  1. I have to say with my life right now, being a family with two kids, I look at MMOs as just a different kind of game. A little more "generic" class design that allows more solo gameplay entices me and when I want to group up, I can easily enough. I've played a bit of ESO and have been enjoying it for what it is. I enjoy the skyrim mechanics mixed in with a little bit of MMO mechanics and think it works well enough. I would say the same thing about Guild Wars 2. That game can also be quite a bit of fun solo or in a group when u want. Both have had good helpful communities as far as I have played and the fact that neither have subscriptions also is quite enticing dealing with the amount of time I can actually put into them. I understand that the formulas of MMOs has changed dramatically over the past 10 years, but so have I and so has my time, so instead of camping a boss for hours, I can easily just enjoy the time I am online. I won't argue that MMOs have not gotten more generic because surely all aspects of them have. I guess it's just what you're expecting when you go into them.
  2. I will however were both in the U.S. so I'm not quite sure how the servers work.
  3. I just picked this up for the ps4 with my brother in law. Hope that it creates some fun times. Thanks for the pics!
  4. For those of you who have played and beaten Dragon Age: Inquisition, what class were you playing as and how did you like it?
  5. I would safely assume, however the Director's Cut, I'm sure the spec req. will change with Unity 5 or at least the graphical upgrades.
  6. I started up this game on the PS4 and am happy with it so far with the exception that I feel due to the opening being so "open" to taking any mission you please, the tutorial for buttons or even gadgets got pushed to the side leaving me thinking I'm not using all my tools or not knowing if I'll get them as I progress. Any thoughts? Ahh, nevermind, put a little more time into it and am seeing the tutorial portions pop up here and there. If you don't follow the story for a little bit in the beginning, you can definitely feel a little overwhelmed and under-equipped lol
  7. Lol. This is so true and exactly what I was thinking while watching the gameplay.
  8. Does anyone know where I might be able to watch Larian's conference where they showed off Divinity Original Sin on the console?
  9. Has anyone put any time into Blackguards 2? I enjoyed the rest one and wanted to know if the second one was an improvement? Thanks for the thoughts.
  10. I have to say, when it comes to the latest Batman game, as big a fan as I am about the series, I'm thinking of just holding off and getting the Game of the Year Edition due to the amount of different DLC given out to different places that sell the game. I don't like when you feel you're not getting the full game because one place gives this and one place gives that and then there's the whole idea of the $40 season pass with what appears to be not a lot of story mission content. I just don't like the business practice of making the consumer think they need to buy the game 4 or 5 time at different places to get everything. Again, kudos to the Witcher 3 devs for their business practice and due to this, and how the game has turned out, an extra $25 for the extra 2 expansions coming seems well worth it to me.
  11. At what level should you do the expansion?
  12. Realistically when should you be playing the JoH dlc? Wait till after the story? Is it level based?
  13. I can't believe I've put about 10 hours into the game and haven't "ploughed" anyone. I must be playing it wrong lol Honestly though, really enjoying it.
  14. If you are able to, I believe it would be the square button.
  15. Is there a point where you go back to that area? Or do you just come upon it in your travels?
  16. I've been putting in some time on the PS4 version and have to say it's been a good experience. Short load times, the game looks great and plays great. Haven't noticed any framerate issues. Once in a cutscene, it slowed down, but nothing terrible. I'm honestly quite surprised by how good it looks on the console. Really enjoying the atmosphere and the voice acting. Always hard with these games as you start off in the this huge open world which pulls you from one question mark to the next, but you honestly want to play through some of the story so you can open your combat and gameplay up a little, for example with the crossbow. Pretty sure it's not a spoiler as it's been shown in every gameplay video, but the fight with the griffin I felt was a pretty great fight. Really enjoying the combat so far and all it has to over.
  17. That was pretty epic. Lol
  18. For those of you going the pc route, are you getting it on GoG or Steam? Just out of curiosity?
  19. When they say liquid do they mean smooth? Or am I thinkking of something else?
  20. I'm actually pretty excited about this. I'm nearly finished with my first playthrough and have been really enjoying the game, especially the combat, but look forward to some newer story elements or possibly hints for some quests. I really enjoy the idea of making it more oldschool and really having to think about quests and keeping track of quest givers, but sometimes when I come back to the game after not playing a week, I find myself spending too much time in my quest log wondering where I'm at lol Plus, I'll more than likely pick up the PS4 version to further support them and enjoy the game on my couch!
  21. I'll be downloading this soon enough on the PS4 after purchasing the game and expansion pass. Really excited for this release, however not the most excited about my real life May schedule. Eager to see some of your screenshots mkreku with all the graphics jacked up. After being surprised with the look and playability of GTA V on my rig, I'm not as optimistic for this release, but may pick it up when I finally update sometime later this year.
  22. Haha, I just went through this area a few hours ago after jumping back into the game after a few months break. I will say I sort of agree sometimes with not playing a game right away due to possible patches. That's not to say Pillars is broken, but when you look at the patch notes, you tend to believe waiting might make the game better. I also started Wasteland 2 upon release and am now waiting for the Unit 5 patch with perks, etc. After coming back to D:OS after playing some Pillars, I have to say that I love D:OS. The combat is fun, the quests and how they're set up are really fun, especially with the extreme lack of handholding for completing each one, and overall I like the look of the game. I do enjoy Pillars for many of the same reasons, but in a different way. D:OS just has awesome combat with it being true turn-based and having the elements mixed in. So happy for this great batch of RPGS being Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin, and Pillars of Eternity. These games combined can easily give you hundreds of hours of fun. I'm excited to try out the other two companions Larian made on my next play through.
  23. I will vouch for the cipher as a pretty decent class to play. Good "spell" user and a good tank at the same time.
  24. I just loaded up D:OS recently from a few months off and spent the first 30 minutes reading through my questlog trying to figure out where I'm at in the game and were I need to go next lol
  25. Thanks for posting this. After looking through it, I'm recognizing things I can knock down in the graphics department to have smoother gameplay without giving up much visually.
