Get a Gamecube. Personally I wouldn't bother with Mario Kart cos compared to the SNES and N64 versions the Gamecube version has really poor tracks. What you really want to get is Resident Evil 1. It's one of the best games out there. Resident Evil 4 is also worth a play (and you don't even have to know the story of the previous series).

They need to leave timestop out so they can put it in the first expansion pack: "A bunch of spells to screw up the game".

TFT LCDs are a lot better than CRTs in my opinion. I can definitely notice a big difference. You have to get one with a refresh rate under 10ms though or you'll notice a lot of ghosting whilst playing FPS or other fast paced games.
