  1. http://twitter.com/#!/ChrisAvellone/st...839558454132737 Fallout-related? Or maybe MCA is pitching Obsidian's new IP?
  2. You can save by pressing 'E', I believe.
  3. I'm picking up a retail copy tomorrow. Yay!
  4. I don't think I'm spoiling the second book but...let me just say that you will LOVE Season 2. You'll be seeing a lot of Tyrion.
  5. My thoughts on the finale (stolen from SomethingAwful): Bring on Season 2!
  6. Destructoid: 7.5/10
  7. Comes across more positive than I expected of the score. Has some Reinhart info I was unaware of. He's got a dead zone between his regular attacks. Yup. Matt MacLean said that Reinhart's deadzone makes him very tricky to play. CVG: 7.9/10 Interesting that he lists bugs as a negative. Unless I can't read well, the review doesn't go into a whole lot of detail about bugs or glitches.
  8. The game looks and runs great on my old PC. Windows 7 P4 3ghz (single core) 2 GB RAM ATI Radeon HD 4650 512mb
  9. Brutal Gamer: 8.5/10
  10. NowGamer: 8/10
  11. So apparently Sean Bean will appear in the season finale.
  12. I just dropped by spotting Ziets post, which should be above my post, while idly browsing since my skimming radar hadn't spotted any new info in this board but thanks for pointing me to the review, which is refreshingly nicely written. No problem. Apparently the embargo ends on Wednesday, 9 AM PST. The guy who interviewed Nathaniel Chapman on SuicideGirls will be doing a review as well. His thoughts on the game (from SomethingAwful):
  13. Items do change your appearance. Just sayin'
  14. Umm...I'll just leave this here. Dungeon Siege III TV Spot
  15. Dave Oshry Twitter And here's two impressions of his at Ripten. Dungeon Siege III - A Polished and Bug-free Obsidian RPG and Dungeon Siege III Has "Insane" Shadow Quality Settings Looking good, Obsidian! Jim Sterling Twitter
  16. the armors of the last pic looks awesome. I like Jeyne's armor.
  17. GamaGanda: 8.8/10 Never heard of the site but I know he's finished the game judging by the screenshots. Note: screenshots are spoilery!
  18. From what I've seen (And I spoilered myself already a lot). Don't expect that. It won't go into depth as much as MOTB is but its still very good. Especially the moral ambiguity of some of the stuff impressed me. Ahhh, that's too bad. Good to know that the story will be good, especially for an ARPG. Yeah, I stopped myself after seeing Jeyne Kassynder in-game.
  19. You are describing Dungeon Siege as "deep and detailfull"?! Wow.. I am speechless. That's kind of what I was thinking too. DS1's combat was bland as hell. Melee and Range had no options or abilities other than Right Click to Attack. Nature/Combat magic was a bit better in that regard with a wide range of spells but again, combat was simply autoattack. The game was more or less an interactive screensaver. Right Click to Win, indeed. DS2 was a bit better in that regard by adding skill trees and special powers, giving more customization for your characters. From what the devs have said of DS3, the game will have tons of customization, just done differently from other ARPGs.
  20. I didn't like DAO's combat at all so the Deep Roads were a nightmare for me (although I'm a huge fan of the old IE games). Yeah, ARPGs essentially boil down to loads and loads of hack and slash gameplay but I think what keeps me playing an ARPG as opposed to DAO is the loot and more engaging combat mechanics. If combat is satisfying enough, filler tends to be less of an issue. IMHO, of course. Indeed, I'm expecting a great story as well. Will George Ziets be able to top MOTB? I hope so.
  21. Indeed. I've never finished DAO or DA2 simply because there's too much filler. *The Deep Roads and the Fade broke me*
  22. Even though I've read the books multiple times, watching episode 9 was heartbreaking. Here's everyone's favorite Game of Thrones reviewer with to Episode 9. Language is NSFW.
  23. Lucas is voiced by Crispin Freeman (Gann from MOTB) if I recall.
  24. Yeah, I thought the Droog were great as well. Very non-generic race as far as fantasy goes. I believe it was confirmed that the Krug were extinct in one of the previews. I'll try to find it. They are extinct according to a magical door in the Gunderic Mansion. So I wouldn't say its 100% that they are never to be seen again or couldn't be brought back. Oh, the Rukkenberry Pie door! I totally forgot about that. Yeah, I guess it's not totally confirmed then. Thanks, C2B. @ hopfrog - Here's the scene. Don't forget too that in the first game everyone thought the Seck had been exterminated as well... You and I know how that ended up. =P That settles it. I hope there's a "Revenge of the Krug" quest in the game.
