  1. Now, you're assuming I'm a religious guy. I'm not, I just think religion has its uses. Also, I was trying to point out that people are the ones who define what is or isn't valuable. So, for example, getting whipped gives pleasure to some people, hence they pay money for it, and hence it is worth something to them.
  2. You can't eat it, it doesn't protect you from cold, it can't take you to places (no, hell & heaven don't count), and for the majority, it's not enough to be happy. Mostly worthless. Ok. What is the point of religion, then?
  3. If religion has value for a lot of people how can you call it worthless?
  4. Does that mean I got most of the scientific questions wrong? I'd like to think I am pretty smart when it comes to science. The two guys are Planck and Newton, right? Mn stands for Manganese, right? Any one? I'm pretty sure the guy with the beard was Maxwell, not Planck.
  5. "Low Ranking Nerd. Definitely a nerd but low on the totem pole of nerds." Only 32% are nerdier than me. Is that sad? Should I care?
  6. I would for "This the spam of a spamiful spamship." but the poll doesn't give me that option.
  7. Oh, good. You had me worried for a moment there. Is Silent Storm Gold the original game plus the expansion?
  8. Are the turns any slower than in JA?
  9. ^ I have to agree. Except for Starcraft. It wasn't bad. Of course, all these games sold like hotcakes, which makes it a bit hard to criticize Blizzard. My beef with them is that their last truly innovative game was Lost Vikings.
  10. Arcanum is great. And awful too in some ways.
  11. This is it. I haven't changed. I'm still a lurker and my posts are still short and useless. Just like this one. I've been around since the first day. Isn't that sad?
  12. Village Ghetto Land by Stevie Wonder (from Songs In The Key Of Life) Would you like to go with me Down my dead end street Would you like to come with me To village ghetto land See the people lock their doors While robbers laugh and steal Beggars watch and eat their meals-from garbage cans Broken glass is everywhere It
  13. What's the best place to go to get mods and other stuff for Silent Storm?
  14. This is all very, very impressive. Especially the bit about destructible buildings. Does the game have any gameplay faults?
  15. Kohan (1 or 2) is a great RTS most people haven't played.
  16. What are its innovative features? Is the 3d engine good for something other than eye candy? Is it buggy? I'm also hoping to stir a fun, readable debate over the game for me to read over the weekend. I'm a lurker in need of entertainment. :p"
  17. I'll probably be getting Silent Storm next week (with a magazine). I seem to recall reading good things about it on these forums. I understand it's like Jagged Alliance but in 3D. What can you tell me about it?
  18. I've been listening to the music on civ 4's official site and I really like it. What's the file format of the music that comes with the game?
  19. I voted SNES because it is the only console I've ever owned. I didn't vote PC because it isn't a gaming console. But I guess you already knew that.
  20. Making a movie out of a game with no story whatsoever is a pretty idiotic idea. How anyone thought this could be a good movie is beyond me.
  21. Well, the Total War games are all about the battles. The turned based part of the game is a bit too light for me. In Civ, on the other hand, the battles are not, to me, the best part of the game. However, the resource management and the diplomacy are a lot of fun. My point is, of course, that both are a lot of fun but in very different ways. On this note, what I would like to see is a Civ game with Total War type battles.
