  1. I want to train a wookie jedi then. Please let there be a force sensitive wookie. (w00t)
  2. Wow. I'm amazed. I'm from South Korea currently living in San Francisco.
  3. Dex scores " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought strength scores increased chance to hit for melee weapons? For Ranged weapons dexterity increases chance to hit?
  4. I think the combat overall in KotOR was pretty easy. My character was pretty much hitting well even with two ordinary lightsabers. If you were a guardian, You could get really high Str. scores later on and that kinda ruled any penalties out.
  5. Just a question for the people knowledgable on D20 rules. How skilled is a level one character compared to an ordinary joe? In KotOR 1, the Trask Ulgo, the first NPC you encounter, says you're a highly skilled soldier/scoundrel/scout even when you're level one. Are the basic feats and skills you receive at character creation considered the result of many years of training?
  6. No, it will not stop me from buying the game and most likely throughly enjoying it multiple times....that sounds unintentionally sexual. However, I would like the male NPCs to be more masculine. Hey if Nur Ab can gripe about Revan being a wuss, I can gripe about this! :D
  7. sorry bout double post
  8. I was browsing through the new KOTOR 2 site today and downloaded some wallpapers. Is it just me or do the two guys in the wallpaper, the blonde guy and Atton Rand,....look extremely gay? They look like pretty boys not like hardened space adventurers out to save or conquer the galaxy. Geez, they look like they'd rather be smoothing their hair then firing a blaster. The female NPCs look more menacing. I have no complaints about Bao Dur or Madalore, they'll most likely be totally badass. But come on....give Atton a scruffy beard and hardened glinting eyes. The kind of eyes that are always on the lookout for threats and danger. Lose the perfectly combed blonde hair for the other guy. Make it rough and scraggily, like he has more important things to think about than making his hair look good. And give them some more weight! They look emaciated and weak.
  9. I've always wondered why no one tried that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know....but don't laser beams fly really really really fast? Not slow in SW mode? In Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy you could force push back rockets and other things (which was really fun).... maybe bullets would be ineffective as well.
  10. I found Taris pretty interesting the first time around. Probably because I was so infatuated with the entire game. I think Peragus will be great too, simply because of my anticipation. It is the start of a totally new grand adventure after all
  11. I always thought his name was Freedom. I remember thinking, "Wow, what an odd name for a Sith." I wonder who comes up with those names.
  12. Guardian then Jedi Weapons Master I like making the lightsaber noises too much when I play the game.
  13. Who is Vergere? More importantly, how do you pronounce, 'Vergere'?
  14. i hate Kyle "Here Luke take my lightsaber" Katarn. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But...But...He has a beardand moustache! He fought lightsaber wielding dinosaurs! He cut an old blind dude in half! You've gotta give him points for cutting an old blind dude in half.
  15. I don't care if I have to run around butt naked. As long as I get a hood and cape very very soon.
  16. More delays simply means LA has crunched some numbers and ran statistics and decided that if the PC version is delayed there are more profits in for them. Probably from owners of both XboX and PC, who decide that they can't wait. Microsoft is pushing XboX pretty hard and they probably wouldn't want to release a product that might take away from XboX sales simultaneously either. Its probably the financially smart thing to do. Ahh what the hell, I have to study until then anyways. *SOB*
  17. I just hope I don't cringe when I hear his voice.
  18. Kyle Katarn Awesome Saberist, Wisecraker, Anti-Authoritarian and has a hot girlfriend.(though you can't tell in Jedi Knight 2)
  19. Why bother when you can cut off their hands? It would be simpler and more effective, not to mention time saving.
  20. Yes, that's the only conclusion I could rationally think of. Obviously Sidious had him working overtime and was sending him out to buy coffee and ice cream for those all night, Let's Take Over the Galaxy, planning sessions.
  21. Care Bears! I can just imagine Sidious reeling from horror as the much too happy care bears shower him with care bear hugs and smiles. And Shadowfax! I loved how Maul killed Qui-Gon. It was a piece of art! Slowly getting Qui used to continuous left and right attacks, then BLAM! Maul pushes Qui Gon's saber up, hits him on the nose and then a quick spin and stab. A stab, simple and deadly, a mark of a true master fighter. hehe Maul did just stand there! I was like, "WTF? WTF? WTF!!!?"
