  1. This should be fixed with today's Mac hot fix.
  2. The fix will be retroactive in the next update beta update. The first update prevented the bug from happening any further.
  3. I actually researched this upon seeing the thread and have checked in a fix. It happens on Save/Load with animal companions. The next version of the 1.05 beta patch will have this fixed (Monday/Tuesday?).
  4. The option in English is called "Auto Level Companions" in the Difficulty tab. If you want companions to start at level 1, that option needs to be unchecked.
  5. No disagreements there. However, this requires more time for people to record all of that and for the audio team to splice it all up and add it into the game correctly and verify each option. Then add a lot more money to the budget because you have to pay people to voice every line and every possible dialog response for each voice type. If you want the voices to sound good then you will need professional voice actors which increases your cost as well. All of this new audio will increase game size and requires more testing to make sure everything is working correctly as well. The more voiced text you have, the less text edits you can do once the audio has been voiced. Typically, you cannot just get said actor on the phone and tell them you changed a line or missed a line and need them to come in for 30 minutes. They usually do it all in a set block of time and that's it. More or less, you have to pick and choose where you can allocate your budget and doing every line of text as voiced would have meant ballooning the budget A LOT, or essentially cutting other features or areas of the game to make up that cost in which you then end up with less content or less polished content.
  6. Can you post a zip file of all your save games?
  7. Yeah, looks like all of your save games dated on the 29th have a TempSaveData folder in it that shouldn't be in there. That is was is corrupting your temp folders and preventing any games from being loaded. I removed the bad folder in those save games and reuploaded them here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1071568/14c4fd1a7dfc49168f01a5b18bda4b28%207967054%20TempleofEothas.savegame https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1071568/14c4fd1a7dfc49168f01a5b18bda4b28%208000043%20TheBlackHound.savegame https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1071568/14c4fd1a7dfc49168f01a5b18bda4b28%208030308%20GildedVale.savegame https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1071568/14c4fd1a-7dfc-4916-8f01-a5b18bda4b28%20autosave.savegame So, overwrite your old save files with these ones above (or just remove your saves dated last edited on the 29th). Delete all temp folders you have found on your machine and everything should load up fine once the game starts.
  8. Either of you mind posting a save game for us to look at?
  9. Yes, there are multiple save folders being used for save file management (as the post Haze mentions above notes). However, they should look exactly like the directories Haze is reporting. Not with a TempSaveData folder being in the CurrentGame folder. The TempSaveData folder should be in the directory that has "AppData\Local\" in the path, not "AppData\LocalLow". I did look at your zip folder and nothing looks out of the ordinary for a TempSaveData folder. At this point I assume what happened is something messed up with Steam Cloud syncing saves across two OS's with version 1.02. If you delete all the temp folders you are mentioning and backup and delete all of your save files (because I think those are the actual culprits here, messed up save games) then you should be able to get through a New Game session. The reason being is the game loads and caches all of your save games found on start up so if you have something wrong there it might be making bad folders when unpacking them. As mentioned earlier, if we could have a copy of all your save files (not your temp directory contents) then we can look into seeing if those are the actual problem and potentially repair them for you.
  10. The permanent health increase bug has been fixed and will retroactively fix up any affected characters. This was linked to the "Vomit Blood" ability on Guls. This will be in the official 1.04 patch (it is not currently in the beta patch version at the time of this post).
  11. Can you by change upload your output log as well? I just tried the save game provided and transitioned to Caed Nua without any problems.
  12. The endless xp bug should be fixed in 1.04 (including the beta patch). 1.04 official should be out within the next week.
  13. Could you by chance post a zipfile of all of your saves? As cRichards said, I am not seeing the folder "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\CurrentGame\TempSaveData" that you have mentioned is the culprit. I see a TempSaveData in the folder "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity" folder but everything seems to be working as intended.
  14. The Steam Cloud directory has been updated with the correct path for Linux. Thank you.
  15. You seem to be having the "Hamachi bug" where having another active virtual network adapter enabled is causing asset loading to become extremely slow in the Unity engine. This is known and we are working with Unity to find a suitable fix for a future patch. In the mean time, go to your Network Adapters and disable any that are being used for virtual networks (Hamachi, etc.). Thanks, Roby
  16. Arakiiel You're having an issue that has been reported to Unity where loading assets from disk are taking longer than they should if you have an additional VPN network adapter activated on your computer (Such as Hamachi). Try going under your network adapters list and disable any adapters that are used for virtual networks (like Hamachi). That should fix your issue. Unity has confirmed this and we are looking for a potential fix that does not require work arounds.
  17. I can load your save games fine with the latest released build. Maybe try Verifying the Integrity of the game cache in Steam to see if the update failed to download and apply properly in Steam.
  18. You're having the corrupted font crash that happens in Unity. You need to delete a corrupted font from your font directory (usually C:/Windows/Fonts/) And from the error log the font seems to have the name "Sneaker" in it. 0x002eef1c: 0000000f 1bdea2bc 00000000 0dfcdb08 ................ 0x002eef2c: 0dfcdb04 0dfcdb08 013dad70 00000012 ........p.=..... 0x002eef3c: 0000001f 009b5386 61656e53 5f72656b .....S..Sneaker_ 0x002eef4c: 69726353 01007470 0000000e 0000000f Script.......... Hope that helps. We're currently looking for a work around that we can put in that prevents this from happening.
  19. Judging by the callstack, I think you just need to Verify the Integrity of your game files in Steam.
  20. Can you post any of the save games that are not broken but are right before this happens (so either at the Stronghold or level 1 of the endless paths)?
  21. Does anyone here having this issue (and is on the latest version of the game [1.03]) mind posting save games for us to look into?
  22. Could you upload your output log and save file to a file hosting site and post the link? We can take a look at it then.
  23. Could you upload your output log and save file to a file hosting site and post the link? We can take a look at it then.
