  1. Actually, if you go back to my first post, I said that it was the ending that killed it for me. It was the unbalanced comment that people decided to debate. Of course, I probably didn't make that clear originally. I have a bad habit of that.
  2. I have to disagree. I leveled all of my characters from level 1 to level 60ish pretty easily and quickly in chapter one. Then just enjoyed the game to the end (and the sad and poor ending ) Overall it made for a quick game.
  3. Nope. I have no idea what you're talking about. But it sounds like a bug in those games. In FFT it was a "feature"
  4. And what class is that drow?
  5. Or else you'll do what? r00fles.
  6. You could, in theory, max out your character's level on one map. Potions + rock throw = maxed out. Of course, you'd still need to grind class levels, so you'd have to do them 1/map. Broken.
  7. Maybe... because it's made by the same guy who headed FFT and the fact it IS in Ivalice.
  8. Yup. Poorly balanced. The leveling system was broken.
  9. Because it's under water.
  10. What is crap about it exactly? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> FFT, while fun, is one of the worst console strat games I've ever played. Poorly balanced, and had a really really sucktastic ending. Normally a poor ending doesn't kill the fun I had getting there, but FFT is that rare game that made me hate myself for wasting my time playing it.
  11. I'd think it would be possible to improve performance... of course I'm no programmer so I have no clue. So until I'm corrected, that's my guess.
  12. My only impression is... I hope I can get it today.
  13. I'm a completist.
  14. Nexus War. Text and icon based, but also free and fun.
  15. That could work. One note though, two levels of fighter instead of barbarian would give you a couple of bonus feats which would make qualifying for Blackguard a bit easier.
  16. Oops, I forgot part of your question. One level of fighter "might" help for the free bonus feat.. but I wouldn't think it essential. And the bonuses for being a barbarian could be useful. I guess it comes down to how much Bard do you want to be?
  17. It is a cool name. :D Ok, according to the wiki here (I forgot I packed my books so I'll have to go with this) http://www.nwn2wiki.org/Blackguard - You'll need a few prereqs in the form of an attack bonus and certain feats. As a bard you'd have to hit level 8 before you could make the switch for the +6 BAB. So that gives you some time to develop your character. The skill requirements should be no biggie for a bard. And you should be able to get the feats by then (someone correct me please if I'm wrong) So I'd think it'd be ok to make the switch as soon as you meet the pre-reqs (level without placing yourself into trouble. Note: I'm not 100% certain of that (bards and combat classes aren't my specialty and there might be further changes in NWN2 compared to the PnP), but it does sound good in theory. And would make for a pretty wicked character concept in my opinion. :D
  18. I don't have hte game yet, but I do have access to 3.5 books. Lemme go take a look and compare it to the wiki.
  19. Question. What are the in game stats for Tieflings? My memory is that they have a built in -2 to charisma. Not too much of a penalty, but might weaken your bardpowers.
  20. For the time being, please do all general NWN2 discussions within the general NWN2 thread located here: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=44561 Thanks.
  21. Well, I only suggested it because I thought it'd look cool.
  22. Hey, Volo, why not make it bold and in red. :D The spoiler warning that is. :D
