  1. Man, I love those 90's Spurs fiesta colorways! #AlamoDomeForever
  2. 40 pts off the bench and 17 in OT off a sprained knee and ankle. Wardell Stephen Curry II is just ridiculous.
  3. 237 million to 1 odds will still get you a winner.
  4. http://www.redbull.com/en/games/stories/1331793021713/tyranny-rpg-interview-with-brian-heins New interview. Shooting for 25 hours.
  5. Cool they took the Tower of Joy sequences word for word (going by my memory). Even if Gerold Hightower wasn't Arthur Dayne's companion, atleast he got the shout out from Pycelle. Didn't figure The Sword of the Morning to be a dual wielder. Did we see Ice and Dawn?
  6. Little did he realize 22 years and 100lbs later that he'd find himself greeted by an empty dugout after going yard for the first time.
  7. Civil War was not outright terrible like the previous Avengers movie, and I had a decent enough time...but as far as blockbuster spectacles go...I preferred Supes v Bats, The Force Awakens, and especially Fury Road far more.
  8. Bruce, there's obviously a vast gulf between what you think is appropriate and inappropriate between S.A. and the U.S and the realities. In the U.S., making such a post would potentially get you stigmatized and could get you all sort of grief in your personal life; potentially lose you your job (depending on the sector); and suffer through all sorts of harassment --emotional and physical. You'd probably need protection. However, you're not going to jail. First Amendment --free speech. You can be a racist jackass on Facebook, and suffer the consequence of posting it...but not go to jail. This dude was dumb --and knowing the situation in S.A. --he obviously should not have written it for obvious reasons. But to me, getting incarcerated for expressing unfiltered opinions (that are not threatening murder, crime, or the violent overthrow of government) is a violation of basic human rights in a free and open democracy.
  9. Let's not kid ourselves. Coulter originally came into national prominence precisely because of her looks combined with her inflammatory commentary.
  10. I'm not following? Ryan is a Republican The order of succession: President --> Vice President --> Speaker of the House ... So if say President Clinton got impeached and thrown out of office, then VP Sanders becomes POTUS. But then, what if he gets a heart attack as soon Clinton is removed from office --and before he could officially name a VP? Boom. President Paul Ryan.
  11. Bruce. Bernie Sanders is 74. Hillary Clinton is 69. This is the likeliest scenario for a Paul Ryan Administration.
  12. Do you mind sharing why you dont want him to be VP? I am interested in how Sanders supporters will see this? I would lose some respect for him* and as Leferd said he is better off in the Senate since the VP spot is usually to shore up a weakness, reach a demographic, or groom a successor and doesn't have much real power My current pick would probably be Tulsi Gabbard even though Julian Castro is the favorite but like I said I would hope the VP would come from the Sanders camp *probably the same for Elizabeth Warren but not to the same degree Gabbard would be an interesting choice. I personally like her, but she broke from the ranks. Party discipline and all. She'll be in the penalty box for a while. If there's a takeaway the Dems can learn from the GOP meltdown, they can't allow willful insurrection to take hold.
  13. Not happening. Nor should it. Sanders would be more effective in the Senate as that crazy gadfly Uncle from Vermont calling out whatever needs to be said, as opposed as a tamed mouthpiece taking orders from the administration. That and well...the Dems need a more...youthful up and comer to develop the benchfor 2020 and beyond. But I'm wondering if Sanders cannot be the nominee the threat of Trump becoming president will create this Clinton\Sanders alliance Sanders to me seems to be the most sincere candidate, he really seems to believe what he says...and the thought of Trump becoming president would be anathema to someone like him? My not so hot take: Hillary Clinton won the 2016 November General Election when Donald Trump and Ted Cruz became the leading GOP candidates.
  14. Whitney Houston got robbed at the 1987 Grammys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMqqC8hCGVM There's no way Steve Winwood's Higher Love is a better record than Greatest Love of All.
  15. Not happening. Nor should it. Sanders would be more effective in the Senate as that crazy gadfly Uncle from Vermont calling out whatever needs to be said, as opposed to being a tamed mouthpiece taking orders from the administration. That and well...the Dems need a more...youthful up and comer to develop the bench for 2020 and beyond. Tom Perez, Julian Castro, Tim Kaine, and Sherrod Brown would fit. Elizabeth Warren is very unlikely, though a bold choice.
  16. It's a little old, but for what it's worth, this is the best reporting I've seen regarding an overview regarding Emailgate: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/how-clintons-email-scandal-took-root/2016/03/27/ee301168-e162-11e5-846c-10191d1fc4ec_story.html
  17. I think we're talking about different things here. I am talking about the fracturation of homogenous societies into heterogenous ones and the shift of financial and political power to outside ones borders and its corresponding natural response to it. Felt there was a disconnect. To paraphrase: I wrote, "won't somebody please think of the children?" and posted music videos on teaching them well. You asked, Teach them what?" Regarding the international finance/globalization/mass migration and geopolitics in general--I'm not qualified to speak intelligently about such matters. I'll leave that to the experts like Hillary Clinton.
  18. That's why you emphasize educating children at a young age to be civic minded. They may not grasp differential equations but teaching the difference from right and wrong behavior is a relatively simple process especially when minds are young and impressionable.
  19. The Golden Rule is a good start. It's simple and easy to memorize. More advanced reading for those who like practical real world application of games theory: http://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Cooperation-Revised-Robert-Axelrod/dp/0465005640
  20. Won't somebody please think of the children?
  21. Best guess is that the delay is due to it probably being garbage in its original, submitted state and in need of heavy-handed editing. As good a video game writer MCA is, he's still a novice prose writer.
  22. Lols. OK Volo.
  23. You also live in a place where "ethnic" violent crime is unusual. Where you live most crime has an economic motive. It's a little bit of a different story when a insular ethnic group begins comitting violent crimes and the police are ordered to back off and let it happen. The order is not in those many words but the outcome is the same. The problem here is that when criminal behavior is not punished and steps are not taken to prevent it from law enforcement which is supposed to be dispassionate it will be done by the "people" who cannot be dispassionate. Then the ugly things like blaming all immigrants for the crimes of a few start to happen. I haven't looked into it much, but are these Sons of Odin types really even forming in communities that have a lot of immigrants or Muslims? I mean, neo-nazi groups tend to form in places that are predominantly white and poor. Are they a neo-nazi group? They claim they aren't. The only proof I saw in that article that they are is that some of it's members are KKK and Neo-nazis. And so, that makes it somewhat better? They are a hate group. Period. Trump's words are xenophobic and sexist. He is a narcissist pig who cares more about building his brand than responsible governance or debate. He is the least qualified presumptive major party nominee for the office of the President and his very candidacy is bringing out the worst in America to come out of the woodwork --inspiring hate groups that explicitly target minorities with real and tangible threats.
  24. That sucks, TN. My condolences.
  25. I don't see a problem with immigrants or Muslims to begin wth. Then again, I happen to be related by marriage to Middle Easterners and come from an immigrant family, myself. And I live in a place of significant cultural/ethnic/religious intermingling.
