So one site names it a dream game and that means its going to sell well? Lets be realistic please. Show me data that says PS 2 will sell well and then you have a case. Otherwise its little more then opinion expressing.

6600GT can be gotten online for $180. or so. Its not like its a $600. card. This is a average card in todats market IMO. As gamers, technology moves forward and we much move forward with it. Those who want to get 5 yrs out of their video card/cpu should think of a new hobby IMO. As this is a hobby they requires an investment every 12-18 months. I understand they are aiming for the lowest common denominator to get the most sales, but that has proven to be a false theory. Look at Doom3, HL2, Sims 2, Vampire all require a above average system to run good and they have all been on the top 15 best sellers list for weeks. Thus I question the above logic by some developers. Also I point out NWN 2. Its been stated clearly they are not shooting for the lowest common denominator as NWN 1 did. No TNT2 16meg video card is going to run it.. so developers are moving in that direction. I am sad that IG has not though.

Perhaps my standards and expectations are higher then a few yrs ago.. heh

When the sequal 2 yrs later looks worse then then first I have to take issue with that. There is NO reason char models should look blocky with todays games and hardware.

There is virtually no chance if another PS game being made. a. PS:T did poor sales wise. Thus what publisher in their right mind would want to invest to loose money? b. With the sales issue aside, WotC has killed off the PS setting and not selling any more licences to produce works under it. They still hold the © to the setting even if they have no interest in doing anything with it. Either way you cut it, its a moot discussion. I am not taking away the fact it was great writting and a interesting story. But sadly as BIS found out there is no mass market for such a game.

Bought the new FF game.. While I like the story (very silver age comic book style) the dated graphics are very annoying. I read previews about the updated engine yet I think they look WORSE then the first game. If this is the kind of games that are going to be put out then I might as well return my new 6600GT card and put my old GF3 Ti200 back in. <_< With that said, the animations are VERY well done, and the voice acting is entertaining. I just wish the engine FX wise was as good as the rest of the game.

Neverwinter Nights 2 News ( www.nwn2news.net ) is proud to announce a IRC round table with leaders of the Custom Content Community. We will discuss ideas, methods, developer quotes and the challenges that lay ahead for the community moving from NWN 1 to NWN 2. We will also open the floor for those attending to Q&A the panel. People from the Custom Content Community such as Adam Miller, CODI and certain Admins/Developers from the larger Persistent Worlds have been invited to be part of the round table. Actualy that's why I'm thinking about KOTOR3 by Obsidian. KOTOR3 is no-brainer...it's selling very well on both PC and Xbox..and since LA's KOTOR3 team has been killed... who else would they hire for KOTOR3 if not Obsidian? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you were working on NWN 2 and had your own IP in the oven and could afford to pass on KoTOR3 (ie LA) wouldnt you? I know if I could pass up dealing with a publsiher with unrealistic time tables id get away from them as soon as I could. My 2 coppers

As for the first part I agree. I have only been over their a few times and its a free for all. If there are any rules they either arent enforced or they dont pertain to keeping the place friendly. That second part is funny.. heh..

As the risk of sounding like a Obsidian fanboi, if indeed they decide to close the forums, I would be happy to host some of these forums on NWN 2 News until they sort things out here. At least that way the community here would have a place to go and not disolve. And could always return if/when the forums come back. But at least it would keep you all mostly togeather. Let me know if interested.
