What are you playing now
I believe ETW was victim of loudmouth complainer syndrome, a handful of people with problems kicking up such a fuss that it seemed a lot bigger than it was. I dont know anyone who has had any major problems with ETW. With a truly broken game, like Damnation, you know its real because people complaints will come from more than one source. Well, I agree that ETW wasn't broken from the point of view of stability and game breaking bugs. However, the no land invasions AI retardedness made the campaign essentially pointless, which, for me, meant that the game turned into a coaster, and not a very good one, at that. And also, it annoys me a great deal they needed months to release a patch to fix a bug that had already been fixed in previous iterations of the series. It's really gross incompetence.

Movies you have seen recently
I disagree. I second Oerwinde's disagreement. Best Adam Sandler movie since Happy Gilmore. Better than a bloody awful movie, you say. I wouldn't call that disagreeing. Sandler's best is Punch Drunk Love, by the way. It's not even a contest.

Up quite good if a bit uneven. The beginning is just incredible (I cried), the rest is ok with moments of brilliant hilarity. Like when the kid passes the blimp's cabin.

Will the bodies of dead foes be wieldable as weapons?
What would be cool, would be to use a bad guy as a meat shield. Or perhaps to keep the bad guys at bay by holding a gun against a guy's temple. How explosive is the environment, by the way? Will there be propane tanks and the like waiting to be blown as a diversion/weapon?

Awesome/interesting games no one has heard of
Tron 2.0 is pretty awesome. It's basically NOLF in a different setting with more varied weapons and lightcycles.

Post more often, you horrible person. The movie thread in particular has been left to the philistine wolves.

Too similiar to Mass Effect?
Well, the different weapons are mostly meaningless, and balance is completely off its rocker. I wouldn't call it broken, however. It's just kind of bad.

Mike the Pacifist
Is it possible to get through missions without any interaction with the bad guys? Meaning getting in and out without touching anyone or letting them see you.

Are you people nice?
Posting here is the best way to always hang around, but at the same time appear to have a life due to the low post count. Welcome.

It's fairly short, but with loads of replayability

If this doesn't come out for the PC I will kill Tim Schafer with my mind.

Digital Spy preview / interview with Nathan Davis
So when you first start the game you have two difficulty settings (normal and recruit), and depending on which you choose you get different dialogue options. Is that correct?

Alpha Protocol preview at Eurogamer
This thread has gone completely off topic, and as such will be closed. However, I'll use my absolute powers of modship to have the last word on the subject of review scores. Scores are shortened reviews for the functionally illiterate. Regardless of whether a review is positive or negative, competently or incompetently written, wrong or right, biased or unbiased all you need to find it out is read the actual review. Edit: Feel free to continue the discussion elsewhere.

This is pretty freaking awesome.

Brian and Annie merge into a fearsome beast!
I'm more interested in the art direction than in the polycount. It's not about how big it is, but rather about how you use it.

If he is on fiber, that's pretty awful. If not, it's pretty good.

Brian and Annie merge into a fearsome beast!
It would be too much work to use the source engine, given they are making a TBRPG. They'd be better off making a new engine from scratch. Considering the apaprent needs of their game, the AoD engine is probably the best choice at this time.

I don't think they want a big publisher.

Political Cartoons
At the risk of offending almost everyone in the world, I'd like to point out that most likely, at one point, slavery was a revolutionary source of progress for mankind. How's that for evilly controversial?

New SW game ideas?
Septerra Core is pretty awful unless you're a descendant of dragons.

Well, perhaps if you had suggested Weapon of Choice. But even that is only good when Walken dances to it.
