trailer come out??
  15. Amazing. They got the numbers almost right, which is a rare sight. They showed the person who really won the war and deserves all the merit. I'm very impressed indeed.
  16. If only I could unfund Wasteland and fund this instead. Cruel fate...
  17. Compare this 10 page pdf of recycled info to Torment's visiondoc.
  18. Visiondoc: no new info whatsoever.
  19. Sure I can. Make Ned king and **** Lannisters up. That should do it. While certain things happen, others don't. Paradox needs to hire historical phds and stop relying on history school teachers. Found 2 major historical errors just yesterday and I'm not even a historian.
  20. By the Old Gods and New, apparently there's a total conversion mod for Crusader Kings 2 that converts the game to a Game of Thrones - the territory becomes Westeros and tons of other conversions. You start 15 years before the first book..... I'LL SAVE YOU NED!!!!!!
  21. Forget Civ, get Europa Universalis 3 with all add-ons and play it till you're dead cause nobody's ever gonna make a better grand strategy. Be man enough to follow your dreams in the best game in the universe. That's what I'm doing.
  22. Press X to view the next cinematic sequence. Press Y to kill enemy. Press XY to jump over that chasm. That's what the trailer said, basically. In a subtle way.
  23. They said that about Witcher, so you know to what extent. To no extent, really.
  24. Yeah, and the reason I always read original versions is that the translations suck. That's cause everyone outsources everything nowadays. The Americans make a film. Want it translated into Suomi. They hire a Finish company, who then hires a translator who just finished university and has no experience for example. The guy translates as good as he can, but whenever there's some dialect, he just translates by guessing, so already some of the meaning is lost. Then he gives it to the editor, who only corrects typos etc, they correct no stylistic/language mistakes and they certainly don't adapt the translation, so it sounds weird and there are phrases that are literally translated like "we can do it!" which make no sense in your language for example. Then the text is given to the actor, who voices it, and the actor sometimes takes liberties, but most importantly, knows absolutely nothing of the context, so the intonations are all wrong. Then the recording is given to the sound editor, who cuts sequences that are too long for certain scenes, because in the original it sounded shorter, so whole sentences get cut out sometimes. So after all this, you get an absolutely totally ****ty translation that makes no sense and translates only the general ideas, there's no wittiness, no humor, etc. Total fail. But that's how they do it in the film industry, true story. Now if the Poles want it translated right, they just need to manage the process themselves, end of story. It's not that difficult.
