  1. Animations and character model detail are really the aesthetical things in a game that are most important to me. They really broke immersion in Morrowind, for example. And brought an added layer of awesomeness to NOLF, for instance.
  2. So, you're saying you pirated these movies? Why don't you ask your question at a warez site? Here's a good one... You schmuck! @OP: Also, this issue has appeared before. Unfortunately, I don't think it has been solved, yet.
  3. Yeah, but you only get yellow meteorite a lot later in the game, while you can get a red meteorite sword in the first chapter.
  4. It's a steel sword. Also, the red meteorite sword is much better than the blue one. Damage is king in the Witcher.
  5. It does. Play the demo if you have doubts.
  6. Fixed! Fixed, you don't really need anything else. Unless it's been nerfed. For me, on hard, just ignii wasn't enough.
  7. Fixed!
  8. Game? What game?
  9. While I haven't tried it, I think you can bed her and then give her to the peasants.
  10. I played the demo and it seemed all kinds of awesome. I just haven't bought it yet due to money and time constraints.
  11. Personally, I'd like to see Obsidian make an RPG with an emphasis on humour.
  12. It's illegal, I think, but no one really cares or pays attention. I've seen magazine adverts offering either modded consoles or the ability to mod consoles. But, generally, all you need to know is how to use google. Probably, but what does PC users being more tech savvy have to do with PC piracy versus console piracy? It means that on the PC, pirates are a bigger percentage of the consumer base.
  13. No, if it just comes down to what you like, then you can't make any judgment at all, and any crap game is as good as a masterpiece because someone somewhere likes it. Just like KOTOR! Wait, are you arguing for or against KOTOR? I'm confused.
  14. What does that even mean? You can buy modded consoles in every store? There's a guy in every alley asking if you wanna score some console mods? The bigger chains don't obviously, but there are many smaller stores that do. And there's lots of guys who get it done as well. I didn't say otherwise. Probably, yes. The percentage of the consumer base who is tech savvy, however, is probably bigger on the PC side.
  15. I don't see what's so surprising about piracy existing on consoles. Here in Portugal everyone offers modded consoles. All the torrents of console games have to go somewhere. I'm guessing that the only difference between PC and consoles regarding piracy is that the average PC gamer is tech savvier than the average console gamer.
  16. It's the aesthetic, the sound, the tunes, the clever level design, the leaderboards, the neverending tower, the writing even. I never thought I'd be praising the writing in a level design. It's smart and it's funny. Also, the learning curve is really awesome: you literally learn how to play the game in 2 seconds, but the physics and the way the difficulty is gently increased from level to level, ensure that you'll be mastering the intricacies of the system for ages. The sense of accomplishment when finishing a harder level is priceless.
  17. Oh, yeah, it's only released next Monday. I am a preorder snob, but only so I can get the profanity pack. The goal of the game is to get goo to flow into pipes. That's it. And it's one of the most sublime experiences in gaming ever. Better than Portal.
  18. I know that, as a character, Kreia, had some shortcomings, but saying she's a K1 level character seems a bit harsh. >_
  19. World of Goo is simply brilliant. Everyone get it, now! It's only 20 bucks.
  20. The biggest problem with both KOTOR characters and ME characters is the way they're presented to the player. Attaching their character development to level ups/major plot points made them artificial, awkward to relate to, and shallow. They're basically just a stupid metagame. The fact that Bastila is ready to be your friend/bumper of uglies, even if you keep her locked away in the spaceship the entire game just destroys any chance of her being an interesting character. And the writing doesn't help, either.
  21. "My hatred for Linkin' Park comes from expecting the next great thing since Limp Bizkit, and getting a piece of half-baked, half-assed garbage instead." You see where you're going wrong there?
  22. They're nothing alike, the fact that you say this probably means you don't like KOTOR. Quests - Kotor's were great, ME's were crap Characters - Kotor's were great, ME's were crap Dialog - Kotor's was great, ME's was crap Art design - Kotor's was great, ME's was crap Story - Kotor's was great, ME's was crap Leveling up and equipment were also inferior in ME. Is that enough for you? I guess you are right regarding equipment and leveling up. But other than that? No.
  23. That's pretty awful, man. And I have a bias towards all things Swedish. Even Roxette is better.
  24. I have to agree with Morgoth on the song. The instrumental version is quite great, while the one with vocals is godawful.
  25. NWN2's OC, and for all its faults I'm really enjoying some of the writing. The writing is uneven but at times it really feels like it is a cut above other games. Shandra, for example, is one of the better characters in the game. She really got a bum rap from the hardcore crowd because of being forced on the player.
