I've seen up to 46" LCD's for what it's worth. Not quite 60' but still.

I haven't heard of Conflicts either, however I do own Test of Time. It has the original Civ2 game as well as an extended version of the game that has extra units and technologies. The extended version allows you to continue on playing and colonize Alpha Centauri. Reaching the planet unlocks a secondary tech tree as well. Along with those there is also a Sci-fi scenario that spreads over four maps and a fantasy campaign that has a similar four map spread. The buildings and technologies are all the same in these campaigns except that they have been renamed.

Take-Two planning Civ compilation. It may not have a cloth map in the extras, but a Civ card game sounds pretty neat. "

Tau. That should answer just about any and all questions you people might have. -

Stupid demo! I want my Broadsides! -
You can preorder from your local EB. That's what I did with Civ4.

Pretty much. Although to be honest, I don't think Crank really acknowledges that there is a top to be over in the first place it just that far over it. "
-
I went and saw Crank earlier today and it's probably the most ADD movie I have ever seen. It was just so over the top it was absolutely rediculous. The cinema that I went to was 3/4 full in the middle of the afternoon with mostly older people who seemed to have a great time. Lots of laughs, intentional or not.

I would like to see a remake of Alien Legacy. I have the original cd version and there are a number of small changes and one large change that I would like to see implemented. I'm in the beginning stages of creating my own version of the game that would have some of my changes added to it. The one thing that I'm not sure how I would add to the game however would be actual combat unfortunately. As an alternative to a remake, a sequel would be good too where you start in a solar system nearer to Earth and build up your forces in order to retake our own solar system from the Centaurians and eventually retaliate against their homeworld. As you retake the Sol system and colonize the planets you discover the remanants of human outposts and destroyed centaurian ships. In the centaurian system you could find new materials that would allow you to make advances in technology. I'm sure someone could work it out! "

They did. It was dropped around the time that HoMM5 came out. I think they use Securom now.

I agree with the ads in the racing game. I can see those working well without being too distracting. However there are very few games that I think would work well with modern product advertising. I mean Drink Coke! Official drink of the 22nd century military! just wouldn't work well.

If anyone here had actually been in that forum you might have noticed that there was discussion and even a sticky about it. Like this thread here in fact...

Let me relate to you a story I just read. It's about a little bunny rabbit. The Fable of the Excellent Bunny Once there was this excellently perfect bunny (like you). The bunny always did perfectly excellent things. One day the bunny met this chicken who was a huge jerk. And this chicken always did mean horrible things. The excellent bunny wanted to make friends with the jerk chicken. But as you know, there's no talking to jerks like that. So the bunny let his friend, Mr. Bear, eat the chicken. And then everything was great! Moral: All problems can be solved by letting a bear eat them. May I ask why you want a polar bear? "

Hey it's been three years (well not including the notebook) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm still running on the computer that I purchase 4 years ago this October. In that time, I've added a sound card, swapped the video card once (W00T! Go 9600 Pro! ), swapped the hard drive (30GB>160GB) and swapped the CD-RW for a DVD Combo drive. All the computers (or rather almost all) in this thread make my computer cry. :'(
-
Oh great! This will be like the second computer you've purchased since I bought mine. Go on! Show off your massive ammounts of money by buying another computer. See if I care! :'(

The billions of dollars in taxes on cigarettes that smokers always complain about? "

Still playing Act of War: High Treason. Finally hit a snag here on mission 10 or so where you have to defend yourself from 3 fully complete enemy bases. You start in a good defensive position, however I've been trying to use my heroes to defend against the enemy attacks, but I've discovered that a single shot from USA Paladin artillery will kill half of the troops that garrison a building including my heroes. And of course their survival happens to be a mission objective. Also, my mouse is dying on me.

Yes but if that's all that he's talking about, I can think of several other games that also offer the same advantages. Emperor: Battle for Dune is one.
-
and yet the only other game that makes good use of terrain advangage was Starcraft... generals just kinda ignored it (sight bonus was it) and Warcraft ignored it for the most part. :sighs in resignation: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Terrain Advantage = Slightly better sight/target range and slight 25% miss chance for units on lower elevation? I can't think of anything else that Starcraft offered in terrain. Is that what you are referring to when you say terrain advantage?
-
Ah yes. That would be it. Although wasn't Red Alert 2 the only one that could really be classified as "campy"?
-
Generals was fine, although it just wasn't really C&C. It was missing that something.

HAHAHAHAHA! Die Consortium scum!

How can you people like "Tech Talk" better than "The Technomicon"? You people have no taste!

I linked to a new movie with Kucan in it earlier. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> There was some speculation on the internet whether or not it was actually him or just a really good look alike.

Skeeter was the mutant in Fallout (2 right?) that would upgrade some of your weapons. He lived in a junkyard. I like 6, 7, 10 and 15. Can't think of a 5th one.
