  1. I much prefer Westwood's 2D C&C's above EA "enter whatever location here"'s 3D *C&C in name only* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering you only have Generals to look at when talking about EA's C&C, you'll find that there are many, many C&C fans that agree with you. Heck, some don't even consider Generals to be a part of the C&C franchise no matter what the title says. And Metadigital, it's Joe Kucan. Hassat: I recall reading that it was confirmed that Kucan is back as Kane, but I can't find where I read it. I'll keep looking for you though.
  2. I like that one. "
  3. Apparently Earth is no longer a planet. Link
  4. When do we start the riots? Oerwinde: O... M... G... That is supposed to be Megatron?
  5. My mistake. They are actually using something like this. It just reminded me of a .50 machine gun and kinda sounds like it in the game. Slightly different.
  6. Depends on the soldier. I can't recall ever being able to kill a tank with just regular soldiers. Heavy snipers can take out tanks. The heavy duty machine gun troops don't do much in anti-infantry mode, but do pretty well in anti tank mode...
  7. Act of war isn't too bad in that regard. All basic infantry will die in one hit from from a tank. The more expensive guys will survive a little longer though. 1 on 1 the infantry die fast, but if you can get a group of them together they can hold their own.
  8. what'd they add? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now that I have played the first two missions and gotten my butt kicked in the third I can say that they have added several new units a full new campaign, unfortunately not with any FMV's though. The difficulty seems to have racheted up a notch or three as well. Although I swear it's cheating. .50 Machine Guns with armour piercing rounds are great, but one can only take on so many M1A2 Abrahms at once... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> snipers vs m1's? Run like heck! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not snipers. New unit, two troopers holding a machinegun mounted on a tripod. Can switch between anti-personnel ammo and anti-tank ammo. Although Heavy Snipers still work quite well versus M1's as long as they don't try to squish you. I'll try and get a screen shot of them at work for you.

  10. what'd they add? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dunno yet. Haven't started it up yet. It's a standalone product. The original game was some 6GB and this one is 7GB. Box says it added naval combat...
  11. I just installed Act of War High Treason. After three months I finally found the game. This "expansion pack" is a full GB larger than the original game!
  12. That was something that caught me too. Load times were damn good till it hit around the 80% mark where it would just stop for at least a minute. I found myself ignoring areas just so that I wouldn't have to sit through the damn load time. <_<
  13. I don't think I'll be quite that brutal. I'm playing a sniper <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I played through as a scout on my first run. SMG+Sneaking FTW! Although you really need a good soldier class for the full MG's that can blow through walls and ceilings... "
  14. Please don't attack us or we will attack you!
  15. I only managed to find enough parts for one crafted weapon and that was a hammer of some sort. :">
  16. Yeah. I was using a short sword called Starfire or some such that was only +1 but had 1d6 fire and DC 13 flare on hit for most of the game until I found a +3 1d6 ice short sword about an hour from the end of the module. I had 250k gold and nothing to spend it on. <_< I was using a Rogue/Fighter in a 2:1 ratio for levels. Beat the module as an 8/4 Rogue/Fighter. Had an armour class in the 40's and did on average 14 damage or so per hit. Averaged 34 with my constant sneak attacks. :D
  17. First you start with a good aligned character... "
  18. I'll probably catch that one this weekend. Looked neat.

I'd go back and edit the post to change his name but it won't let me do it anymore. I could have sworn I had that "R" in there. I really did go back and double check the name... And your comparison to Nash only works if you think that Nash deserves $4.5 million/season. Considering the production he's managed to put up I might consider $2 million/season, maybe 2.5 and I would likely offer the same amount to Zherdev. They offered him $3.5 for two years according to the article and that comes out to $1.75 mil/season which is better. It would be better if we had more concrete details about what they are looking for other than "It's still not close to what the Zherdev camp wants." <_<
  20. Who were the Munroes again? The game just crashed on me and I hadn't saved in over an hour I was almost at the end too...

We could discuss what a money-grubbing bastard, Zhedev is. <_<
  22. Too late.
  23. I remember getting the crash when entering a house in Beregost. I never noticed any bugs other than the ones that crashed the games. I'm sure they were there, but that doesn't mean that I noticed them. "
  24. Yeah, it seems like one of those movies that you need to get a group of people together to get the full effect from it. "
