Let's not kid ourselves. Coulter originally came into national prominence precisely because of her looks combined with her inflammatory commentary.

I'm not following? Ryan is a Republican The order of succession: President --> Vice President --> Speaker of the House ... So if say President Clinton got impeached and thrown out of office, then VP Sanders becomes POTUS. But then, what if he gets a heart attack as soon Clinton is removed from office --and before he could officially name a VP? Boom. President Paul Ryan.
-
Bruce. Bernie Sanders is 74. Hillary Clinton is 69. This is the likeliest scenario for a Paul Ryan Administration.
-
Do you mind sharing why you dont want him to be VP? I am interested in how Sanders supporters will see this? I would lose some respect for him* and as Leferd said he is better off in the Senate since the VP spot is usually to shore up a weakness, reach a demographic, or groom a successor and doesn't have much real power My current pick would probably be Tulsi Gabbard even though Julian Castro is the favorite but like I said I would hope the VP would come from the Sanders camp *probably the same for Elizabeth Warren but not to the same degree Gabbard would be an interesting choice. I personally like her, but she broke from the ranks. Party discipline and all. She'll be in the penalty box for a while. If there's a takeaway the Dems can learn from the GOP meltdown, they can't allow willful insurrection to take hold.

Not happening. Nor should it. Sanders would be more effective in the Senate as that crazy gadfly Uncle from Vermont calling out whatever needs to be said, as opposed as a tamed mouthpiece taking orders from the administration. That and well...the Dems need a more...youthful up and comer to develop the benchfor 2020 and beyond. But I'm wondering if Sanders cannot be the nominee the threat of Trump becoming president will create this Clinton\Sanders alliance Sanders to me seems to be the most sincere candidate, he really seems to believe what he says...and the thought of Trump becoming president would be anathema to someone like him? My not so hot take: Hillary Clinton won the 2016 November General Election when Donald Trump and Ted Cruz became the leading GOP candidates.

Whitney Houston got robbed at the 1987 Grammys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMqqC8hCGVM There's no way Steve Winwood's Higher Love is a better record than Greatest Love of All.

Elizabeth Warren is very unlikely, though a bold choice.

It's a little old, but for what it's worth, this is the best reporting I've seen regarding an overview regarding Emailgate: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/how-clintons-email-scandal-took-root/2016/03/27/ee301168-e162-11e5-846c-10191d1fc4ec_story.html

I think we're talking about different things here. I am talking about the fracturation of homogenous societies into heterogenous ones and the shift of financial and political power to outside ones borders and its corresponding natural response to it. Felt there was a disconnect. To paraphrase: I wrote, "won't somebody please think of the children?" and posted music videos on teaching them well. You asked, Teach them what?" Regarding the international finance/globalization/mass migration and geopolitics in general--I'm not qualified to speak intelligently about such matters. I'll leave that to the experts like Hillary Clinton.
-
That's why you emphasize educating children at a young age to be civic minded. They may not grasp differential equations but teaching the difference from right and wrong behavior is a relatively simple process especially when minds are young and impressionable.

The Golden Rule is a good start. It's simple and easy to memorize. More advanced reading for those who like practical real world application of games theory: http://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Cooperation-Revised-Robert-Axelrod/dp/0465005640

You also live in a place where "ethnic" violent crime is unusual. Where you live most crime has an economic motive. It's a little bit of a different story when a insular ethnic group begins comitting violent crimes and the police are ordered to back off and let it happen. The order is not in those many words but the outcome is the same. The problem here is that when criminal behavior is not punished and steps are not taken to prevent it from law enforcement which is supposed to be dispassionate it will be done by the "people" who cannot be dispassionate. Then the ugly things like blaming all immigrants for the crimes of a few start to happen. I haven't looked into it much, but are these Sons of Odin types really even forming in communities that have a lot of immigrants or Muslims? I mean, neo-nazi groups tend to form in places that are predominantly white and poor. Are they a neo-nazi group? They claim they aren't. The only proof I saw in that article that they are is that some of it's members are KKK and Neo-nazis. And so, that makes it somewhat better? They are a hate group. Period. Trump's words are xenophobic and sexist. He is a narcissist pig who cares more about building his brand than responsible governance or debate. He is the least qualified presumptive major party nominee for the office of the President and his very candidacy is bringing out the worst in America to come out of the woodwork --inspiring hate groups that explicitly target minorities with real and tangible threats.
-
That sucks, TN. My condolences.
-
I don't see a problem with immigrants or Muslims to begin wth. Then again, I happen to be related by marriage to Middle Easterners and come from an immigrant family, myself. And I live in a place of significant cultural/ethnic/religious intermingling.

Happy 85th birthday, Willie Mays!
-
So Trump openly declaring the roundup of millions of immigrants, refugees, and muslims and holding rallies of how they are committing crimes and raping sprees isn't inciting and encouraging this type of behavior? And you're blaming law enforcement and progressive politics on this??
-
This seems really unnecessary..sorry guys I just think this type of initiative is more divisive than helpfulShouldn't I be scared of these guys? I would be. But then I tend to look like whatever (light brown) race that people want to project onto me and I've had a run in with some minutemen militia types once upon a time. Yep. My self preservation instincts and situational awareness tend to spike up a bit whenever groups openly talk about the threat of inflicting violence on my person based on their myopic perception of what I could hypothetically be doing to their people or property.

Really tempted to to read this. Co-written by Ex-Grantlander/Baseball Prospectus/FiveThirtyEighters. Basically stathead Sabremetricians are given the opportunity to play Moneyball with an Independent Minor (MINOR) League team. The sneak preview serves as a good teaser. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/heres-what-happened-when-we-tried-to-play-moneyball-without-any-money/ As a bonus, I like the mascot.

Watched the end of the Miami v Toronto game and checked my DVR. Saw I still have the last four episodes of Agents of Shield unwatched. Decided the show was garbage and made the decision to jump ship. But I'm still tempted to press play. Someone talk me out of it!

Cook clearly hasn't bothered to do their homework (par for the course for a publication such as that). I told you, New York is going to be solid red for the first time since '84. Bold prediction that flies in the face of conventional wisdom I know, but I stand by it. You've got about 6 months now to prepare to write my praises. I'll throw Republicans a bone: House races. http://cookpolitical.com/house/charts/race-ratings Projected Democratic gains but the GOP retains majority.

Ha! I find some of the things that come out of him intentionally hilarious. The man isn't dumb. Also quoted the art of the deal where trump talks about his media strategy being to be outrageous so people will talk about you. Free media coverage and people will be caught off guard when you are serious. I'm aware of his work. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/84229-us-elections-2016/?p=1781102 Updated Electoral College analysis from the Cook Political Report. http://cookpolitical.com/presidential/charts/scorecard
