  1. Trust your kitty.
  2. Yikes. Agreed, definately a good reason to have a rouge if you're not playing one.
  3. Ah crud, I figured it was on teh page where you actually chose your race
  4. 1) Yes, if you mean the greater chance of a crit attack. 2) Yes, you can take the Eldritch Knight prestige class and gain a fighters attack with a spellcasters spellcasting levels added. 3) Dunno, haven't done this yet.
  5. Awesome. How did you switch between planetouched races?
  6. I couldn't bring myself to. ....well... that and I was so excited to finally play I forgot
  7. Ack I hope it can be fixed. You've got the D2D version, correct?
  8. Heya.
  9. Nifty I've got access to the Complete Mage. It was pretty cool. This one should be also.
  10. Finished the tutorial and the Impressions.... - Character creation - I seem to have hit a bug, I can't change subrace on any character I choose. Good thing I almost always play humans. " - Tutorial - I hate tutorials.... always have. That said, this one was darn fun. It even made me laugh a few times. Definately more interesting than the one in NWN also. - Combat - It's ok, easy and useful. - Camera - I love it. It's a little awkward at times, but it's not hard to control, so I find it useful. - Gameplay - So far so good. I like how they've changed inventory and some skill uses. - Character - I'm having a blast playing a Warlock. Now all I need to know is... can I enchant items as a warlock? I'm assuming I can, but I'm a little fearful of wasting a feat slot and not being able to do it. - Bugs - The vocals like to cut quickly between tracks, sometimes cutting off the last few sounds of a line of text. Beyond that... nothing. - Overall - Lots of fun so far. The two hours of patching Have already been made up for.
  11. 7G?? Good thing for file compressions. The patch is 82MB compressed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it's space that's needed for files the patching process is using. Since most of the files are Zips, I'm guessing it needs to unzip them, patch, and then zip them again. I'm starting to regret partitioning this drive into 20gig bites
  12. Whew... it worked. 7gb to install a patch? Ah well, if the game is fun it'll be worth it. Special thanks to Riftworm for convincing me to go through that again.
  13. This would be the third time, but I'll try again. I was looking at the bioboards and came across something that said you need 7gb of free space on the drive to patch I'll free up some space and try once more.
  14. It downloaded it. It installed 96% of it. Then hit a file called VO.Zip and then choked.
  15. It won't cause any problems now that I've already patched 96% of the patch data?
  16. Well... seems I need a "critical rebuild" file that doesn't currently exist. And so my experiences with Neverwinter Nights 2 comes to an end.
  17. Thanks Diamond. On the game front... I've already had the patch fail once at 96%. Gotta download it again it seems.
  18. Installation went well. I'm not sure what Microsoft.NET is or why it needed to install it... but... I guess it's ok. Now to patch it and see what happens.
  19. Second impression... paper sleeves. At least the manual is thick. Though NWN's was spiral bound, wasn't it?
  20. Sure I can, because it's an opinion. In this case, mine. And I could do the same thing farming random battles and only attacking with Throw stone. And since randoms are at your level, that's hardly fighting what amounts to Kobolds.
  21. You can say that five or six more times.
  22. You know, according to 2nd edition, that breaks class/race restrictions to. " Only male drow can be Magic Users, while female drow are Clerics. "
  23. WooHoo! (w00t) I got it! :D DVD version too.
  24. Ramza, I understand that you love FFT, but I'm not "blaming" anything for anything. To the question of what I feel is wrong with FFT, the two things are the leveling system (to a small degree) which I feel is also unbalanced and the ending (to a very large degree) which left me with a very negative impression. Also, using an in game system to level is "not" cheating. As for the speed of my advancement, until you've done the exact same thing, you can't really know. Use that skill that gives +1 attack power and it happens even faster since you don't have to deal with the attack animations.
