How was that bad? It's been a while and I can't remember feeling anything negative about it. Beat Boss. You win. Kthxbye. Which reminds me that Dark Messiah's ending was pretty horrible as well. I forget exactly, but you could be possessed by a succubi or something right?

I second the ending for FF6 and Prince of Persia, Two Thrones. The whole escape sequence of FF6 and the ending were really great. The Two Thrones ending made everything come together nicely in a full circle and I thought it was a fitting ending for the Sands of Time Prince. I really enjoyed the ending for the more recent cel-shaded PoP as well. Tugged on the heartstrings it did. The endings for the NES Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 always have a special memory for me. After hours of grueling platforming and action the ending was great for the time. Super Metroid! The final boss battle, the frenetic escape. Great stuff. Of course Torment.

Which reminds me I still need to finish Drakensang. I could never get into it for some reason, but time to give it another go. I think it was the weird shuffling running animation and awkward translation that threw me off. Most other parts of the game I really liked. I know, stupid reasons to stop playing game. How is Divinity 2 overall? I was thinking of buying it on Steam. I love the original Divine Divinity but couldn't get into Beyond Divinity. I heard its more like a sequel to the original? Most importantly is the scorpion trap skill still in place?

Assassin's Creed 2 on PS3. I still find it a bit repetitive like the original, but overall the side quests are much better integrated into the overall story arc so it seems less like a chore. The setting and music are really superb and my favorite part of the game was walking around Venice and Florence just taking in the atmosphere while listening to the music. I dig the story although the whole I do like how they integrated parts of history into the game, giving it an eerie, mystical quality. The free-running and climbing through some amazingly reconstructed locales are the best parts of the game. I think the assassination part of the game needs some work. When you're trying to assassinate a target in plain view, in public, the hide in plain sight mechanism is great. There is a thrill in sneaking up on your target mixed in with a crowd of people, or getting closer using overhead rafters and rooftops. The problem is when you're trying to navigate through restricted areas where guards are on high alert. Since the game lacks a sneak system using shadows/obstacles/crouching (you can't crouch) its frustrating having Ezio get caught just because he can't crouch and hide against a low wall or furniture. The combat is unchanged using the same timing mechanism as the original. You do get a bunch of more weapons and the kill animations are still satisfying to watch. The poison kill is the best. Overall amazing game and I'll most likely pick up Brotherhood when it comes out. Obsidian, could you license the AC2 engine and just make a huge city and make that a base for a RPG? The setting could be like Lionheart! But please don't make it like Lionheart in every other respect.

Wow, I wish I had nearly as much fun as Crimson seems to be having.

For the PC version, I think you hold 'F' and then move the mouse.

New Vegas is eating hours of my life. Just finished Vault 11. Awesome job Obsidian.

Does the game still have to load just to bring up power and skill upgrade screens? Do you still have to hit stormtroopers 10 times with your lightsaber to kill them? Those were the two major annoyances I had with the first one. I thought the story was passable and other gameplay elements enjoyable. The best part was when you played as Vader in the beginning flinging wookies around.

Got my hands on some PS3 games. Worked my way through PoP: Forgotten Sands. Platforming was great with the new powers, but combat was dumbed down into button mashing. I always liked the combat from Sands of Time and Warrior Within, so I was hoping to see something interesting. Still great atmosphere, music and platforming. Few hours into New Vegas. I was wandering around Goodsprings when I saw some DO NOT ENTER signs, which promptly made me enter. Got massacred by some giant red flies so I'm wandering in the opposite direction for a bit. So far so good.

I'll most likely buy it play it and enjoy it. I did wish that Hawke had more creation options and was a silent protagonist, but that won't stop me from enjoying the game. I'm replaying ME2 now as a Vanguard and I'm having a whole lot of fun. Just make the gameplay varied and interesting, present interesting choices and give me hints to the my Warden character and his allies and what the future of the world holds in store for them and Hawke. Looking forward to it.

