  1. Trying to find more time to play GTA V, with a busy life lately. Managed to get to Paragon lvl 3 with my Barb on D3 on the PS3, probably gonna start leveling other characters to see how they play, but I will say, it feels like a good hack n' slash console game more than a pc game. Hard to go back to the pc version, especially with the loot difference. GTA V has been good so far for the few hours I put into it. Just started getting the chance to use Trevor, so not too far into it. Also picked up State of Decay off steam, but thinking it might be awhile before I plug some time into it.
  2. I don't want to break your spirit, but you won't be hitting lvl 60 till the very end of your playthrough. As it was with the pc release, it's the same with console version. The third difficulty is for levels 50ish to level 60, because you can't play inferno without hitting level 60.
  3. Got my Barb to lvl 59 last night and looking forward to some paragon leveling and the gear to follow. Still enjoying it and think that while D3 is from the pc, it feels "right" on the console with the control and feel. Mostly soloed the first couple of runs, but the MP so far has been much than the pc so far. Instead of the mad dash to the end that happens when I try MP on the pc, usually on the console so far, it's been good pacing and loot finding. Also saw that the new Grim Dawn update has been released, so may try that out.
  4. I have a barbarian up to level 50, thus running him through the campaign twice. I would say about half and half solo and through multiplayer. Both experiences have been good and for mainly one reason, the loot has been through an overall with this loot 1.5 or whatever they wanna call it. I actually feel like putting more time in creates bigger rewards as opposed to putting hundreds of hours into creates small benefits. I was never really an auction house player on the pc and still play it from time to time, but the console version has me hooked so far. I'm actually excited to play other classes as I know I'll find pretty damn good loot for them as well. Paragon even excites me, because I know I'll still be coming across good loot, much more easily than on the pc version.
  5. He's not in the first town in the 1st run through but will be there the rest of your runs with that character. So you won't have to wait to act 2 to use him each time.
  6. I guess I feel a little differently, mainly due to the lack of a good aprg loot game on the console. Before this, for me, there was really Dungeon Hunter : Alliance, which was a IOS port, so this has been good and it seems like they've taken a lot of suggestions from the pc community and added some stuff such as a better loot system and paragon across the board. I think the polish on this game and entertainment factor are above those similar in genre, including Dungeon Siege.
  7. Lately, been playing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on the pc. Played through the game on PS3, but not the DLC chapters, therefore trying to get to them, but enjoying the game. I'm a Castlevania fan from way back and don't understand the hate for this game. I get some complications through the development of the title, but feel that they really captured the vibe and story with this game, if not for trying something new and profound to the series. Sorry for the size of the photo, been awhile since I posted a pic, but the level design is really well done, including the scope of everything. Also, awaiting my copy of Diablo 3 for the PS3. I enjoyed, more than others on the PC after respective patching, and look forward to the couch co-op and controller gameplay of this one. Especially due to the looting enhancements. If anyone is also planning on playing the PS3 version, let me know. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659527899359/8A4E14683FFBA0EA9E929B27A8137792D6FCE617/ http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659528154067/3B1938164E0879EA693F481C89AB9AD9D59E826C/ http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/920146659528185288/122910A3CAB19D592BE6113D5CE80F445CD775AD/ The last screen I enjoy because it gives a nod back to the mapping layout and portraying of earlier titles between levels. Arrgh, forgot, you can't post a linked photo from steam
  8. I'm excited for this game as well, but after buying SR3 for full price and seeing huge sales nothing a few months out of release, I'll wait to pick this up as I'm sure it's as fun as the previous game.
  9. I received this in the mail yesterday and have been itching to play, but probably not till the weekend due to a busy schedule, but have heard a lot of good things about it, so I'm looking forward to it for sure.
  10. Right before that last battle, if you have less than 4 in your group, a soldier comes and says something about reinforcements from the guy who sent you there, however it doesn't appear that anyone joins your group. is this a bug?
  11. I'm about 10 hours in so far, so I'm assuming I'm nearing the finish as to what's been said throughout the posts here and I'm simple loving the game. Much like what has been said about the looting, this game simply does not need it. To me, playing this game is like actually running a campaign in pnp. Sure, it's not open in many respects, but it provides some great atmosphere, great dialogue and some superb music throughout. The combat serves its purpose and can be quite enjoyable. My dwarf adept is just busting through enemies while I roll with some other classes to flesh out the party. The save system has been fine for me, however I will say you can certainly get yourself into trouble in the later part of the game if you forgot to buy some medkits or bring along a healer, but in the end, it's a learning experience. I've seen quite a few negative remarks about the game in the steam forums, but the reasoning behinds the complaints are less than remarkable. Too short? And not open enough? Honestly, this game, at least for me, is like reading a really good novel that I can make some designs and then it conforms to it. Like a choose your own adventure novel. I will say the game is not perfect, especially dealing with some of the sound cutting out/clipping issues, but I can say, for the $18 I paid for it. I know I'm going to get my money's worth, especially thanks to the community and I will definitely be looking forward to the Berlin DLC when they release it. Oh, did anyone read the negative comments pertaining to the devs, on how much the kickstarter raised as to the product they got. It really shows the immaturity and ignorance of some people. It takes money to make a game, especially one with an editor as capable as this title. Anyway, can't wait to finish up the campaign, and think about my next character through or start combing through the community workshop.
