  1. My bad mate, I thought you are talking about the Devas from the East Forest, forgot about that statue. I didn't understand if you are playing Lucas or Reinheart. Tips for Reinheart...hmm just plant GoA and teleport around while the statue takes damage and maybe you release a decoy. As for Lucas, I have no clue how things go on Hardcore. About those items, I never bothered to check if the stats work lol. Is this some indie game where you expect this kind of issues?
  2. When I talk about end-game area I am referring to the East Forest, with the Archons dropping from the sky and Devas ( or whatever they are called called ). You can access the DLC area from Stonebridge but I did not finish it then. Because I played the game before I knew the drops location and I got my Dunereaper Rifle from the Lascanzi "base" and ran to the Morloc cave ( Lascanzi Witch Quest ) to buy Desert/Viper Fang and on top of that I found a blue Necklace with 70 Doom at the shop. After that I went back to Stonebridge and continued my journey. After I released Flitch in the Spire and had access to his shop I made my uber duper Ring that had 1k+ Doom and went back to the desert in order to finish everything and maybe find more Doom Essences. After that I went to the East Forest and that's where your path is closed so you can't do anything except kill the Reborn God over and over without any reward and you can experience all the endings. But again, I was level 35 before leaving for the Swamps.
  3. I have no clue what items you are holding as Katarina, but my combo was R2+square+dodge and sometimes vs single targets R2+X. I say again at Lazar quest I did level 35 and I maxed Trill of Hunt very early, therefor it allowed me to spam Empowered Hear-seeking shot till everyone was dead. I had like 60%+ critical chance and my damage was around 5k vs. the last boss of the DLC. The fight with Jayne and her Archons was easy! Anjali died because I wanted to kill Jayne first for the trophy but it didn't work so I mass killed everyone .
  4. I have no idea how you got to the end game area at level 31 and 1.6k hp. I was level 35 after Lazar's quest and at end game with a glass cannon build I still managed to get 4k+ hp. My advice is go back to the desert and farm till you get level 35, in the meantime you may get some cool drops. As for tips for playing with Reinheart I can't help you because I despise mage class in any game, therefor I play as one very, very rarely.
  5. After Lazar Basilli quest Reinheart/Katarina go trough hardcore like Casual ( except the cheap deaths you may encounter from time to time ^^ . Maybe I will try doing Hardcore Lucas at some point but I'm tired of the game at this point.
  6. The Pillar of Fire is used like that by the NPC ( dumb AI ). All legendary drops are predetermined! As for Anjali I used some green Staff or Spear with high Attack, Assasin Arms ( drop in the desert ) and the rest plenty of green/blue items with loads of Agility because all her abilities are based on critical hits, even the healing talent. My ideea was to create an Anjali that can survive a little longer then me so she can revive me but in the end she became something kinda useful at doing damage/knockdown/resurrect.
  7. When I completed Hardcore I was with Katarina...and to be honest it was the last fight/encounter where I had tough times. In her second form the most dangerous things is those multiple spears...and I think that if you run after her, going "face 2 face" the chance for her to release those spears decreases. Apart from that I have no tips! Anyway with Lucas mostly you should expect a lot of cheap deaths. The last boss from the DLC in his second "form" hit me around 7k damage lol. After you beat Rajani make sure to go into the dungeon where the Hall of Heroes is and make level 35. I can't remember that place name...and after you have all skills/skill enchants and talents maybe you will stand a chance.
