Actually, I have to disagree there. All they needed to do to market SS2 was talk about how the player is alone in a huge spaceship against zombies, with a hawt, mad and evil robot woman out to get him, and throw a bunch of Alien references in. Add the shooter 2.0 buzzword Levine was so fond of using for Bioshock, and we'd have a marketing winner. No, the engine isn't easily configurable, plus I think Irrational has already stated they wouldn't release an editor.

What it looks like is that it did start off as a spiritual successor to SS2, but extensive focus testing led them to axe the system shockyness out of the game.

As Sawyer might tell you, there's always Full Throttle.

Naked Lunch and Dead Ringers are my favourite among his movies. Others that I like and have seen are Videodrome, Scanners, and Spider.

I don't get how one minor band and one minor cartoon show make for well tilled sol. Especially, when we are talking about a video game here. Besides, other than the generic metal theme, the game's story and design seem to have bugger all to do with either Tenacious D or Metalocalypse.

While I have long known the power of the whip in Civ, I simply refuse to use it. It's cheap and it's evil. This just means I have to stay away from the highest difficulty levels.

All you said was accurate, if, ultimately, superficial. Special relativity is fairly simple and straightforward, by the way. It's not by chance that it is included in some secondary school curricula. General relativity, on the other hand, is hell to grasp, conceptually and to handle, mathematically. Which, of course is why it's so awesome.
