  1. Awesome! I'll definitely check that out once I'm done with/get stuck at The Endless Paths.
  2. Glad to hear that the "RH fix" isn't necessarily just for RH. I've seen people having this problem at different places and different times (I have it right at the transition to Act 3, while a friend seemed to have it at Brighthollow), and I was kinda worried that the fix for the RH instance wasn't going to solve the overarching problem. But since I take your comment as that not being the case, hopefully it fixes it for everyone.
  3. While I agree having several open threads on the same topic is unnessecary, I think it's worth noting (as this thread does) that the problem isn't only in Raedric's Hold. It seems like more people are having trouble there, but it's an issue at several locations. I had no problems whatsoever in RH, but now can't progress to Act 3 because of the same bug. Why would a Chanter matter? Removing my Chanter did absolutely nothing for me.
  4. I have the same issue, at the start of Act 3. Just after the little "act intro" with the rolling text I get a loading screen (no problems there, as far as I can see), and then just a black screen with a cursor. It's really annoying, especially since I'm more or less done with the available side quests and therefor don't really have anything to do while waiting for a solution. :/
  5. I've had it both show up and not show up. I think it's shown up twice and gone missing two or three times; I also have a couple of rewards that I haven't been back to check on yet. I don't think the rewards are especially exciting so I don't really care whether they show up or not, but obviously they should.
  6. Yeah, same here. I get the Act 3 rolling text thingy, a load screen, and then just a black screen with a cursor. Can't do anything; if I click, the game crashes. Since I don't really have any side missions left to do except a bunch of way-to-hard-right-now levels of the Endless Dungeon, I'm kinda stumped as to what to do while it gets sorted out. :/ Save game and stuff: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/db89hcvqwnnxk45/AABsDJPwWxgQ-Wb6rOF2UOW7a?dl=0
  7. Have you tried quitting and loading the last save since you disabled the hints? Also: I think there are different tooltips (combats and general) that you can disable. "Show in-game tutorials" is the one I disabled, and since then I haven't had any problems. Hope it helps!
  8. Haha, I see we all found the same solution at roughly the same time. I've only played for perhaps 15 minutes after turning off the hints, but yeah, it seems to be working. Good thing I've played the old Infinity Engine games and am familiar with most of the hints being offered. But at least it's a solution.
  9. I saw this on Incgamers: "I’ve not had this one myself, but by the sounds of things it’s some kind of audio glitch relating to the tutorial hint pop-ups that you get in the game’s first area. If you keep hearing journal page noises where they shouldn’t be playing, try this. Go to the ‘Game’ section of the options menu, find ‘Show In-Game Tutorials,’ and toggle that off. Going by what other people have said, this should fix the problem. Of course this means you won’t get any more tutorial pop-up hints, but it’s mostly stuff like “hey, did you know there’s a Scouting Mode that lets you sneak” and similar things. You can hopefully get by without them. It’s better than listening to endless journal page turning noises, anyway." I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like the problem we're having. http://www.incgamers.com/2015/03/pillars-of-eternity-journal-sound-bug-fix
  10. I don't know if this helps identify where the problem lies, but I played around with the sound options when it came back. It's not a music or voice problem, but when I turned down the Effects slider it disappeared.
  11. Here are my specs: HD500GB Samsung SP SATA2* 7200RPM Spinpoint CPU Core i5 2500K PSU Corsair TX 650W V2 /80+ Bronze Windows®7 Home Swe 64-bit Single OEI, SP1 MK Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3 Socket 1155, P67, ATX Corsair 8GB (KIT) DDR3 1333MHz/CL9/1.5V MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming If you need anything more than those, let me know and I'll do my best to provide them.
  12. I don't know exactly what items you are referring to, but there are some (like the collector's book, documentary etc) that you don't get at GOG but instead find here. If those are the kinds of items you are missing, check the My Products section and you should find them.
  13. Yeah, I also have this problem. I've tried both restarting it from the meny and from desktop, but it always comes back after a while. It's really annoying.
  14. Multiple. I've followed Black Isle and Obsidian for almost as long as I've played games and with the exception of Dark Alliance 2 I think I've played every games they've ever released. I'm a massive BIS/Obsidian fanboy and just the thought of them making a game made me throw money their way. That said, anything even remotely connected to Planescape: Torment gets my absolute attention. I think NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer is one of the best RPGs since the Infinity Engine era and I loved KOTOR2's take on Star Wars, but no game has ever captured me just like PS:T did. *edit* Ah, who am I kidding? Yeah, I like Obsidian and pretty much all of their games in general, but it'll always be PS:T. Vote changed.
