  1. Gawk. How the hell do I get out of Denerim? I'm on the What have I done wrong?? I can't even get to the Bio Dragon Age forums. I have no idea what's going on.
  2. They appear in non-tactical as well, so long as combat is going on. They disappeared in the middle of battle, and I was lost!! I exited the game and re-started, still no joy. So I started asking the question to which apparently there is no answer. The second time I re-started the game, the circles were back! Yay! For now... Mods, okay to lock this I guess. It must just be the ghost of BG2 haunting me.
  3. The colored targeting circles that distinguish ally from party member from foe have suddenly gone off in the midst of battle. I've checked all the game Options and Game Controls, and can find no place where these can be turned on/off by a keystroke. Can someone please help me? Can't find a thing on this problem in the manual. Mods... if someone answers my question, please lock. Otherwise, can you give me a little leeway here?
  4. There should be a book somewhere in Denerim IIRC. Check the merchants. Will do! I just hope I can afford it. Thanks. Well you can always save, buy the book (selling everything you own if you need extra cash), learn it, then reload and have the specialisation open. Yes, it's sort of cheating, but cheating the the same way that overclocking is stealing. Woot! I did not know that. Hell yes, I'll cheat. I'm not proud.

  6. Well, I'm playing a human rogue. Yes, she is gimped, but I'm still having fun with her. She's a backstabber, not a bow gal, so I want the Assassin specialization... but when I finally am "old" enough to choose a specialization, I find they are all locked. I know that ... But is there any other way for me to unlock the Assassination specialization? I'm currently wandering the Fade, and when I finally get out I'd really like those Assassin bonuses.
  7. I've gotten permission from Greagoir to enter the Circle Tower, but I can't enter it. Something is totally FUBAR'd. Does anyone know what might be wrong here?
  8. Phew. Okay, thanks to everyone's help in here I am now a member of BioWare Social with a registered copy of Dragon Age and the Stone guy DLC. I also wanted Warden's Keep, so I bought a few Bio points. However, it tells me to refresh my wallet. Well, damn. Where the hell IS this point wallet, how do I find it and how do I refresh it. I swear, I spent two hours on this game this morning, and I haven't even started the danged thing. If anyone can help me (yes, I guess I'm forum illiterate), I'd really appreciate it!
  9. Thank you.
  10. Actually, I haven't even tried playing the game yet. I usually get all the bureaucratic stuff done first. Is there a place in-game to register? If so, thank you so very much for the info!
  11. What "social site"? Where the hell is it?
  12. But it has to be registered at BioWare? Dragon Age isn't even listed as one of the registration options on my account...
  13. I just installed my copy and went to my BioWare account to register it... and there's no way to do it. Can I get the free DLC without registering it? The BioWAre forums are completely bogged... I have to wait for an eternity for the pages to even come up.
  14. Gawk. I was really planning to play a rogue my first time through... but it sounds as if they are useless. Has anyone had success playing a rogue PC yet? If so, any tips or tricks?
  15. I like ME a lot as well! I have a lot of fun with it. I usually play a female soldier, but when I played a male I went the Sentinal route and took Ashley instead of Kaidan. Wow, did I have a blast with that. Sentinal rocks!
  16. Priceless!
  17. This. We've done that for years. We use one card for groceries, one for gas/auto maintenance, another for on-line purchases, that kind of thing. We pay them in full every month. At the end of the year, we have handy totals for each of our major spending items, and our credit score is through the roof. In the USA, if you give up your credit card accounts your credit score, strangely, takes a hit. Weird but true, I'm told. Also, our credit limits have raised repeatedly to the point that we could charge a medium-ranged new car on one of them! Every once in a while a card will tell us what good customers we are and up the limit. I think they're trying to tempt us into buying something we can't pay off all at once!
  18. I'm replaying Gothic 3, because I love the danged thing. I never got the Night of the Raven expansion for Gothic 2, which I also loved. Sounds like I should have gotten it.
  19. Yes, in JA2 some fights could last for 1-2 real-time hours... BUT you could save at any time during the battles. That way, if the unthinkable happened you didn't have to start the entire battle over again. You just had to restart from your last save point. Which in my case, was probably just a few minutes. I didn't allow my people to die, lol, and I'm too lazy to spend up to 6 hours replaying one lousy battle! In the Bio games, IIRC, you cannot save during combat so if you blow a big battle, you're starting it over... and probably with an annoying 20 minute cutscene that you cannot skip.
  20. That is the most adorable smiling spider I've ever seen!
  21. Whoa! That's just freaky.
  22. Thank you for this post, particularly the portion I bolded.
  23. Once again, thread hijacking has ensued. Carry on.
  24. Well, I'll be damned. He came through... today no less! Good for him. I'm just a bit concerned about the part where he will do it "at the right time." I'd say now was the right time.