  12. I would agree as well, I've been having a great time with the game so far. it's almost like reading an interactive book that constantly gives you choices and then there's a little bit of combat splashed in from time to time to spice it up.
  13. I'm sure you probably already might know, but there is a community patch that is supposed to work with Risen 2, some 0.5 version that can install easily and fixes quests, npcs, etc.
  14. Been playing through Borderlands 2 since I never beat it when I first bought, however the completionist in me has me wanting to complete every quest even if it says the reward is trivial, but I know if I do this, I'll never finish the game. Other that that, started a Wizard in Diablo 3 since I never played one before whcih has been decent and finally picked up The Secret World and have finished installing and patching that up.
  15. I've also been going back and forth whether to pick up Defiance or not. Anyone here play it that has some comments about it?
  16. I have to agree. I really enjoy Xcom: Enemy Unknown. I know there are some who aren't impressed with the level of casualness it ensues, but lately, within the previous couple of years, my gaming time has subsided due to a little one and because of that, I enjoy these turn-based strategy games that you can easy get in, play a map or so, make some changes to your troops, and get in and still enjoy the game. I still love my deep RPG's but if we see an few more games in the vein of the latest Xcom, I'll be happy as well and the setting for this game seems perfect for this type of pc transition.
  17. Too much sightseeing not enough gameplay? That's exactly what thought when playing through Uncharted 3 and then have not been able to go back to TLOU yet.
  18. Had a level 21 soldier in BL2 that I loaded up from a long time ago. Had so many open quests from so many places that I decided to start over with the mecromancer or whatever her name is since it would feel new. Have all the dlc from a cheap buy of the season pass so I thought I should make a run for it. Played some COH2 with a fellow Obsidianite which was a fun time. Taught me quite a few things but I know I have a long time before I feel comfortable with the pace and combat since I haven't play COH in forever and I'm so used to typical RTS style gameplay. Also picked up Risen 2 with dlc for $9 which seemed decent. For those that have played the game, are there any community patches I should be installing? I know it released with a good amount of bugs. Otherwise, really enjoy Rogue Legacy for short bursts and have put off Legends of Dawn until they release that big patch they keep talking about.
  19. I just picked this up and played through the first one mission and had a good time with it so far. Took a little bit to get back into the COH style of gameplay since it's been years since I played the original. Would like to try out the co-op campaign sometime.
  20. Just wanted to check that anyone with a uplay account, did you recently get an email from Ubisoft to change your password? Also, right now, playing a little Rogue Legacy and just starting some Legends of Dawn.
  21. So far, mind you I only played for a few minuted, the graphics are straight out of 2006 and the game seems quite rough around the edges. The "story" seems like the prototypical "find the mythic artifact to save the world" crap that's been done a billion times over. The controls seem fairly awkward, though I haven't tried remapping anything yet. I guess I'll get used to it eventually. So basically, not exactly knocking my socks off right now, but I'm barely scratching the surface. Anyway, I'll report back once I get deeper. Look forward to hearing more. I already have it downloaded but can't play till Tuesday. If its decent that'll be enough for me till now till other games start rolling out and maybe with a couple patches it'll be better.
  22. If anyone is interested and I believe a couple people were, Legends of Dawn, a kickstarter game is releasing on Steam in 1 hour, out of nowhere. Which is just awesome since I'm leaving for the weekend till Monday:) Oh well, for those of you interested, can't wait to hear your thoughts.
  23. I have to agree, while the original was alright, I was very disappointed with the sequel. I have high expectations for Legends of Dawn, when I know I shouldn't, especially with the constant delays.
  24. Does this mean that loot often feels varied/unique-ish and rewarding, with a reasonable chance of getting something decent, thus giving motivation to keep on looking for it? Because that's one area Diablo3 failed miserably, for me. And NW:Online too, for that matter (the variety aspect anyway). There's few things in an action-y loot game that I dislike more than boring or almost statistically impossible to acquire RNG loot. I always liked the variability of the loot. Found it much more rewarding in Sacred 2 as compared Diablo 3, at least in my experience.
  25. I've played this game on and off, with and without the expansion, since beta testing it before release. I played the retail releases and now the gold edition on Steam and I can say, with the latest Community Patch, the game is pretty much playable. After installing everything, run it once. If it doesn't start properly, then restart your computer and that worked for me and it has been running perfect since then and finally I can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played because I definitely have put more than enough time into it, plus playing through it on the Xbox. Also, I'm running Windows 7. Oh and I assume it will be on sale through steam in the next week, so for $10, you can't go wrong for this much content. The thing that always impressed me with Sacred 2 was the sheer size of the playable area and the differentiation of the amount of loot.
