I have been going through Chronicles of Riddick again which is as great as it was the first few times. Something about the game, your player's movement when walking gives this game a more realistic feeling than most FPS still on the market. Other than that, been doing quite a bit of research for some top ten lists across multiple genres and consoles for my website before the end of year. While I won't rant on how much I can't stand sites putting out a top 100 games ever list every single year, my lists are going from 1997-2007. Can't wait to be finished. Was a little bit more of an undertaking than I at first thought. When not doing that, or running through COR, I've been messing with some Team Fortress 2 and crazy enough, Zoo Tycoon 2 and its expansions for fun.

Have you played Just Cause? It was somewhat repetitive, but I thought the control system was quite good for an open-ended game with multiple different vehicles.

This is very true. It's very much an action game with assassination tendencies in all actuality. Would it be nice to have a game where you have different ways to assassinate people? Of course, but we have to remember this is the developers first venture into this style of game. No, not rooftop jumping, actiony combat, but overall 'grand theft auto' style of gameplay that's open to the player and from what I've seen, they definitely have the open-ended part down with the ability to climb almost anywhere and to me, yes, it's gonna get repetitive, but it's dependent upon the player and their type of playing style. I look at AC and see this as a great first step in what good be an amazing trilogy.

Yeah if you could check, that'd be great. I'm in the same situation as you wining and dining all I can, but I didn't get her yet. Nice to have the UK version. Can't imagine the US edition.

haha, you had to know that would happen. By the way, how did you take screenshots in The Witcher? I push printscreen but I don't think that works because I can never find the pictures anywhere in a folder. Do you use a program to capture the screens? Also, where did you pick up the poor townswoman? I have everyone in the your except her so far.

Well, if that's true, I apologize since I was under the impression that NWN2 used a different engine than NWN1. I thought I read somewhere that obsidian wanted to us the Aurora Engine, but ended up not using it because of running into too many complications between the engine and the upgrades they wanted to have.

The Europe Edition isn't censored from everything I've read. The US edition is however and that's why I bought my copy from gogamer.com because they offer the imported addition for almost the same price. Oh and for the guy who got the first woman tarot card and it seemed censored, that card is 'censored' for both editions. From then on, the tarot cards show the nudity. From what I hear, the censorship covers the tarot cards and some sexually oriented quests throughout the game. From then on, I've been really enjoying this game thoroughly. It has a heck of an atmosphere that only gets better with each hour you play through. I find the dialogue to be more realistic than most games of its time and the conversations don't seem pushed. The dialogue's 'darkness' fits into the setting. Yes, while running around outside of Vizima, someone said, "Your mothers sucks a dwarf's %@%?" But it was nothing that took away from the game or took me out of my experience. it just fits. Yeah, it does have long load times. I have a AMD 64 3000, 2 GB Ram, and 7600 GT and it runs superbly to say the least. It definitely has had more optimization that the original Aurora Engine for NWN. I just wish people across the net would stop saying that The Witcher is using the same engine as NWN2.

I have to say that it's easy to endure the load times because this game is a great exception to that minor flaw. Honestly, besides MOTB (And I'm not just saying that because I'm on Obsidian's website )The Witcher is easily one of the best RPGs I've played in a while. With the great atmosphere, intriguing story, loads of quests, length in campaign, decent enough graphics for today's standards, great voice-acting, and different style of combat, easily make this a great game overall. Without a question, this is a game that I'll be spending quite a bit of time with during the oncoming months ahead. Oh, and I heard that the developers were working on the load times right now with taking way some automatic auto-saves all the time and then moving onto improving the actual loading length, but to be truthful, my longest loading time was around 15 seconds and to me, that's not terrible at all.

I've been putting in some time with Halo 3 lately enjoying the feature of taking screenshots whenever and however you want.

Yeah, and too bad my Xbox 360 decided to RROD one week before Halo 3 came out. Now I just have a game and a lot less patience with customer service.

You're right, it's a very well done game. I've been having a blast with it. I played beta for the last 2 months and just recently got into it because of real life popping up. But I did convince 3 other people I know to play to play so we're gonna have a one night a week game night to play all together. I don't know what it is about the game, the storyline, quests, graphics, music, it all does it.

I bought one this past March and have enjoyed a lot of the games that I've played so far. The main reason I bought it is because there's a lot of games that are coming out for the pc and 360 that'll run a lot better on my 360. Games like Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, or GTA IV. Just easier and cheaper not to upgrade.

I realize that I should probably ask this in the NWN 2 forums, but wanted to know if anyone here could help me out. My main computer isn't hooked up to the internet and I was wondering, where can I go to downloaded the latest patch to the game and also the latest auto-updater patch? Do they allow you to download them from a separate place instead of just auto-updating?

Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar

After playing a few more days in closed beta and seeing the other side of spectrum, not dealing with hundreds of people running around every single place you go and before you say something, I realize that this is what a MMO with hundreds of people, but hopefully you get my meaning. Anyway, after a few more days, experiencing more and more quests for the different races, I still have to say that the story aspect of the game, with the quests and all, is quite interesting how Turbine tries to connect everything together. I wouldn't go as far to say that LOTRO is like Guild Wars. I spent a bit of time with GW and it's first expansion and can't really see the similarities. Although there are some similarities with GW and other MMO's, there are just too many differences to really compare them in my opinion. Hurlshot, I see your hesitancy with the smaller than normal area for a MMO, but Turbine has promised that they're going to be putting out expansions that expand the territory quite fast. Whether that's a good thing or not, I don't know. You can only hope for the best. How's Vanguard doing? I remember beta testing that a bit, but never went any further because of the way it played on my comp, plus the bugs. Has any of that been fixed yet? That game looks truly epic. -
If it helps at all, I wrote a review for this game a little bit back. Worth a read if you're interested. http://www.plastiksickness.com/Games/Reviews.asp?ID=65

Haven't posted in quite awhile, but I'm truly enjoying this game. I know quite a lot of people are having problems with bugs, but I haven't come across any game crashing bugs with the latest patch and with a few tweaks of the ini file, my performance is quite well with my graphic settings.

I definitely have to agree with this, when I first bought the game, I had a 9800 XT which played the game quite well, but then after playing through a few times, I needed to upgrade my card because it was starting to die out after 3 years of service, so I upgraded to Nvidia's 7600 GT, and the crispness of the game went away. Not that it looked terrible, but the edges suddenly became a little more rounder, if that sound right. But even the textures of the game weren't as clear. Again, it wasn't anything terrible, just dramatically different where you could tell between the two video cards.

Sorry is this is an odd question, but I've been visiting www.rpgdot.com for a while now and enjoy the news highlights. Just recently they moved to another site, and I just can't find it. They say it's their own independent site, but I can't seem to find it. I would appreciate anyone's help with this. It's probably something simple. Thanks!

Can someone tell me how to locate the folder with all of the documentation to learn about making a module?
