"ever think about how bad we had to **** up to create a world where robots taking all the jobs is somehow a bad thing?"

On deeply flawed studies, to boot!

Well this certainly shows how far we've come.

Why Political Correctness (Cultural Marxism) Must End!
aluminiumtrioxid replied to Valsuelm's topic in Way Off-Topic
Well, maybe look harder then. The common element is their longing for a return to a past they see as better, characterized by blind discipline, nationalism (with or without racialist tints), little tolerance for deviation from the social norms, political authoritarianism in diverse forms, etc. It's important to note that this representation of the past may or may not be accurate, but accuracy is less important than the feels from romantizicing the past. In short: reactionarism. The necessary and sufficient condition to be considered part of the alt-right. Conservatism in general is like that. You want to preserve a past that possibly didn't even existed to begin with. Preserving something that has never existed sounds like an oxymoron to me.- 164 replies

But the real question on everyone's minds here is, I think: ...can you execute her in a sufficiently painful and messy way for her insolence?

Overall writing seems to be better than in Pillars. And the world is more interesting. But no, if Pillars of Eternity was written by whiny emo/goth kid who wants to be dark, so is Tyranny. (This just proves you didn't spend a lot of time reading stuff that emo/goth kids actually write.) Yeah, stuff like Age of Decadence! *ducks*

I was the best in my class for your information. must've been some class

The bible has some screwy stuff in it; might be best if they don't read it. Come on, the Old Testament is a fantastic guide to living. After all, what would we do without Strong Family Values? Surely everything would descend into gibbering chaos as the last light of virtue and beauty gets extinguished by the nihilist and decadent intelligentsia as they reshape the world to mirror the emptiness that is within their hearts I don't see how that's a bad thing. bu-bu-but western culture and civilization fades away and surely nothing worthwhile could possibly follow it because it's rooted in the deepest truths of the human experience

Well, that picture depicts hell and sin, so i would say that it is quite accurate. > the picture depicts hell > accurate pick one Hell is usually depicted across cultures either as a place of chaotic punishment or as a stage of society being controlled by its vices. I would say that the picture displays that quite accurately. Lucky thing art is subjective, because I ain't seeing either on this one.

Where on the political spectrum are you?

Yupp, so strong he barely got any votes wait that's totally not what happened. Well, the pressure is only good for shaming in social groups and influencing weak willed people. But in the voting booth you're free to give them all the middle finger. Which is what happened. Its not illogical that there really was pressure and that it also backfired. Those can go hand in hand. Sure, but Chilloutman probably wasn't talking about "your social circle thinks ill of you" levels of 'persecution', and I strongly question that anything beyond that exists outside of the heads of the paranoid.

It's such pathetic demonisation and conspiracy theory crafting that makes me laugh, when Brexit results were announced and now, the desperate need to blame voters who don't align with their own smug elitist positions is always absolutely hilarious. One wonders how such people deal with the real world where not everyone echoes their inane tweeting. Well there are few bits of thruth in those tweets, for example that some people now must hide their political views for fear of being persecuted An irrational fear of imaginary feminist bogeymen coming to take away your rights is not something I'd use the word "must" for.

Kyros is actually competent tho.

It's a fantastic idea... for a post-scarcity society. You may have noticed we're not living in one. -

Economic Left/Right: -6.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.69 a score worthy of a true FREEDOM HATIN' SJW NAZI -
Which is, of course, a completely different outcome from people rationalizing their heinous acts towards those who do not share their faith (or worship the same deity the wrong way) with "who cares, they were heretics anyway".

So you are suggesting that because the black people within that town of mine do not have to hear the N-word, they're infinitely better off? I'm suggesting that while racial profiling and provoking people into fights are pretty disgusting, at least they're not getting lynched. Progress! So apparently the forum software at my post and I'm too lazy to type that wall of text up again. TLDR: people aren't purposefully censoring racist speech as an end unto itself, they're censoring racist sentiment, of which racist speech is a symptom. Creating an atmosphere where bigotry is frowned upon and yet does not censor itself is only possible if you're unwilling to sanction bigotry in all but its most egregious forms, otherwise bigots will wisen up to the fact that open bigotry gets them punished and learn to hide it.
-
Your naivete is adorable, but I don't think it works that way. We all know how nice it was to be a black person at the time when the expressed sentiments were mainstream.

You see no inconsistency between going from whining endlessly about how "the ebul feminists want to curb ARTISTIC FREEDOM to draw boobies in video games and call us bad names because we like boobs" to whining endlessly about "the ebul politicians talk about consuming ART THAT I DON'T LIKE in private emails and are therefore probably child sex traffickers or something"? "I masterfully baited you to call out my misogyny by behaving in a misogynistic manner! Look at me, such a masterful manipulator I am", he yelled happily.
