  1. Seriously, some of you guys sound like you rather be playing the newest shoot em up: Superman in a Tank vs. blind farmers with dull pitch forks.
  2. Lets give the player an AT-ST to go throught the game with!!! That would be sweeeeet! Screw balance, I want to kill stuff! really? In the prequels the jedi sure seemed to be able to go through a bunch of droids without being winded.
  3. While I'm not sure I agree with a broad view of this statement, I know I disagree that combat should be easy, to the point that it's a joke. If there is no challenge, then there is no fun, then the game gets tedious. Now I'm not saying you should be pushed to the breaking point every fight, but there is a balance there. Your not talking about avoiding battles. I can see that being a good option for someone who wants to be a peaceful jedi type guy. You want to have super easy battles, and I can't see how that helps anything besides canon.
  4. lol, easier said than done, but i may have too
  5. I don't see how it would be more fun. While it would add to canon, it would make the combat take a drastic dip in challenge. It would make combat, that really isn't that great in the first place, and make some of the battles essentially pointless. it would be like saying "here have some free exp"
  6. Yet stormtroopers wearing body armor always seemed to die in one shot. waitdaminute.......could it be that even the canon has issues in it your only other real option, as I see it, is to give the enemy all personal shields or something like that. Which is also kinda dumb.
  7. so how do you suggest you keep the game fun if you just walk through wave after wave of enemies. You would have to be fighting AT-ATs or Sith Lords for half the game. Thats not particularly realistic either. O and one lucky hit by a blaster and you would be dead. Sounds like a swell game.
  8. So, if someone were to ride a Boss Hoss (a motorcycle that has a 350-cubic-inch Chevy small block V- and it has an automatic (with reverse ) than you would be a women?
  9. So I turn off my fire wall for 5 minutes. I go to 2 sites, one being microsofts direct x site, the other being Nvidias driver Dl page. In the process of that, I somehow get spyware on my computer that I can't get off (or find). It's basically like someone put a webpage over my desktop but under the icons. I scanned with 2 ad-aware programs multiple-times (in and out of safe mod). Task Manger shows nothing running. Remove software contains nothing new. Not sure what else to do at this point. It's not a virus. O, interest thing, if I resize my desktop to a higher rez.....I can see my desktop around the boarders because the offending spyware/webpage stays at the previous size. Argh any help? Signed- challenged in chicago
  10. O, were you now? (note: I didn't specifically meantion the bonding crystal, just a special one )
  11. Maybe put this is ask devs, because they are the only ones who know. As for teh crystal idea, I think I made that up last discussion as a "throw out" idea, (if anyone thought of it first, feel free to make me look bad) so no, thats not true. As far as we know. If you want discussion on this topic, it's been done to death, search
  12. I saw that and the first thing I thought was: O ****. Not in a "**** yeah" way either
  13. two new screenshots on gamespy? Looks like chronical update time.
  14. there are also new screenshots/concept art.....which also mostly suck ass
  15. but then, in an rpg, a jedi can use a pistol or fight HtH.
  16. but you do see the problems with that right? It's like being able to play Superman and batman in the same game. Batman is great and can do alot of stuff, but he's not freaking superman. Batman isn't stopping the comet coming towards earth.
  17. Frankly, most weapons in SW are one shot kills. You pretty much have to break canon to make a game.
  18. It's not like Hades doesn't have a point about lack of playable non jedi classes and the break in canon with having jedi using pistols, it's just that people disagree on how big of an effect that makes on the game/players enjoyment.
  19. I was thinking it might be, but I didn't know for sure either way. Did you hear that anywhere specific?
  20. Look I agree that having non-jedi classes would be better, if they worked (tho I think you can imagine some problems that would arrise from that. A regular Gijoe guy blasting away dark jedi left and right seems as bad as having lightsabers that can't cut through anything. Not to meantion that you then lose the whole "force alignment" angle of the game. Which I imagine might make it harder to craft a story to fit all possible characters.). I really think the choice to force the player into the role of a jedi is due to the choice to make the LS/DS and NPCs systems (seemingly) deeper and more meaningful. As for jedi being the same: The three classes arn't so different than having a Magic User/ Intermidiate/ Warrior. As for not using a lightsaber/force: The player will always have some level of useful force powers to use, I agree. It doesn't mean, via the player choices, that a lightsaber is the only viable path for the player. It's like saying you should have been a combat boy in FO because that was the easiest way to beat the game.
  21. I'm sure you can do that again in the second on except ::gasp:: using heavy weapons might actually work this time! Not to mention, as strange as it first strikes me, that you can fight HtH. In general yes, but not nessasarily your guy in K2/K1: Odds are you don't have to use a lightsaber for most of the game and odds are that you don't have to use the force for most of the game. If you choose to use the above: in this one you have force forms and lightsaber forms that might serve to further seperate the classes.
  22. Why? It would work by, for example, lets say a guy needs a droid repaired. He asks you to find someone that can do it or get some part he needs. You can say ok or no, but if your repair skill is high enough you might be able to repair it yourself for him. Maybe you get a bigger reward or something like that because you cut out the middle man.
  23. Good to hear. In K1 they did, more or less. We know the devs have tired to flesh each one out more in K2. We'll see where that leads.
