  1. Yea, that seems to be my best option right now.
  2. Ok, seriously, your going to have to clear yoru arguement up or pick a side or something You were arguing that you wanted a "authentic" Jedi expirence and you wanted Lightsabers to go through metal/swords with no problem. So if you want an authentic expirence and a lightsaber that almost nothing can stop, you kinda have to one hit kills or it is even worse than having swords blocking lightsabers. Unless you want to argue skin and bones stop lightsabers, but metal doesn't in the authentic SW world.
  3. Unless I'm mising something, I can see that work. There would be a few problems tho, like the loot you find when the enemy dies, does he just dig into his pockets and drop coins and items on the ground as he flees. It also might be tought to tell when the enemy has been defeated. In a crowd it could be hard to see if the guy has a weapon or not. If you break there weapon with a saber, what happens if your not using a light saber? This arguement is a "common sense" arguement, much like the lightsaber being blocked by swords one, not nessasarily one to make the game better: If you break it with the force, then why couldn't I just use the force to snap the gun in two before the fight?
  4. I cannot but agree with your thinking. It seems weird that a Jedi would kill all these people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *squints eyes* Jedi...powers...not...working.... Mind explaining your outrage? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actaully, I didn't say anything to you. I was making reference to the fact that they wanted to "massacre" enemies earlier, but now didn't think jedi should be able to do that. But there is a problem with your statement. They all wanted the lightsaber as a one-hit-kill weapon, but you want that blow to not kill the person, but have their weapon blow up. While that seems kinda silly, it still "works". The problem comes in when you just have to tap each guy once, and he dies/runs. The game loses its challenge. EDIT: I can't really see a "good" way to do all this, to be fair. I don't like the idea of sabers being blocked by swords, but I understand that because the jedi are so superhuman you have to tone them down to be able to make a proper game with them in it.
  5. Ok, you want a ton of enemies to kill if your DS, but you want to have to disarm almost all of them, pause, switch all party members to a new enemy, and repeat or get a DS point if your LS. Do I have it now?
  6. I cannot but agree with your thinking. It seems weird that a Jedi would kill all these people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So um....you want to kill a bunch of people in K2, but you also want to have the game go perfectly along with canon (canon that is often conflicting mind you)? GL
  7. Ya, micromanaging combat in RT sounds like a blast! except you would have to be pausing constatly to make sure you or your npcs don't kill the guy you disarmed. LS would become a pause fest.
  8. So you then would see, say the sims, as the ultimate expression of the genre? Yep, minus certain droids, monsters, and bounty hunters. Hence why you can't make an RPG like that. I don't understand what you guys don't get about that. In fact, in most SW games don't have a lightsaber as an one slice kill weapon. Actaully, in this case, I am on the winning side. As what you want won't happen, at least not in K2. EDIT: In fact, I think they are/were working to make the combat scale even better than K1. Keeping the challenge level up.
  9. See thats what I'm saying. You guys want a different genre, not an rpg.
  10. Thats a good idea, I'm going to try it now. Tho since I was installing windows updates while this happened, it's going to be messy
  11. Actaully, Akari already told us about the "point" (avoid mines) ability that mira has. How it works is that she won't set of mines, but if she is the head of the party, then no one sets off mines. The grenade launcher is new tho. Tho I do appreciate MCA stopping round. Thanks
  12. Dude its only Star Wars and I want to have a Star Wars feel from this game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But you want to sacrifice gameplay to do so. I think thats crazy.
  13. Seriously, some of you guys sound like you rather be playing the newest shoot em up: Superman in a Tank vs. blind farmers with dull pitch forks.
  14. Lets give the player an AT-ST to go throught the game with!!! That would be sweeeeet! Screw balance, I want to kill stuff! really? In the prequels the jedi sure seemed to be able to go through a bunch of droids without being winded.
  15. While I'm not sure I agree with a broad view of this statement, I know I disagree that combat should be easy, to the point that it's a joke. If there is no challenge, then there is no fun, then the game gets tedious. Now I'm not saying you should be pushed to the breaking point every fight, but there is a balance there. Your not talking about avoiding battles. I can see that being a good option for someone who wants to be a peaceful jedi type guy. You want to have super easy battles, and I can't see how that helps anything besides canon.
  16. lol, easier said than done, but i may have too
  17. I don't see how it would be more fun. While it would add to canon, it would make the combat take a drastic dip in challenge. It would make combat, that really isn't that great in the first place, and make some of the battles essentially pointless. it would be like saying "here have some free exp"
  18. Yet stormtroopers wearing body armor always seemed to die in one shot. waitdaminute.......could it be that even the canon has issues in it your only other real option, as I see it, is to give the enemy all personal shields or something like that. Which is also kinda dumb.
  19. so how do you suggest you keep the game fun if you just walk through wave after wave of enemies. You would have to be fighting AT-ATs or Sith Lords for half the game. Thats not particularly realistic either. O and one lucky hit by a blaster and you would be dead. Sounds like a swell game.
  20. So, if someone were to ride a Boss Hoss (a motorcycle that has a 350-cubic-inch Chevy small block V- and it has an automatic (with reverse ) than you would be a women?
  21. So I turn off my fire wall for 5 minutes. I go to 2 sites, one being microsofts direct x site, the other being Nvidias driver Dl page. In the process of that, I somehow get spyware on my computer that I can't get off (or find). It's basically like someone put a webpage over my desktop but under the icons. I scanned with 2 ad-aware programs multiple-times (in and out of safe mod). Task Manger shows nothing running. Remove software contains nothing new. Not sure what else to do at this point. It's not a virus. O, interest thing, if I resize my desktop to a higher rez.....I can see my desktop around the boarders because the offending spyware/webpage stays at the previous size. Argh any help? Signed- challenged in chicago
  22. O, were you now? (note: I didn't specifically meantion the bonding crystal, just a special one )
  23. Maybe put this is ask devs, because they are the only ones who know. As for teh crystal idea, I think I made that up last discussion as a "throw out" idea, (if anyone thought of it first, feel free to make me look bad) so no, thats not true. As far as we know. If you want discussion on this topic, it's been done to death, search
  24. I saw that and the first thing I thought was: O ****. Not in a "**** yeah" way either
