British soldiers beat Iraqi kids
Those kids needed a good beating. It's just too bad it had to come from a British solider and not their own parents (hey maybe their parents were dead).

The C.O.P.S. Thread
Heh I remember COPS. Vaguely. The only episode I remember is one of them gets sacked from the force and then decides he'll catch some criminals to get rehired. Well he does, but the criminals are like: "Hah you can't arrest us, you're not a cop anymore!" To which he replies "Wrong! Citizens arrest!" Genius huh.

Chris Taylor! Oh bugger, but he's busy taking over the RTS genre again...

I expect this has been done to death, but...
There are psychos that go around, track down and kill everybody of a single name. Didn't you watch that documentary where some guy went around and killed every single woman called Sarah Conner?

Cell Phones
What happened to all those "they'll cause you cancer" allegations? They just seemed to evapourate. Rather strange - the science behind them was at least as sound as the science behind intelligent design.

I bet we could breed a super race of muslims capable of fasting both day and night!

Character progression in CRPGs
I've made no claim where all RPGs only use statistics for combat-related skills; I said "seems" precisely because I know all RPGs don't do this, but instead that's how most "seem" to work. And I disagree to that. And I've said why. And yet you still can't accept being wrong. Instead all you seem to do is simply chuck forth a few meaningless self quotations and glip remarks. We all understood. You can keep up with your condescending attitude all you like, but it doesn't change the fact you were wrong, and in the face of it, rather rude in your responses. Really, keep it up. You'll soon find everyone will return the favour and ignore you.

Character progression in CRPGs
Tends to rely != always relies. Thank you. Good night. God bless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And another empty reply? We all understood what you were saying. I can name a vast array of RPGs where stats aren't useful only for combat, and that's why I say you're completely wrong. You should show a bit more appreciation that people bother to read your threads and engage in discussion. Instead all you seem to do is simply chuck forth a few meaningless self quotations and glip remarks.

Character progression in CRPGs
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah so, what's the point of your quotation? You say it seems statistics in RPGs only has an application in combat-related skills, and I've given you an example where it seems you're utterly wrong.

Character progression in CRPGs
I don't agree with that. What about all those intelligence/speech/science/barter based rolls in Fallout for more dialogue options?

Cure for AIDS within the decade?
Apparently during its evolution HIV had a chance to become airborne, but luckily it chose to go down another route.

Rate an 'artist': 50Cent
Although feeble sounds more appropriate than abysmal, I don't want people to get the wrong idea and think he's anything but the worst. Seriously though he must be so ****ing thick. You'd think after being shot that many times he'd get the message: nobody likes him.

Freedom of Speech.
Mmmm, but you can argue that charity is then profiting from crime. So it's all right to steal a loaf of bread to feed your starving family?
-
Cure for AIDS within the decade?
Hurrah!

Freedom of Speech.
I believe the reason for this was the Crown sees it unfit for anyone to profit on crime. His book would sell a lot better with all the gore in it, and well I for one wouldn't like to see a mass murderer rewarded by the publics morbid curiousity.

Violence Today
Oh come on, who didn't laugh at the Monty Python black knight. Everybody loves a bit of violence in the right context.
