Nah, Batman is just so adept at fighting that he positions himself after every move that there's always a dazed baddie between himself and the next potential threat. The attacking baddie has no choice but to try and go around his buddy to attack, at which point Batman has already taken out someone else and positioned himself elsewhere. So it just looks like they're attacking him one at a time. That's how it plays out in my head at least.

Doesn't the whole reaper strategy depend on taking over the mass effect relays? Divide and conquer since despite being technologically superior they can't take on the entirety of whatever galactic civilization has come to power. It seems foolish that they'd alert the galactic government to their presence while hitting a relatively minor target in Earth(compared to the rest of the galaxy) instead of an attack on the citadel. Sovereign nearly conquered the place by himself last time. An army of reapers should have no problem. Even the council won't be able to refute the existence of the Reapers if they attack Earth. They'll start taking all of Shepard's intel seriously, develop countermeasures to the brainwashing, develop better weapons, gather the Turian, Asari, Krogan, Salarian forces, probably ally with batarians and other non-council races. By the time the Reapers get done with Earth, they'll be facing the entire galaxy, still in control of the relays. I dunno, seems like a bad plan, but maybe they know something I don't. I hope they do. I hope the 'reaper counterattack' on Shephard doesn't consist of one reaper swallowing the Normandy after Shephard has visited 3 of the 4 planets he needs to visit to gather the magic mcguffin/allies.

I remember you could get some special items off the Rodian based in Yavin if you beat him in Pazaak a certain number of times.

do Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Shadow of the Colossus and Tomb Raider count? Sands of Time and Shadow of the Colossus are classics no doubt. As for the Tomb Raider games, I'm assuming you mean the more recent ones? The only one I played was Underworld, and I had a lot more fun with the both Uncharted games. Uncharted has better climbing, shooting, characters, set pieces and action imho of course.

Kinda sounds like the beginning of Halo 2. Wasn't there some super secret thing that just happened to be buried under Earth that the bad guys wanted? I would have rather have had the final battle in some mysterious place in the galaxy. I guess I've seen futuristic Earth destroyed so many times in various media that the thought doesn't really fill me with excitement. I hope Bioware can add a sense of real urgency to the game. If the reapers just chill while Shephard goes around mining for minerals, solving local grievances, falcon punching news reporters, picking up Serrice Brandy and seducing every female he comes across, well they deserve to lose. I would like to see the Reapers take over whole sections of the galaxy with the rest of the galaxy getting glimpses of the genocide that is happening. Mission structures where you're constantly fighting losing battles, sabotaging entire cities to take out one reaper, frantic evacuation of populace missions, hold the line missions, even infiltrating active reapers, all the while trying to find the magic macguffin that will destroy the reapers, or at least break the cycle, would be entertaining in my book. Let the speculation begin.

Yeah, the Roman Catholic oppression of Florida was a dark time in history. Isn't that Scientology? -
I added King's Bounty and the Tomb Raider game to my cart. Should I give CoD 4 a try? Just to see what all the fuss is about.

The grip on her sword seems really cumbersome.

I have a copy of Beyond Divinity somewhere. I could never get into it. The black knight was extremely annoying for some reason.
-
... What?! Not sure what you are going here, but you only need to pop in either of the Mass Effect games (never mind the fishy CoDs) to be able to tell that a lot of attention is paid to audio design. I mean, spending 3000

Dragon Knight Saga it is. I did really like the first Divinity.

I'm thinking of purchasing either Dragon Knight Saga, Risen or Arcania: Gothic 4. Leaning towards Dragon Knight Saga currently. Which game has the most interesting story?
-
I like it too. As entertainment. But what really always gets me is when people talk about Indy 4 like its the worst movie of all time but completly forget temple of doom. 2&4 have both equal theyre bad and good parts. Also Marion & Indy Jr. > Annoying Lady & Annoying kid ... And thats completly off-topic. How can you not like DATA? Not the Star Trek one.
-
Or the Illusive Man. You know, that sounds like an interesting game.

I was always partial to using the death spell on lower level enemies. Satisfying to see their souls cry out for an instant before disappearing.

My plan exactly.

I need to have complete control over where I place my fireball! Top down is optimal for this. So Sad.

I was trying to get to the Fort, not realizing it was impossible until you got to a certain point in the story, when I stumbled onto that place across the river. Fortunately I had a Gauss Rifle and a high score in energy weapons so I was able to clear it out no problem.

I'm ok with shooters, not my favorite type of game anymore, but I'm interested to see what Bioware can do with it. I hope they don't make it strictly shooter, as in just guns. I enjoyed ME2 as a Vanguard and Adept the most and I think Bio did a great job implementing force power like mechanics into a shooter style game. I hope it's not the First Contact War. We'd fight nothing but Turians and then the Council steps in and makes everyone play nice. But did they say explicitly that it is new IP? A spinoff in the ME universe wouldn't be new IP.
-
What? No top down view? That makes me sad. They better make the ceilings super interesting.

Moved on to Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Definitely the best action game series I've played. Controls are fluid, enemies are deadly and combat is awesome. I wish they would remake the NES Ninja Gaidens using this engine. Give the story some new depth, better characterizations, make Ryu more human with his relationship with Irene, instead of the ruthless killing murder machine he is now. I would buy it in an instant. Instead they're making a prequel to the current series. I hope Ryu doesn't go all emo.

A quick Google search resulted in a few articles saying Tim Schafer wanted to make it but has yet to find funding/publisher. Psychonauts 2 would be great.