When I was taking Organic Chemistry I found this guy's videos really helpful. He explained everything clearer than my professor did. Go down to the O-chem section and you'll find links to youtube with recordings of his tutoring sessions. His videos plus book learning helped me excel in O-chem. http://www.freelance-teacher.com/videos.htm

I laughed when Bobby Lee made an appearance. I guess he's the alien? I couldn't sit through the whole thing. I also wish them the best of luck. Not my type of Korean music though. To me the whole thing seemed awkward, but then again I find that entire category of Korean 'dance music' awkward. I think JYP(the producer) should try to break into the market with better written music instead of the all flash no substance type music like in the video. I mean there is actually good Korean music out there. He seems to target the tween audience entirely too much. But then again, he probably has a better vibe on the music industry in general and is a good businessman, so who knows? What I've been listening to recently. A remake of a hit Korean song from some time back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pdiBMBnRlY...feature=related

Why would they get rid of top down view? I played all the battles that way and it was fun and easy to issue orders. "While we likely won't pull as far up as we did in DA:O, I have always felt that the key to tactical play was actually freeing your camera from the character you're controlling to issue precise orders, which is what we're tuning now. So, this means you can still maneuver the camera around the battlefield and issue orders from a remote location, just as you could in Origins." Reading that it seems like you'll be able to take the camera where you want it, instead of having it fixed on your selected character. I'm all for that and it looks like top down view is still there. Guess I'll wait for the trailer.

I played through the campaign and those are pretty much my feelings exactly. The main story was good but the side missions diluted the overall tightness. I agree it should have been more linear. The gameplay was great.

Think you mean Diablo 3 right? I have no idea, but when it comes out we can both ruin our social lives together.

No, just to peeps who haven't played it. Different tastes I guess, I loved the defense mission for the Terrans. The first time I played the that mission, I was nearly overrun at the last minute and it was awesome when the dropships came in just as my last bunkers were destroyed. I didn't feel the missions were overly long, but it might have been due to playing multiplayer first, so I had worked out some viable strategies and build orders that sped the process up. You didn't find the story interesting though? Its been done before, but I found it entertaining.

I'm planning to get my boxed copy tomorrow. I'm pretty excited. I'm going to play through the story missions first because I really want to see how the story unfolds. I'll jump on Battle.net for a few games after that.

I suggest giving the original Starcraft a whirl. It has a pretty good story and some great characters. All the story missions flow into each other so the endings of the previous race's campaigns affect how the next campaign will start. It also has a very RPGish feel because you're not some god-like entity giving orders from above. For the Terran, you're a new commander, for the Zerg, a favored cerebrate and for the Protoss you are the new Executor of the fleet, replacing the dishonored Tassadar for communicating with the Dark Templar. All the other characters recognize you and call you by those titles, so you feel more invested and part of the story. There are some great missions where you are only controlling a few units and are tasked with breaking into research centers and such. The game came out when I was living in Korea, so I was swept up into the whole pvp scene, but when I had some time to myself I tried playing some the single player and the story pretty much hooked me. I've been waiting to see what happens for a long time now and am pretty glad that Blizzard split the story into three separate games so they can do each race justice.

I'm gonna do my best and resist installing all my IE games again. Keep telling myself Starcraft 2 will be out tomorrow. I usually play with a rolling group of characters. I usually pick up Keldorn then let him go at the end of his personal quest. Korgan I keep around if I'm playing an evil character. Aerie I just leave in the tent. Jaheira I escape the dungeon with and usually keep her until the end of the game, but don't romance. Last time I played there was this mod that allowed you to resurrect Khalid after the final battle in ToB, which I happily did. I always thought they made a great pair. Valygar I pick up for his quest then usually drop. Likewise with Cernd, Anomen, Nalia, Mazzy and Haer Dalis. I never found them too interesting. Minsc and Boo are always there. Yoshimo I usually take to Spellhold for storyline purposes. I usually end up with PC, Imoen, Viconia, Edwin, Minsc and Jaheira. (I use mods so that Minsc and Edwin don't go at it.) Hmm..who did I miss...ah, Jan Jansen I sometimes take in place of Imoen, but usually Imoen wins out. I switch between bringing Jaheira and Sarevok in ToB according to the area I'm visiting. Damnit, I'm installing again. Curse you Tigranes!