  8. Indeed Lucas is a Focus based character but still with all the strategy's you will have a very, very hard life. Stun does not work vs bosses therefor it's an unreliable static, Block again does not work vs some mini bosses/bosses again it's something you can't actually rely on. And if you play Hardcore pff...you need massive damage to kill those bosses. I just did 2 complete games, one with Lucas on Normal and the second one with Katarina on Hardcore. I have to say that Trill of Hunt is damn OP. After you get that you simply spam Empowered Heart-seeking Shot and Game Over. Even Doom is kinda weird, I still did not figure out how it actually works...my end-game build was allmost 400 attack ( I think ) but I had over 1k Doom and I was simply rolling around and spaming Empowered Heart-seeking Shot, one after another because my main stat was Agility, I have over 60%. I never used any Ultimate Abilities, still think it's pointless...and my best damage was something like 5k+ on Hardcore vs the last Boss. Overall Hardcore with Katarina was more simple then Lucas on Normal...but I already knew what to do and after I reached level 30, that was in The Hall of Heroes I had no actual challenging...well if you consider being hit 7k by the last boss in the Vault then...So Lucas is a Focus character, in order to use Focus he needs to wait ( recharge by buff ) attack/take damage, now here comes the tricky part. This game is so in-balanced that a lot of things are not working properly. First of all Armor is something LOL, on Hardcore even if you have a high Armor value you would still receive an insane amount of damage, and even if you manage to stack Armor/Retribution at what purpose? In the end you will have to kill those monsters and if you don't have Attack/Agility/Will you will be dead. Theoreticly I think Reinhardt is the most OP character in this game because he has that Eureka Skill that acts like Trill of Hunt but at a lower rate ( 10% compared to 25% ) but he has a skill that converts 50% of his Agility as damage. That is damn OP, you build critical rate and damage at the same time + Focus recharge buff+ Stun/Slow Immunity + 25% Damage Reduce if you enchant the Healing Spell and clone that takes the heat from you and your companion. In my opinion this is sick but I just played with him a bit because mages are not my cup of tea. Lucas has nothing actually good...that Dash is pretty tricky, his most AOE skill is that Earth skill but the animation is so long that you need to tank so much damage and one skill will not be enough to kill them so in the end you will be dead. And his passive skills are mostly a joke compared to Katarina/Reinhart. o.O and don't make me start on Anjali, that poor thing...
  9. I don't think anything will be done about this...Dungeon Siege III is a game based on shopping lol. There are some chests that drop "unique" stuff but it's not random. The old days of Dungeon Siege are over. And I simply can't believe there are not Set's...a lot of games in these days does not have Set Items. And this DLC did not add a crafting feature, it's just a very, very simple enchant system.
  10. I did it in 5 seconds with Lucas on Normal...Charged Strike w/Executioner enchant.
  11. My first play-trough on this DLC was on Normal with Lucas but to be honest the skills are pretty useless. First of all even at full sphere the duration of the shield is pretty low and the trade is not worth it in my opinion. The healing spell is the worst, full restore at the cost of all sphere, then what you do? Xeria's Fury deals pretty nice damage but most of the times you don't kill all enemies, therefor what you do next? The only good thing about this skills is that your companion are using them, and pretty often I can say...so overall the most useful skill for me was Xeria's Fury because some extra damage burst from your AI companion is pretty cool. I think Obsidian could make some more interesting skills because everything in the combat system is based on spheres, the most important is the healing spell and in order to release one of this skills you need to discard all your power and on Hardcore it's pretty risky and 99% of the time not worth it, I would rather have control over the battlefield by using Empowered Skills do deal extra damage+greater range+sometimes an extra static and of course healing.
  12. I have a PS3 and I had no problem with this DLC...I believe this is a dumb question but did you enter the game? I mean did you not get DLC Tutorial when you created a new character? Since I installed this DLC I did not logged to PSN so I have no idea if it appears in the DLC section ( in-game ) but then again I say that for me it worked.
  13. I want to congratulate Obsidian for this DLC, they did a nice job overall but still it lacks some critical features. First of all I want to complain about the free roam, again I say that an Action RPG should have this. Second, about difficulty level, well...it's a nice addition but finishing the game on Hardcore does not involve player skill or anything related to it. In my opinion we should had a system like Dungeon Siege II ( at least ! ) where we could find items generated in relation with the game difficulty. It's pretty frustrating to find the same items but monsters to deal double damage and have tons of extra HP. Because of this you will "live" a lot of cheap deaths and for it's not cool, nice, fun. I believe you need to get an OP character ( Reinheart because of his obscene high damage because of the OP items ) and maybe then you will have a chance. But Dungeon Siege III was not build to do this...again overall it was a nice side-quest . Cheers !