  22. Saber Whips....cool idea. Has anyone seen Shaolin Monks dual wield whips before? It's extremely crazy. All you can hear are the whipping sound and all you can see are the blazing fast blurs of leather. I would not want to get stuck somewhere in there. I always wanted to see short knife like lightsabers for throwing. The handle could be specially weighted to get a nice spin going. Imagine a Jedi throwing a few of those saber knives simultaneously with both hands, then using the force to quickly retrieve them...then spinning around to a different direction and throwing them again, all the while avoiding blaster bolts like crazy.
  23. Seriously, Darth Maul is the most underplayed character in Star Wars. The lightsaber duel sequence in TPM is much faster and better choreographed then the The Clone Wars. I'm betting Ray Park who is a great martial artist, had a hand in creating the sequence. They should have hired him to help choreograph the saber duels in The Clone Wars. The Clone Wars saber duel sequence was awful. I was expecting lighting fast thrusts with Dooku's rapier style like fighting. I hardly saw any fencing techniques, just slashing. Obi wan seemed to have slowed down too. In TPM he was fast, blocking Maul's extremely quick attacks coming at him from all angles. In Clone Wars he just jumps around and twirls his saber around a few times. Anakin was darn awful too. Most people seem to think the dual saber style was great, but all he did was a simple spin and back again with the sabers moving on set paths. Then he stands stock still for 2 seconds while he waits for Dooku to lumberously turn and deliver a diagonal upwards stroke, cutting off his arm. They should have practiced more. Maul would have killed them. He seamlessly integrates punches and kicks with his saber moves and attacks from behind and forward and all over. Like ShadowFax said, all he had to do was hold his frikken saber horizontally over Obi's head when he jumped from the hole. It was like George Lucas said, "Ok you've served your purpose, die now." Yes I was dissapointed when Maul died. If you were going to kill him off, they should have hired a less talented martial arts actor to play him. Then I could believe he wasn't really all that powerful.
  24. I have to agree with Nur Ab Sal on the visual universe Bioware created. I prefered the visuals portrayed in the comics(Tales of the Jedi) as more fitting in depicting the galaxy 4000 years before the movies. While KotOR is a great game with cool characters and a great storyline,(sorry Nur Ab Sal, I enjoyed the storyline and Reven immensely ) the graphics show a extremely modern looking world, with weapons, ships and clothing flashier and more streamlined than those in the movies. The comics on the other hand show us a world with archaic but powerful looking ships with ridges and spires protruding from them. The characters are also dressed in flowing robes and the many of the jedi don gauntlet like gloves and thick shoulder pads and partial armor for their torsos and legs. Their lightsabers possess a more archaic look as well. Overall the comics give us a world that makes us believe these really are ancient times compared to the SW movies. I was hoping for visuals akin to the comics in KotOR, but I still enjoyed the graphics in the game as well. I suppose they would seem anachronistic to those who enjoyed the visuals of the comics. I guess Bioware was aiming for mass appeal and wanted gamers not familiar with EU to feel that they were in the SW world they are familiar with.
  25. I think that was Naga Sadow who blew up a star. Exar Kun didn't use only his power to defeat the Jedi Army. He, through the power of the Sith Temples, drew all the life energies from the entire Massassi race on the planet, united those energies with his own and then amplified them through the temples at the Jedi. So it took the death of an entire race of Massassi and the amplifying powers of the temple to face the Jedi army. An impressive feat by itself no doubt. From what I remember from the comics, Exar really didn't impress me much. He spent the first parts moaning to the ghost of Naga Sadow and then he cries to his old master, suddenly inherits the secrets of the Sith and thinks he's the MAN then at the end cries out scared to Ulic when he traps himself in the dark. Then thousands of years later, he's smacked down by Luke's apprentices when touch some lightsabers to his shadowy self. Sure he was powerful but also deluded by his own power....which ultimately makes him not so powerful.
