Damn, I ran regcleaner, ad-aware, and spybot all in safe mode. Found a few things. Rebooted, got the same damn thing. At this point I'm ready to give this thing my SS#, Drivers Liceanse, and and Mothers maiden name to make it go away.

seems so, which is surprising, because I'm not retarded enough to agree to DL this ****. I dropped my firewall and went to 2 sites and 2 only. Nvidias main site and the Windows updater site. My though is that the few existing spyware files on my comp played a role in this.

The alert is because I recently turned the damn thing off because it kept bugging me about this one DL. I've got sygate personal fire wall pro 5.5. It worked flawlessly, till I dropped it for 5 ****ing minutes..... I havn't updated since sp2, but there is only one update left, apparently EDIT: oops, fixed that 3rd yahoo pic:

I tried it, actually. BUT, looking again I find: WinRatchet.exe WinAdTools.exe Both adware. Of course as soon as I close them they pop back up in the manager. Which means they must have added/edited teh registry and the ad ware isn't catching it. While I can find winadtools in the reg (deleted) I can't find winratchet. Searching files now too. Might need to go to safe mode to clean it up

Those are the two I tried, they found a few things (mostly cookies), but didn't solve the problem. On a side note: Either it's this adware or because I installed the new service pack from windows, but I can us restore. It fails everytime. Even dates post installation. I've been owned. Here is some pics so you can see what is going on: The "background webpage" takes to forms. A solid colored slowly flashing from cream to white and a yahoo one when I right click and hit backwards link. It used to display one of those webpages that is clearly spyware related, but it doesn't anymore: those links are functional on the yahoo page, except the pop-up into new windows. and here is what happens when I bump up the rez: As you can see this thing sits between the wallpaper and the icons. It is also the work of the devil.

Ok, seriously, your going to have to clear yoru arguement up or pick a side or something You were arguing that you wanted a "authentic" Jedi expirence and you wanted Lightsabers to go through metal/swords with no problem. So if you want an authentic expirence and a lightsaber that almost nothing can stop, you kinda have to one hit kills or it is even worse than having swords blocking lightsabers. Unless you want to argue skin and bones stop lightsabers, but metal doesn't in the authentic SW world.

Unless I'm mising something, I can see that work. There would be a few problems tho, like the loot you find when the enemy dies, does he just dig into his pockets and drop coins and items on the ground as he flees. It also might be tought to tell when the enemy has been defeated. In a crowd it could be hard to see if the guy has a weapon or not. If you break there weapon with a saber, what happens if your not using a light saber? This arguement is a "common sense" arguement, much like the lightsaber being blocked by swords one, not nessasarily one to make the game better: If you break it with the force, then why couldn't I just use the force to snap the gun in two before the fight?

I was making reference to the fact that they wanted to "massacre" enemies earlier, but now didn't think jedi should be able to do that. But there is a problem with your statement. They all wanted the lightsaber as a one-hit-kill weapon, but you want that blow to not kill the person, but have their weapon blow up. While that seems kinda silly, it still "works". The problem comes in when you just have to tap each guy once, and he dies/runs. The game loses its challenge. EDIT: I can't really see a "good" way to do all this, to be fair. I don't like the idea of sabers being blocked by swords, but I understand that because the jedi are so superhuman you have to tone them down to be able to make a proper game with them in it.

Ok, you want a ton of enemies to kill if your DS, but you want to have to disarm almost all of them, pause, switch all party members to a new enemy, and repeat or get a DS point if your LS. Do I have it now?

Ya, micromanaging combat in RT sounds like a blast! except you would have to be pausing constatly to make sure you or your npcs don't kill the guy you disarmed. LS would become a pause fest.

So you then would see, say the sims, as the ultimate expression of the genre? Yep, minus certain droids, monsters, and bounty hunters. Hence why you can't make an RPG like that. I don't understand what you guys don't get about that. In fact, in most SW games don't have a lightsaber as an one slice kill weapon. Actaully, in this case, I am on the winning side. As what you want won't happen, at least not in K2. EDIT: In fact, I think they are/were working to make the combat scale even better than K1. Keeping the challenge level up.

Actaully, Akari already told us about the "point" (avoid mines) ability that mira has. How it works is that she won't set of mines, but if she is the head of the party, then no one sets off mines. The grenade launcher is new tho. Tho I do appreciate MCA stopping round. Thanks