  14. Is there any way to play again or continue playing with your character after you finished the game? Can you kill some mini bosses or bosses again? Or it's just like the main game, you will get as reward some 1 minute cut-scene?
  15. Hello there, as far as I know the Playstation 3 is not region locked but some games are. So if you bought the game from korea I believe you will need to buy the DLC from korea. I think Dungeon Siege III is region blocked...
  16. Still no news about this DLC on Gamespot/IGN/Eurogamer/1UP/Obsidian/Square Enix and even PSN Stores. Maybe tonight when they will update the store they will add it. This DLC had very, very poor advertising. Only the ones that play the game on PC or follow this forum know about this DLC, otherwise it's just a ghost. -update- I did update my DS III version to 1.03 and I have the new trophes list but for now there is no DLC to download. It will hit the stores tonight, that I am 100% sure. Overall I need to say it once and again this DLC is a damn ghost.
  17. I have a feeling that it's nothing going on...not yet tho. Square Enix is not some newbie to this kind of things and the most recent example is Deus Ex Missing Link DLC. They did hype it a bit and Eidos was kind enough to even make a preview movie. Meanwhile Obsidian didn't do anything with Treasure of the Sun DLC and ok, let's forget about it but no developer signed in this forum to give us some feedback for more then 1 month. Even some hints where enough...
  18. +1 Renevent...that's why I wish Obsidian would release some in-depth information about this DLC. All I know is that level cap is increased from 30-35, new skills ( 5/class if I remember correctly ) and an enchant system. By the way this DLC it's not even in US PSN so I don't know if this is true or false. So far Obsidian nor Square Enix released anything official.
  19. Based on Microsoft the DLC is already out, today. Funny thing is that Obsidian didn't say anything and neither Square Enix. Then again I say that I wish to know more about this DLC.
  20. So what he is saying is that the month is not over yet and the DLC will be released this week? I'm pretty tired of this "puzzles" and silence.
  21. At this point I hope we will get a release date and not a delay announcement.
  22. Well I can say that 1 week left of October and still no news about this DLC...
  23. Vague but it's something. DLC is coming very soon and it should deliver plenty content. Now I'm waiting for in-depth info and official release date. Cheers !
  24. In 2002 Dungeon Siege I was released and a year after Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna. Yes the customization in that time was pretty weak but despite that we had tons and tons of unique weapons/armors. The Expansion added tons of content by the way and if you remember in Dungeon Siege I if you would play on-line you could level up to level 255 ( i hope i remember right ) and every time you would create a game monsters would spawn and because of that Dungeon Siege I had a high re-playability level and of course searching for items had a purpose. In the year 2005 Dungeon Siege II was released and let's be honest the game was to a hole new level compared to DS I. You had now skill tress and you could learn every skill you wanted there just by meeting the weapon expertise. Again tons of items, set items with extra bonuses and a crafting system. You had the possibility to play the game again for two more times on higher difficulty. Again after a year Dungeon Siege II Broken World Expansion was released and added tons of content and the cross class thing...and on top of that you had a decent-good on-line experience. Now in 2011 we get Dungeon Siege III and the rest of the story you know it. In the end how come we could see an evolution from DS I to DS II but with DS III we got a mixture of those two. Cheers !
  25. Yes it's fun to customize your character, this is the main reason we are playing Action RPG games...deep character customization, stat points, vast selection of items, in-depth item twek system, crafting system and many more. This days a lot of games lack most of this things, but spending time to level up and customize a character just to kill the final boss and as reward you get a 1 minute cinematic it's not fun. I would like to be able to play with that character even after I beat the game. I don't understand, is it too much to ask? We got this things 10 years ago and I always thought that with the passing time games of this genre will become more and more complex but in reality they have gotten worse. Dungeon Siege III is a nice game but to be honest if it was an action/adventure under a different name maybe things would be different but Dungeon Siege franchise is about something else.
