  1. I'd like to see Obsidian make a game where the party NPC interaction is a mixture of Torment and BG2.
  2. Fallout 1 is the tighter, better designed game, but fallout 2 takes the cake for me, because of the melee combat. Crotch and eye punching my way to victory, FTW.
  3. I'd like to remind people that Mass Effect's side content is filler of the worst kind. Functionally, you basically visit the same planet dozens of time, using a moon buggy that controls like ass, and yet provides no challenge whatsoever.
  4. I just wish they'd stay away from D&D, and FR in particular, for the next 10 years.
  5. In Bruges is pretty effing awesome! Even Colin Farrel is good in it.
  6. I get the feeling that people are happy about Fallout 3's dialogue because their comparing it with the Elder Scrolls games.
  7. So you're complaining that the Kotor game which was specifically written by Chris Avellone is dead? I hate to break it to you, but I don't think it's dead, it's just finished. The point is, that instead of begging for sequel after sequel of the same stuff, perhaps it would be a good idea to ask developers to make new, innovative games. Games that take risks, do different things, and don't retread the same plot lines and settings.
  8. Let me check.... Yep, Avellone still writes and designs games. I think you're safe.
  9. Shame on the publishers for taking from you a franchise that was never yours, and was designed with the specific purpose of taking away your cash. Also, it was very cunning of them to achieve this by promising that the franchise will be continued and made available in stores for many years to come. It's just evil! Unless Bioware completely stops making games I think your precious generic gameplay experience is safe.
  10. Memoirs of an Invisible Man is on the wrong list.
  11. W. Not a very good movie, mostly on account of the subject matter, which makes Bush an easily manipulated, naive fool that got to where he is on account of the people around him and a bit of strength of will. Some great acting, though. Richard Dreyfuss and Jeffrey Wright were particularly impressive, playing the bad guy and the good guy, respectively. Bush tries to catch the ball, but it just flew over his head.
  12. How are the big guns' fatalities? Can you rip half of someone's chest apart? Also, can turn someone's head into red mist with your fists?
  13. Seriously, WTF? Anyway, didn't know there was a 60's Italian Job - I'll have to dig it up. You can't go wrong with Michael Caine and Benny Hill.
  14. It was already pretty bland at the time of release.
  15. You know what would be cool? If the player could bound and gag NPCs with materials found on location. Like with the room's drapes, or an electric chord, or the guy's tie. Please make the environments as interactive as possible.
  16. "Dated top-down contrivances"? I take issue with that.
  17. How's the levelling up? One perk for every level, and no traits really sound like dumb ideas.
  18. Crotch punching and eye poking my way through the wasteland would have made this a must buy for me. And other than the difficulty of making proper animations for it, I don't see why they decided to make melee pointless.
  19. It's a huge shame about the melee combat. Reading this thread, it's the biggest thing stopping me from getting the game.
  20. A dog in metal armor absorbing a nuclear blast?
  21. A dog absorbing a nuclear blast?
  22. How about Fallout: Total War?
  23. "Mediocre Americans are ignorant of history, while mediocre Europeans are obsessed with it."
  24. It's kind of awesomely hilarious how one of the romantic interests in NWN2 is a stalkerish creep.
